Sett nodded inwardly in thought.

It was not entirely coincidental that Sett had ended up with exactly the amount of Tomb Hearts he needed to reach Tier 2 Sacred. When he killed Lord Burrhen, he had planned to kill enough Shining mbers to reach the peak of Tier 2.

How could he waste precious resources to grow stronger?

The only thing that hadn't gone according to plan was the Tier 4 Ghost's presence.

He should have probed that out of Lord Burrhen.

It was a mistake on Sett's part, and it was also reckless. But that had co from a place of overconfidence, too.

Sett hadn't thought much of Burrhen and the Shining.

They were resources, nothing more.

That had made him a bit more reckless than usual. He had believed that no matter what happens after he kills Burrhen, he could handle it.

After all, Sett would be able to use his Axiom after that. But in the end, he had been forced to pull a worst-case scenario trump card to escape from the Tier 4 Ghost.

Sett began to rethink a bit about his overconfidence.

If he faced real enemies with such a mindset, he wouldn't know what killed him.

I have to be more careful.

But then, his gaze focused back on his status.

[Axiom Holder]

Axiom of Reincarnation (Tier 5) (Barely Active).

(Can only use Tier 1 abilities)

Abilities:

River of Reincarnation Life Share Death's Call Death Begets Life Murder Souls

(Progress: 18 Kiloters of Land)

Hidden Title: (Uncrowned Pharaoh of Ehyut)

===

Looking at those stats made Sett strangely gloomy.

After all, two of the abilities in his hands were nearly useless in this life. For one, his reincarnated family—people like Zainah—wouldn't be able to reincarnate again.

So, River of Reincarnation was almost useless.

And for another, Murder Soul.

Looking at that ability made Sett even more gloomy. It had ruined so many things for him in his past life. He had never liked that ability one bit. In fact, he hated it.

But then, Sett's gaze moved even further in his stats.

This had been full of surprises.

—[Innate Life Path]—

[Limitless Evolution Art]

[1/6 unlocked (0/1000 Neutral Energy).]

(1) Limitless Magic—Tomb Lord.

Current Tomb Size: 18 Kiloters.

Current Tomb Rank: C-Tier.

Even though Sett had killed a lot of Tomb Raiders and ghosts, that had never made the Neautral Energy bar progress even a bit. Even when it first appeared, it had only progressed when Sett killed mummies, so he didn't wonder how to fill it up.

The answer was clear, he had to kill more mummies and guardians.

The first Limitless Magic alone had been fantastic, Sett couldn't wait to see what the other abilities were. Were they all going to be as good as Tomb Lord?

It was almost as if Sett had another Axiom other than Reincarnation!

This reincarnation looks quite nice.

"...are you even listening?" Zarah asked.

"Hm?" Sett looked at her face, which was an inch away from his own. "Did you say sothing?"

She groaned. "So you weren't listening at all!?"

Sett scratched his chin in embarrassnt. "What were you talking about?"

She huffed, turning away from him.

Sett thought she was pretty adorable when she looked genuinely mad, but he was also curious what she had been talking about when he was distracted. After all, she had been awake for a whole day, so she must have learned sothing about this place.

So, he pointed at a shop that sold sweets nearby.

She also looked at the shop.

There was a special snack of the desert that had once been popular in ancient tis—so old that even in Sett's lifeti, it had already vanished. It had been a favorite in his grandmother's grandmother's era, but by the ti Isra was born, it had long ceased production.

In Sett's era, he had used his authority as a Pharaoh to make that sweet return.

How can he not bring it back?

Isra had once said she wanted to eat it, so of course, he made that a reality for her.

But in this Tomb, that seed unnecessary.

The sweet, which should have only existed in the ti of the First Pharaoh, was being sold right here.

He walked up to the stall, his gaze fixed on the treat.

It was called a Reconciliation Bun.

"I'll buy you one if you tell what you were talking about," he said to Zarah. "It's really sweet."

She blinked. "Really? It doesn't sll good. And these ancient people all look weird."

"Then you don't have to eat it." Sett snorted. "They are not that weird."

"They are weird, can't you see? Look at their clothes, so funny."

Sett glared at her. "You are the one that looks weird, your whole family is weird."

She laughed like tinkling bells.

"Why are you so mad, big bro?"

"Just because?"

"Okay, okay. Don't be mad. Buy that sweet and I will tell you what I was talking about."

Sett went up to the street-ventor and used a gold coin from within his Tomb to buy the sweets. Gold was valuable in any day, age, and place. And thankfully, he had quite a lot inside his Inner Tomb.

He then stuffed the whole bun into the girl's mouth, making her laugh but chomp it down.

"I almost swallowed it whole," she said, giggling. "What did I do?"

Sett snorted, looking at the city. To think that the future generations would think that his empire's people looked weird, it made Sett a bit irritated.

Didn't that an the past him was also weird?

All the ladies were swooning over him!

How can he be weird?

He shook his head. "Leave it at that, what were you going to tell ?"

She smiled at him, mouth still half full of bun.

But Sett could see the underlying emotions in her.

"I was just talking about how many people died, and just talking about what happened… you know?" She sniffed. "And I was also thanking you, Big Brother."

Sett ruffled the girl's hair. "Do you thank your big sister when she does sothing good for you?"

"Hm, no? That would be weird."

"Then don't thank , either."

She smiled, hugging his neck, gulping down the bread. "Okay, big brother."

With that, Zarah, who had just experienced the most transformative days of her life—fell asleep in Sett's arms. Her face, imnsely fatigued, looked relieved and at ease.

The girl must have been tired after everything.

Sett gently carried her in his arms as he searched for Zainah.

But soon, he noticed the weird looks people were giving him.

His clothes didn't exactly match the era.

Sett disappeared with Zarah into a shop, soon leaving, he and the girl in his arms now both in ancient-looking clothes.

Now, anyone who looked at him did with either a genuine appreciation of beauty, or heated envy.
