After speaking, Ye Lingran looked at the injury on his hand, and asked with a hint of concern, "Does it hurt?"
"It’s fine." Yun Qi wasn’t really bothered by such a minor injury and didn’t take it to heart.
Seeing his relaxed tone and laid-back deanor, Ye Lingran felt sowhat displeased inside but couldn’t say anything. When the waiter brought the gauze, Ye Lingran wrapped it around his hand: "When we just ca, there seed to be no pharmacy around here, so we’ll have to clean the wound when we get back. I brought a travel first-aid kit myself, with so antiseptic and dical alcohol inside."
"You even brought a first-aid kit?"
"It’s kind of a habit! I stayed abroad for a while before, so whenever I go anywhere, I always bring the first-aid kit just in case." Ye Lingran nodded. Seeing the white gauze on his hand being gradually soaked by red blood, she turned to the waiter and said, "Check, please!" After speaking, she went back to her seat to get her bag, coat, and scarf.
"Please wait a mont." The waiter nodded slightly and exited the booth again.
Seeing her flustered and anxious manner, Yun Qi also got up to pick up his coat, but because of the injury on his hand, putting on his clothes was a bit inconvenient. Ye Lingran noticed and had to put down her bag again and walked over to hold his sleeve so he could slowly put it on. After he was dressed, Ye Lingran accidentally looked up and his handso, gentle face was reflected in her eyes, even so close that she could see her own reflection in his dark eyes.

Ye Lingran was startled, her heart suddenly racing, and a blush quietly crept onto her delicate face, her breath catching. She hurried to explain while stepping back: "I... I just saw you... having difficulty, so..."
But just as she stepped back, Yun Qi stretched out his other uninjured hand to wrap around her waist: "Careful behind you."
Being held like that, Ye Lingran found herself pressed against Yun Qi’s chest, her heart seed to be on the verge of leaping out. When she made eye contact with his eyes, which had a teasing smile, she was flustered and imdiately turned her head, glanced at her back, and noticed it was the edge of a table. If she had actually stepped back, she might have ended up sprawled over the table.
"Tha... Thank you." Ye Lingran muttered, hanging her head, closed her eyes in frustration, and tried to pull away from his embrace.
Just then, footsteps sounded from outside, and Yun Qi released her naturally. Feeling his grip loosen, Ye Lingran imdiately stepped to the side. Just then, the door of the booth was pushed open, and the waiter and a man in a suit walked in, and the waiter introduced: "Hello, sir, this is our manager."
The manager saw the bandaged wound on his hand and repeatedly apologized with deep bows: "I’m really sorry, sir, I sincerely apologize on behalf of our reckless waiter. So, the bill, this ti, is on the house as compensation for you and your girlfriend."
Upon hearing this, Yun Qi raised an eyebrow, smiled, and lifted his hand to take a look: "It’s not a big deal, it’s okay."
Standing beside them, Ye Lingran heard these words, especially when the manager referred to her as his girlfriend, and her heart skipped again. She glanced at Yun Qi out of the corner of her eye and found nothing unusual; he was still smiling warmly and gently, so she quietly retracted her gaze.
After a brief conversation, Yun Qi accepted the manager’s offer for a free al. The two of them left the restaurant together, and Ye Lingran quickened her pace towards the hotel. After walking a short distance, she noticed Yun Qi was still leisurely walking behind her. She couldn’t help but sigh, took a few steps back, and tried to patiently, still gently, ask: "Can’t you walk a bit faster? It’s snowing, and your wound needs to be cleaned as soon as possible."
Yun Qi looked at her intently, his eyes clearly full of amusent. Seeing his indifferent attitude, Ye Lingran sighed again and, without much thought, reached out to grab his wrist and pulled him to walk forward.
A slender soft hand covered his wrist, and Yun Qi’s eyes deepened. Letting her lead him, they walked to a pedestrian crossing where, due to the lack of traffic lights, a car suddenly approached. Yun Qi reacted quickly, reversing his grip to tightly wrap her hand in his palm, pulling her into his arms: "Watch out, there’s a car."
Ye Lingran was actually startled by the car that suddenly passed by, but as he pulled her, she was stunned for a mont. She looked up at him and then averted her gaze as they made eye contact, saying ’thank you.’ Only then did she realize she had been holding onto him the whole ti, and now, with his hand holding hers, a sweet feeling inexplicably rose in her heart.
