In the western province of the Empire of Nanla, close to the border town of the Dorne Empire, within the Lord’s Mansion, the portly City Lord was embracing a scantily-clad woman, drinking heavily with a few mbers of the Nobility, savoring the fine wine smuggled from the Great Tang Empire.

Being able to taste the fine wine from the Great Tang Empire in a place like this was certainly not an easy feat; this required thanking Prince Mo Kangsen for his well-known "friendship" with the Great Tang Empire.

Mo Kangsen could cover the sky with one hand in the Empire of Nanla, naturally because of the support from the Great Tang Empire behind him. And the Empire of Nanla always maintained a neutral stance toward the Great Tang Empire, all because the corpulent Mo Kangsen swayed the judgnt of the Nanla Emperor.

Though the Empire of Nanla always seed like a marginal player, in reality, their economy has done quite well over the years, building a substantial Military force.

Credit for this goes to the support from the Great Tang Empire, and also to the Nobility of the Empire of Nanla: they’ve almost sold off every resource they could.

The coal mines, iron mines, copper mines of Nanla... all have been massively transported to the Great Tang Empire, becoming the raw materials for the Great Tang Empire’s nation-building.

Even a strange, dangerous mineral from Nanla, one that can cause sickness and death, which the Great Tang Empire called "reflexive mineral," has been massively sold to rchants from the Great Tang Empire.

The rchants from the Great Tang Empire have been very generous in return, leaving the people of Nanla with imnse wealth: a vast amount of money and various beneficial infrastructure projects.

The Great Tang Empire even left them with so technology, enabling them to develop so industries on their own; relying on this, the little days of the Empire of Nanla could be said to be thriving.

"What are you doing here? A washed-up woman." The City Lord glanced at the visiting Susan with disdain, snorting coldly.

Susan had t him before, and the two had even played poker all night. At that ti, Susan begged the City Lord for a loan, and finally, the City Lord gave her 500 Gold Coins to sever their "romantic ties."

"No need to be so harsh, Lord of the City, everyone has their unlucky tis... On the flip side, doesn’t everyone also have their lucky monts?"

"You used to be quite lucky, clinging to Prince Mo Kangsen’s leg and with the support of the Great Tang Group... But now, you have nothing." The City Lord poured the wine from his cup onto the woman beside him, causing her to yelp.

The thin attire of the woman beca imdiately transparent, with her bosom faintly visible, causing the surrounding Nobility to burst into laughter. For a mont, it was unclear if they were laughing at Susan or at the harlot.

Susan didn’t care; she was like a venomous creature, never having much goodwill. Since they looked down on her so much, she didn’t mind using the most poisonous ans to give these fools a good treat.

"They do not appreciate my abilities, so naturally, I have to find a more competent master myself. One always needs to leave oneself a way out," Susan justified her choice and then, amidst laughter, continued on her own: "I’m here this ti to discuss a business deal with you, a deal... enough for you to live the rest of your life lying on money."

"Ha! If you have such a deal, I’m definitely interested..." The fat City Lord cast a glance at Susan, having little interest left in this aging fling but still interested in money.

"Have you heard of Black Crow?" Susan asked suddenly.

The room fell silent, and the City Lord’s gaze turned cold. He pushed away the woman in his arms, who sensibly got up and left, not caring at all about her drenched clothes.

All the accompanying won left the room, leaving only a few of the City Lord’s close Noble confidants and the City Lord himself. Everyone’s eyes focused on Susan, as if she were naked.

"I have Black Crow... or rather, I am the one selling Black Crow." Susan took a vial of body-ward pills from her cleavage and flashed an ambiguous smile: "I suppose you’ve all experienced its wonders, right?"

"Give it to ! I’ll buy it! 10 Gold Coins a piece!" A Nobleman, already starting to sniffle, stretched his nose, wishing to climb over the table in front of him to grab that oddly-colored bottle of pills.

"Get lost! Twenty Gold Coins a piece! I’ll take them all!" Another Nobleman’s eyes shone like lanterns, looking at Susan as if she were a divine idol.

"Enough!" The City Lord shouted, bringing the scene temporarily under control. He looked at Susan once more, sporting a broad exaggerated grin: "You just said... you wanted to discuss a business deal with ?"

"That’s right, I want to sell this drug in your jurisdiction... I’ll give you 10,000 pills of this kind every month, and you give 50,000 Gold Coins... the rest, you can keep for yourself." Susan offered a pretty favorable deal.

This price was set by Sofia, worrying that if the price of the drug was too high, it couldn’t spread quickly and therefore couldn’t fully display the potency of this poison.

Yes, even Sofia had classified this drug as a poison: it gnaws at the bones and soul, possibly the world’s most lethal poison.

For a mont, the breathing in the room beca rapid: 10,000 pills a month! They could earn double the profit... This business, just thinking about it made their blood boil.

They had all tried this Divine dicine; that feeling was simply unforgettable. They longed for more such thrills because their world had already beco void to the extre.

"I knew a woman like you would make a coback." The City Lord’s grin stretched wider, looking uglier: "Are you interested in staying tonight... to enjoy it with us?"

"Of course, but you... must satisfy ." Susan fluttered her seductive eyes, savoring the feeling of being surrounded; this was what she craved.

"But, before you enjoy ..." Susan took out a golden card and handed it to the City Lord: "You must offer your loyalty to that adult."

"..." The City Lord said nothing, having seen the fla on the card, hesitated for a few seconds, then reached out to grab it, stuff it into his pocket: "Fine! Just give the Black Crow, and I’ll listen to you guys."

anwhile, in Dorne, in Laines... in many places, a certain Divine dicine was starting to trend. It cured all diseases, allowing people to forget all pain... This drug was called Black Crow, more miraculous and effective than all the drugs of the Great Tang Empire.
