After dinner, the three of them moved to the living room. The butler then instructed soone to bring red tea and a fruit platter, said "Take your ti," and then nodded slightly before exiting the living room.
Ye Lingran picked up the cup of red tea, and before it reached her lips, a rich tea aroma lingered around her nose, with a refreshing feeling. She took a light sip; the taste was slightly astringent, but after swallowing, it gradually turned sweet, and felt increasingly pleasant on the palate.
"I heard from Qi’er that you really like drinking red tea, so a few days ago I specifically asked soone from Turkey to bring so back, just to try it out." Su Wantang also took a delicate sip, raised her eyes to look at Ye Lingran, and asked with a smile, "How is it? Do you like the taste?"
"Mm, it’s quite good, with a very special taste. It’s different from the red teas I’ve had before. Thank you, Uncle, for your concern." Ye Lingran smiled faintly. She indeed favored this kind of tea and had tried different red teas from various places, but this one had a particularly unique taste.
"As long as you like it. I was worried it might not suit your taste!" Su Wantang chuckled softly, put down the teacup, and used a silver fork to pick up a piece of fruit to hand to her: "Take two packets with you when you leave later. Drink them at ho. If there’s none left, just let know or tell Qi’er. I will have soone bring more back." After saying that, she gave a signal to the butler standing outside the living room.
The butler understood, nodded, and turned to give instructions.
This made Ye Lingran feel a little overwheld and embarrassed, quickly put down the cup and waved her hand, "No need, no need, that’s too much trouble!"
"Why not? Earlier, I said, don’t be restrained. Just treat this place as your ho. Besides, you brought gifts when you arrived, and I haven’t prepared a welco gift for you yet! If you don’t accept this, then I’m embarrassed to accept your gift."
Upon hearing Su Wantang say this, Ye Lingran had no choice but to accept, smiling awkwardly, "Then thank you, Aunt, for your kind gesture."
After chatting with Su Wantang at the Yun Family Villa until a little after eight o’clock, Ye Lingran stood up, ready to leave. Picking up her light pea-green coat, she gently smiled at Su Wantang and said, "I’ve really imposed on you today, Aunt. It’s getting late, so I’ll excuse myself and not disturb your rest."
"Okay, these happy tis always pass so quickly." Su Wantang smiled as she stood up, walked to her, and took her hand. "Co visit when you have ti to chat again."
"Mm, definitely." Ye Lingran responded with a bright smile, her gaze shifting to Yun Qi, seemingly hinting sothing to him.
Yun Qi raised an eyebrow cheerfully and leisurely stood up. He nodded slightly to Su Wantang, "Mom, we’ll take our leave." Then he exchanged a look with Ye Lingran and picked up her bag from the sofa, heading toward the door.
"Young master, Miss Ye, this is the special red tea from Turkey, the sa one you just enjoyed. As per the lady’s request, it has been packed for Miss Ye." Just as they were about to exit through the villa’s composite door, the butler ca forward and handed the delicate dark green bag to Ye Lingran.
Ye Lingran reached out to take it, her gaze moving from the butler to Su Wantang, "Thank you, Aunt, for your kindness. I will definitely savor this red tea well."
"Good, if you need more in the future, feel free to let know or ask Qi’er."
"Okay, then we’ll go now. Aunt, rest early."
After leaving the Yun Family Villa by car, Ye Lingran stared at the beautifully packaged red tea in her hand, lost in thought. When the car stopped at a traffic light, Yun Qi glanced at her reflexively and saw she was daydreaming, so he asked with a smile, "What’s wrong? Is there sothing wrong with the tea?"
Ye Lingran, hearing this, quickly returned to her senses, turned to look at him, and shook her head, "No... there’s nothing wrong, it’s just... Aunt is even more kind and personable than I imagined, very approachable, and she really went to great lengths with this tea."
"Oh? Then what did you imagine my mom to be like before?" Yun Qi, upon hearing this, was a bit curious, looked at her with interest.
"Um... that’s not what I ant." Being countered by Yun Qi like this, Ye Lingran didn’t know how to explain, "It’s just... I... think... um..."
"I understand." Seeing her look of confusion not knowing how to express herself, Yun Qi couldn’t help but laugh, interrupting her words, and when the green light ca on, he restarted the car and drove through the intersection: "My mom is always like this. Didn’t I tell you before when you went? Don’t be nervous." Then, he paused for a mont and said softly, "Do you like the red tea...?"
