Director Fury quietly called Deadpool and handed him a USB drive, giving him an order.
"Eleanor, I need you to retrieve the data from the Lemurian Star. It's important, so don't worry about anything else! And keep this a secret from the other agents."
"Trust , Director."
Wink~!
Deadpool winked at Director Fury.
"R-right... Jin recomnded you, so I'm sure you'll do fine."
Director Fury didn't look entirely pleased, but because I had recomnded Deadpool, he seed willing to trust him. Deadpool hid the USB drive and was deployed on the rescue mission for the 'Lemurian Star'. The operation was led by Captain Arica, Deadpool, and the Strike Team led by 'Brock Rumlow'. Rumlow explained the situation as they flew in a Quinjet.
"The target is the mobile satellite launch vessel Lemurian Star. It was hijacked by pirates just before its final launch."
Captain Arica asked,
"What are their demands?"
"1.5 billion dollars."
"Why so much?"
"They know it's a S.H.I.E.L.D. ship."
"I see. How many pirates?"
Rumlow manipulated the screen, showing photos and continuing his explanation.
"25. This is their leader, 'Georges Batroc'."
"The hostages?"
"Mostly technicians. The supervisor, 'Jasper Sitwell', is confined to the galley."
Having gathered enough information, Captain Arica explained the plan.
"The plan is for and Eleanor to quietly take out the enemies on the deck, and the team will then secure the deck..."
While Captain Arica was explaining the plan, I showed Deadpool the location of the server room, the routes, and the positions of the enemies on a 3D holographic map.
"Go here. It'll take ti, so ignore everything else and just go straight there. Plug in the USB, and I'll extract the data."
Deadpool nodded quietly. When Captain Arica finished his explanation, everyone prepared to jump from the Quinjet.
"See you below."
With that, Captain Arica jumped from the Quinjet. One of the Strike Team mbers asked Rumlow,
"Did he have a parachute?"
"No."
Just then, Deadpool said,
"I'm going too."
With that, he also jumped. When Rumlow saw that Deadpool also didn't have a parachute, he urgently shouted,
"Eleanor! The parachute! Damn..."
I also urgently said,
"Hey! You need to wear a parachute when you jump!"
-Cap started off so cool, I couldn't back down!
"You crazy fool! Cap is a Super Soldier! This is really high up! Even if you fall into the ocean, it's like falling onto concrete from 15 stories!"
-What? Really!?
After falling for a while, Deadpool landed in the ocean near the target ship.
Splash! Crunch!
As expected, I could vividly hear the sound of Deadpool's bones shattering. It looked painful.
-Ugh! My hip bone!
"This is insane... Can you swim?"
-Just a sec... let pull my thigh bone out of my hip...

Deadpool groaned in the ocean, set his thigh bone back in place, and slowly swam toward the ship. Seeing this, the healing factor was truly overpowered.

"Stop talking weird and focus on the mission!"

Sounds of Captain Arica fighting echoed from the ship. In the anti, Deadpool quietly moved to the server room and, as I had instructed, plugged the USB into a computer.

I quickly hacked in remotely and began storing all the classified data onto the USB.
"I'm storing the data on the USB now. It'll take so ti, so stand by."
-Okay. But since I've beco a woman, I have periods. Does that an I can get pregnant too?
"Probably. Your body is fully female now."
-Then I'll have to be careful when having sex.
"You don't an... you want to try having sex with a man?"

