"Mom." Yun Qi smiled gently and slowly called out.
"Here you are." Su Wantang slightly raised the corner of her mouth into a curve, her voice very soft. Her beautiful starry eyes briefly assessed Ye Lingran, and a bit of satisfaction grew in her eyes, "You must be Ye Lingran! You’re even more beautiful than in the photos from the reports. "Yes, madam." The housekeeper nodded and turned to head to the kitchen.

After sitting down, Su Wantang learned that Ye Lingran had personally gone to pick out a gift for her that afternoon, and felt even more satisfied with her future daughter-in-law, smiling as she said, "Since your affair with Qi’er was reported online, I’ve been wanting to et you. Yun Qi quietly sat on the sofa sipping coffee, listening silently to the conversation between the two.

"Both of my parents work in legal affairs."

"Madam, young master, the table is set." Su Wantang’s voice had just fallen when the housekeeper ca over to announce.
"Let’s go eat then!" Saying this, Su Wantang led Ye Lingran by the hand to the dining room. The dining room had a large round table with seven dishes on it, the presentation and arrangent of which resembled those in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
After they were seated, the servants left the dining room, and Su Wantang smiled and said, "I didn’t know what you liked to eat in advance, so I asked the kitchen to prepare a variety. See if there’s anything you like, and next ti I’ll rember and have the kitchen make it for you."

"No need to be so polite. From now on, we’re family, so you don’t need to be so formal at our ho."

Since the New Year is coming soon, I’ll visit her parents during that ti to discuss this with them. Once everything’s confird, both families can et. At least it won’t seem abrupt, and the engagent party should be scheduled for next year, otherwise, there’s not enough ti."
Listening to his orderly explanation, Ye Lingran’s mind wavered. Although she knew he was using it as an excuse to stall Su Wantang, she couldn’t help but feel her heart race slightly, with a sense of longing.

"You two should discuss this yourselves and choose a suitable date as well."
"Alright." Yun Qi replied with a smile, glancing sideways at Ye Lingran.
