Chapter 1857: Chapter 1857: The Tenny Family Sends Soone Again Chapter 1857: Chapter 1857: The Tenny Family Sends Soone Again Drexel wasn’t a fool. He sneered and said, “Ethan Smith, you think you can turn into your muscle?”
“Just answer whether you’re going or not.” Ethan frowned and asked.
Drexel chuckled and said, “Well, you’ve got to tell what’s in it for . If there’s sothing worthwhile, I might reconsider.”
“Screw you! Won’t need you to go!” Ethan lost his patience; after all, whether there was one more person or one less person didn’t make much of a difference.
Afterward, Ethan brought Demon Brayden to the well base beneath the Boundless Temple and temporarily suppressed him using Buddhist Law.
Once everything was settled, Ethan prepared to leave.
Just as he reached the entrance, he saw Drexel waiting there.
He had a stalk of foxtail grass hanging from his mouth, lazily sizing up Ethan.
“Where are you off to?” Drexel asked.
“The Tenny family, the Tenny family of the Central Province. What, scared to go?” Ethan said with a sly smile.
Drexel sneered and said, “That kind of reverse psychology doesn’t work on .”
Ethan spread his hands and said, “Alright then, farewell!”
With that, Ethan didn’t even look back and quickly left the Boundless Temple.
Upon returning to Thunder Courtyard, the peak master asked, “How did you handle the person?”
“He’s locked beneath the Boundless Temple. He shouldn’t surface anyti soon,” Ethan replied truthfully.
The peak master nodded, then said, “I estimate the mission will be issued in no more than three days. Make sure you’re ready.”
“After all, we’re heading to the Tenny family, and nobody knows the true depths of their foundation.”
Ethan nodded and replied, “If there truly is danger, everyone can retreat quickly without hesitation.”
The peak master said nothing more. As the peak master of Demon-slaying Peak, he naturally bore the responsibility of safeguarding everyone’s safety.
Returning to his cave abode, Ethan retrieved the Life Aura.
The contents of this small vial of Life Aura, though not particularly dense, were still of considerable value.
He placed it near his nose and sniffed lightly, then murmured, “If there were enough Life Aura, I might be able to continuously enhance my physical body.”
*Of course, this is not sothing to rush; it’s rely a fleeting thought.*
In the following days, Ethan and Frederick Cohen spent their ti together, awaiting the order to act against the Tenny family.
anwhile, the Tenny family was also preparing for Ethan’s arrival.
Addison Tenny, as the person in charge of this matter, naturally managed the entire situation.
In the Great Hall, Addison paced back and forth without rest.
Stanley Yoder sat calmly on one side, appearing quite composed.
“Do you think this Ethan Smith might simply give up?” Addison frowned and asked.
“No.” Stanley took a sip of tea, as if everything was within his grasp.
Addison glanced over at Stanley and said coldly, “If it really cos to nothing, I’ll personally carry the Saint Weapon and wait for Ethan Smith at Thunder Courtyard!”
“Absolutely not.” Stanley imdiately shook his head.
“This matter is far more complex than you imagine. Having delayed this long, Ethan must have thoroughly prepared.” Stanley continued.
Addison looked at Stanley in confusion, waiting for him to elaborate.
Stanley said coldly, “If he becos desperate, he might spread word of the key across the entire Holy Region before being captured. No matter what happens, we must keep him confined within the Tenny family’s domain!”
Addison remained silent for a mont before suddenly asking, “What if Ethan tells soone else about the key before coming to the Tenny family?”
“That’s exactly what I fear, and precisely why we must lure him to the Tenny family,” Stanley said nonchalantly.
“Once he’s captured here, we can use soul searching on him before killing him.”
“If he has indeed told soone else, we can trace them and eliminate them accordingly.”
Addison understood this and sighed, saying, “It seems we’ll need to send soone to make life difficult for him first…”
As the two were speaking, an elderly figure suddenly entered the room.
Seeing the elder, Stanley and the others imdiately stood up, respectfully positioning themselves to the side.
The newcor was none other than Ronin Tenny, the current head of the Tenny family.
“Father,” Addison bent forward and greeted him respectfully.
Ronin walked directly across the Great Hall and seated himself on the Throne.
“The matter still isn’t resolved?” Ronin asked with slight displeasure.
Addison dared not speak out, instead looking toward Stanley for assistance.
Stanley took a step forward promptly and said, “Family Head, this involves Thunder Courtyard, so we must proceed cautiously.”
“Thunder Courtyard is of no concern,” Ronin snorted coldly.
He then waved his hand, and a young man stepped into the room.
The young man carried a stern expression and emanated a robust aura as he strode inside with the confidence of an indomitable force.
Upon seeing the young man, Addison’s face subtly changed, and a trace of jealousy flickered deep in his eyes.
He walked up to Ronin, slightly bowed, and said, “Master.”
“Hmm.” Ronin nodded, a hint of gratification in his gaze.
The young man was none other than Alfie Tenny, Ronin’s direct disciple.
At just over a hundred years old, Alfie’s strength had already reached the middle stage of Returning Void.
What was even more impressive was that he had once single-handedly slain eight veteran Returning Void cultivators of the sa level. He was the Tenny family’s foremost chosen one, far surpassing Addison in power!
Because of this, Alfie held an exceptional position in the Tenny family and was deeply favored by Ronin.
“Alfie, would you be interested in going to Thunder Courtyard?” Ronin suddenly asked.
Alfie bowed and answered, “I’ll do as Master sees fit.”
Ronin’s face lit up with a faint smile as he said, “Then it’s decided. With your abilities, entering Thunder Courtyard won’t be difficult.”
“Understood, Master.” Alfie said no more and imdiately left the Great Hall.
After he left, Addison and Stanley quickly grasped Ronin’s intentions.
“Family Head, are you planning to send him to Demon-slaying Peak to kill Ethan Smith?” Stanley frowned and asked.
“Exactly,” Ronin said calmly.
“Once he becos part of Demon-slaying Peak, eliminating Ethan wouldn’t break any rules, and Thunder Courtyard would have no grounds to object.”
Beside them, Addison gritted his teeth and said, “Father, I can go too!”
“You?” Ronin shook his head. “With your skills, I doubt Thunder Courtyard would accept you.”
Addison’s pupils constricted sharply, and bulging veins resembling writhing worms appeared on his forehead.
These words dealt a trendous blow to Addison, leaving him overco with frustration and resentnt.
“Enough—this is final. With Alfie taking action, killing Ethan Smith will be no challenge,” Ronin said as he stood.
“I’m confident that within days, Alfie will return with both the token and Ethan’s corpse to present to .”
