After breakfast, Ye Lingran helped clean up the dining table, and while Yun Qi helped wash the dishes, he suddenly said, "There’s a charity gala tomorrow night that I need to attend. Will you co with ?"

"Yes." Yun Qi nodded. "As my girlfriend, isn’t it natural for you to be my date?"
Ye Lingran was speechless, wanting to agree but feeling a bit hesitant: "I’ve never attended such events, and..." She actually preferred quiet and wasn’t good at interacting with people, let alone socializing with celebrities from the business world. Just thinking about it gave her a headache.

"Alright, fine!" Ye Lingran nodded, washed the last bowl, shook off the water from her hands, and looked at the clock on the living room wall: "It’s ten-thirty."
"Mm, do you want to go grocery shopping? It feels like it’s been ages since I last ate your cooking, I kind of miss it."
Listening to his slightly pleading tone, Ye Lingran found herself unable to refuse, and smiled, nodding: "Sure, then let’s go to the supermarket now! asuring sizes can wait until later; what do you want for lunch?"
"Anything, as long as it’s made by you." They chatted while heading towards the door, with Yun Qi even helping her carry her bag and phone. After changing shoes at the entrance, they headed out together, ultimately driving Ye Lingran’s car to the nearest supermarket.
At the supermarket, Ye Lingran grabbed a shopping cart and went to the ingredients section to pick out groceries. Seeing the crabs in the fresh produce area, she couldn’t help but laugh: "Look, these two crabs are fighting in there!"

"Let’s just buy them all! After all, we still have the evening!"
Ye Lingran raised an eyebrow and glanced askew: "Wouldn’t buying so much be a bit extravagant?"
"Do I look like soone who’s short on cash?"
"Not really."
"Then let’s buy them! You’ve seen Yun Xi’s crazy grocery shopping skills, so compared to her, we’re small potatoes."
Thinking back to when they were at Lu Shishu’s house and also Yun Qi’s place, with all the things Yun Xi bought, it truly seed so. She always feared Yun Xi might buy out the entire supermarket and take all the ingredients ho; anyone who didn’t know better would think she was purchasing for a restaurant!
When the two finished picking out groceries and ingredients, Ye Lingran also helped him choose so fruits and bought so drinks. One shopping cart wasn’t enough for everything they got, so Yun Qi went and got another cart; after all, Ye Lingran considered that since his company had a seven-day break, he’d be ho every day and couldn’t avoid needing these things.
At checkout, Ye Lingran looked back at Yun Qi because he’d been carrying her bag. Receiving her gaze, Yun Qi chuckled lightly: "I’ll take care of it! Let’s put everything back into the shopping cart and push it to the parking lot later; it’s too heavy to carry."
"Alright!" Ye Lingran stepped forward, making room for him, and put the two large bags the cashier had packed into the cart. But when it ca to carrying the box of beer, drinks, and bottled water, she really couldn’t manage.
After finishing the paynt, Yun Qi reached out with a smile: "You push that cart, I’ll handle this one."
Returning to the villa, it was already past twelve. Seeing how tight ti was, Ye Lingran didn’t dare to delay, carried the two bags of groceries to the kitchen, put on an apron, and started working. As for moving the water, Yun Qi took care of it.
Altogether, there were about four cases of water, and Yun Qi made two trips back and forth to finish. The midday sun was particularly harsh, and once he got into the cool house, he was reluctant to leave. While she busied herself, Yun Qi put all the water into the fridge, then turned to look at her, busy brushing crabs and clams in food preparation.