Was this just Deadpool being himself...? I hoped he wasn't considering a sex change. While exchanging absurd conversations with Deadpool, Captain Arica urgently contacted us.
-Eleanor, I lost Batroc. Eleanor?
Hearing that, Deadpool asked ,
-Hey, what do I do now?
"Just stay there and ignore it. Cap will co and confront you. Just tell him it was your mission. That will give Cap enough of a hint. He'll figure it out."
-Okay. But do we really have to follow the original tiline? You could just tell him. 'Hydra is your mother,' sothing like that.
"What if that changes the future into sothing we can't handle?"
-I suppose so.
Just then, as expected, Captain Arica, having shoved Batroc aside, broke through the server room door with his shield and punched Batroc, knocking him out.
Thump!
Seeing that, Deadpool said to Captain Arica, as planned.
"Oh my! Busted! What shall I do~"
Deadpool's acting was terrible.
"What are you doing here?"
"Hard backup."
Captain Arica approached Deadpool and checked the computer.
"Downloading S.H.I.E.L.D. data. Our mission is hostage rescue."
"That's your mission. This one's mine."
When I signaled that the download was complete, Deadpool took the USB.
"Who ordered it? Director Fury?"
"I can't say. You know how it is in this business."
Just then, Batroc, having regained consciousness, suddenly got up and ran away, throwing a grenade at Captain Arica. Captain Arica quickly grabbed Deadpool and threw them through a glass window into the next room, avoiding the explosion.
Boom!!
"Wow~ You protected ? That's exciting?"
Captain Arica looked at Deadpool incredulously.
"Every ti I look at you, I feel like I've seen you sowhere before."
Hearing that, Deadpool was flustered.
Wh-where else would you find such a beautiful woman?"
"Geez... saying that about yourself."
Just then, Rumlow contacted them, saying the pirates had been subdued and the hostages rescued safely. However, Batroc had not been caught. With the ship's situation resolved, they returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. on the Quinjet. Deadpool handed the USB with the data directly to Director Fury.
"Just as I expected from soone Jin recomnded."
"Thank you, Director. But the file was so big it took ti, and Captain Arica caught ."
Director Fury thought for a mont, then said,
"It can't be helped. I'll handle that. Anyway, good work."
"Then, I'll go get so rest."
"Okay. And stay within contact."
"Yes~"
And so, that day ended. At this rate, it seed things were progressing like the original. Captain Arica would likely share the Project Insight plans with Director Fury. But Deadpool grumbled a bit. He didn't seem to like Director Fury's managent style.
-Now I understand why Natasha looked so happier and more relaxed after leaving S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Right? Director Fury is a bit like that."
-Tell about it. He doesn't appreciate jokes and is no fun at all.
Deadpool pointed out that Director Fury was boring and stiff. It was a bit different from what I was thinking, but it didn't matter, so I let it go.
The next day, while Deadpool rested, I was checking the standard version Talaria RVs. I had made six in total. Two were stored in my inventory, and three would be used at the Avengers base. The driving thod was the sa as the existing Talarias, so the mbers should have no problem using them.
The remaining one was kept in the lab as a spare. I also didn't forget to check on Xandar. Since it was the sa year, I didn't know when sothing might happen. I couldn't let the Power Stone fall into Thanos's hands.
Ti passed. Then, I received word that Director Fury had been shot and was in critical condition. Deadpool rushed to the hospital. Captain Arica and Maria Hill were already there, watching Fury's surgery from another room.
I told Deadpool to ask what had happened.
"What happened?"
"Nick Fury ca to my place and was shot. The shooter was fast and strong. One of his arms was tal."
Just like in the original story, Fury had sensed another presence within S.H.I.E.L.D. and was trying to inform Captain Arica when he was assassinated.
Just then, urgent voices ca from the operating room.
"Blood pressure is dropping."
"Prepare the defibrillator!"
"Three, two, one, clear!"
Thump!
"Pulse?"
"Nothing."
"One more ti. Turn it up to 200!"
Thump!
"Pulse?"
"Nothing."
The doctors eventually shook their heads. A sign of death. Captain Arica couldn't watch until the end and went outside. Deadpool, knowing it was Fury's act, watched for a bit and then went outside. Outside, he saw Captain Arica hiding sothing in a vending machine.
-He's not very good at hiding things, is he?
"That's because we know what's going to happen, so we're looking for it."
-You think?
Captain Arica hid the USB drive in the vending machine and then seed to be called away by Rumlow, heading to S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Anyway, go get it."
-Ah~ damn! Why grape flavor! I like strawberry gum...
"Stop sucking on Thanos's balls and just get it out."
-Oh hohoho~ That was a good one~
Deadpool kept pulling out grape gum and retrieved the USB.
-So now we just wait?
"Right."
-This is boring...
"I'll send you a Talaria RV. Want to rest in there? It's the RV version I made this ti. I'll keep an eye out for Captain Arica."
-When did you make that? Sure! I thought I'd have to play dead at the hospital forever.
"I'll send so equipnt too."
-Send a PlayStation too.
"Geez, fine."
I imdiately put food, a PlayStation, and equipnt into a Talaria RV and sent it remotely to Deadpool's location.
"I sent it to the back alley of the hospital. Sneak in and rest. Don't turn off stealth mode. If people see it, Hydra might notice."
-Okay. You keep a good watch for Cap.
I wasn't actually going to watch. Minerva was tracking Captain Arica's movents, so she would let know if he ca near the hospital.
[Master, S.H.I.E.L.D. has issued an arrest warrant for Captain Arica. They have inford us as well.]
"Keep it a secret from the mbers for now."
[Understood, Master.]
I imdiately inford Deadpool, who was playing gas inside the RV.
-So, he'll be here soon?
"I don't know. He might make a stop first. Anyway, be ready."
-What's there to prepare? I'll just keep playing gas. Let know when he's close.
Given Deadpool's laid-back personality, I didn't say anything else. Ti passed. Minerva inford that Captain Arica was coming to the hospital.
"Hey! He's coming!"
-Ah! Just a little more and I would have beaten the boss... Damn! Save... save...
"Hey! Hurry up and get ready. He's coming."
Deadpool got out of the RV and hurried back into the hospital. He saw Captain Arica looking for the USB in the vending machine.
"Honey, what are you looking for?"
At that, Captain Arica pushed Deadpool against the wall and asked with a harsh expression.
Thud!
"Where's the USB?"
"Wow... when you co on that strong, it makes nervous. I need so ti to prepare ntally."
"Stop joking!"
"Geez... It's in a safe place."
"What's the information on that drive?"
"I don't know. I just did what I was told."
"By who?"
"Well... you see..."
As Deadpool hesitated, I said,
-Just tell him it was .
"Right, it was Jin! He told to help Director Fury!"
"What? Why would Jin do that?"
I quickly typed out a line and displayed it on Deadpool's view.
"Jin knew sothing was wrong with S.H.I.E.L.D. for a while, so he sent in. The Director agreed to it."
"Prove it."
Captain Arica wanted proof. I could understand his position. S.H.I.E.L.D. was in such a state that he couldn't trust anyone right now.
-Show him the Talaria. That should be enough.
"Follow ."
Captain Arica and Deadpool left the hospital and boarded the Talaria RV.
"It's real... Only Jin or Tony could build sothing like this."
Deadpool showed him the USB and said,
"And he told that you should help too."
"I see."
I typed out a line for Deadpool.
"This USB can be tracked. S.H.I.E.L.D. will know the mont it boots up. Besides, we don't know what kind of virus might be on it. So we can't analyze it here. If the Talaria gets damaged or attacked, we'll lose a valuable asset."
"Then where can we check the USB?"
"Let's go to a computer store in a mall. There will be lots of people there, so it'll be good for hiding."
"Good."
Deadpool and Captain Arica took the Talaria to a nearby mall and went to a computer store. So far, it was going according to my plan without any major problems.
