Chapter 166: 166 Mr. He Kneeling to Kiss Her, a Sudden Attack (2nd Update) Chapter 166: 166 Mr. He Kneeling to Kiss Her, a Sudden Attack (2nd Update) Hannah Johnson had thought he would kiss her, but instead he leaned in, his breath grazing her ear with a clear, gentle voice, which also rubbed a trace of warmth by her ear.
He reached out, tucking her disheveled hair behind her ear,
he said, “Your hair is ssy.”
Hannah Johnson gritted her teeth,
Why did she feel that he was deliberately teasing her?
As he stepped back, Hannah Johnson shifted her bottom, got down from the shoe cabinet, and with her head spinning, she stumbled and sat down on the sofa, while the small brown dog glanced at the kitchen. “Need to make you sothing to sober up?”
“You can?”
“Yeah.”
With her head still dizzy, Hannah Johnson didn’t bother with him and watched the small brown dog fuss around in the kitchen for a while; Fanta then lay on her legs, staring intently at the strange man in the kitchen.
When he had cooked so Orange Peel Water and brought it out, he found Hannah Johnson had already fallen asleep.
She was lying sideways on the sofa, still holding the chubby orange cat in her arms, while the man stood by the sofa, staring at her for a long ti.
Then,
he reached out and scooped Fanta out of her arms.
Fanta protested, trying to escape, but was frightened by the man’s cold glare.
Subsequently, he was thrown back into his own bed.
Fanta was nearly furious.
This was his ho, and what was this wild dog that had appeared out of nowhere thinking, daring to throw him around?
His tail went up, ready for battle.
But then…
A Catnip Ball appeared before him.
He glanced at the man, then at the Catnip, hesitated, but still took a lick.
Ah—
That flavor,
was sowhat intoxicating!
Fanta clung to the Catnip Ball and madly inhaled it, completely forgetting that his owner was still lying on the sofa.
In her own ho, the familiar scent made Hannah Johnson lower her guard, completely unaware of soone approaching; he bent his knee, kneeling by the sofa, and stared at her for a long while.
His breath was hot, falling on her face…
Like a wildfire on the plains, too hot.
Hannah Johnson felt sowhat uncomfortable, anxiously shifting her body.
Her hair covered her face, he reached out, gently swept her hair aside, and Hannah Johnson’s body was burning hot while his fingertips carried a slight coolness. The combination of hot and cold made her involuntarily murmur softly.
Her delicate complaint was lodious, almost as if she was seducing him…
He watched until his throat tightened,
“You brought back here, whatever happens, you should be prepared.”
The next second,
he had leaned down, pressing down on the softness that was so close at hand.
Every sense in his body seed to coalesce, that bit of warmth tingling all the way to his heart.
Her lips,
were hot, were soft.
His breathing grew heavier…
So things, once started, are hard to stop.
He knelt by the sofa,
devout, yet serious.
Struggling with the desires rising from deep within him, he reached out, lifted her from the sofa, and headed straight for the master bedroom!
——
The next day
Hannah Johnson was awakened by the doorbell, and before she had ti to answer, her phone began to vibrate. It was William Hale calling, her head aching, she picked up and groaned, “What is it?”
“Are you ho?”
“Yes.”
“Then I’m coming in.”
“Okay.”
Hannah Johnson hung up the phone and then tossed it aside.
Seconds later, she suddenly rembered the small brown dog, sprang up from the bed, fearing her cousin would see it, which would have been embarrassing.
Although William Hale was her cousin, he could be as serious as her brother when he wanted to be.
Hannah Johnson made sure her clothes were neat and ran out of the bedroom, barefoot.
By then, William Hale had already entered the house, examining her, his gaze landing on her bare feet. “In such a rush to greet that you didn’t even put on your shoes?”
“Why did you suddenly co over!”
“Weren’t you supposed to et Zoe at our place for breakfast this morning? She specially made osmanthus cake, but since you didn’t reply to ssages or answer calls, she got worried and asked to check on you.”
“I forgot.”
Hannah Johnson looked around,
He made sure the little brown puppy had left.
Only then did he feel sowhat relieved.
“Did you make the al?” William noticed the anomaly here.
Hannah Johnson could cook, but she hardly ever made breakfast.
Usually, she would just have so coffee, a bit of bread to tide her over, but now the dining table was set with clear porridge, a plate of stead dumplings, and two small dishes.
And her cousin’s state clearly indicated she had just crawled out of bed.
The most crucial aspect was:
She looked very flustered.
“Sis, what bad thing have you done?”
William placed the osmanthus cake on the table, facing a hostile Fanta. He had to work and initially didn’t want to stay long, but now he didn’t plan to leave.
He glanced around the living room, strolled through the kitchen…
Good!
No one!
So where did this breakfast co from?
“What could I possibly do?” Hannah laughed offhandedly, turned around to wash up, avoiding soone’s scrutinizing gaze.
Thank goodness the puppy left!
If this cousin caught him, he would definitely be dood.
“Who made the breakfast?”
“Oh, I hired a cook,” Hannah, looking for a hair tie and realizing her usual one was missing, grabbed a shark clip to secure her hair first, “Grandma said I don’t eat regularly, so I specifically looked for soone to cook.”
“Is that so?”
William felt sothing was off but couldn’t pinpoint it.
“Have you eaten yet? Do you want to join ?”
“No need.”
Hannah washed up quickly, adjusted her mood, and ca out of the bedroom, “You got work? Then you better hurry, don’t be late.”
“I’m the boss, it doesn’t matter if I’m late.”
“…”
Hannah gritted her teeth.
Normally, he wouldn’t agree to stay here.
But today was unusual.
William tilted his head, sizing her up; he always felt his cousin was off today. He clearly had made plans with Zoe to freeload a al, but out of the blue, he’s hiring a cook? It felt eerily strange.
“Has he contacted you recently?” William asked about Liam Hugh.
Hannah drank so warm water, tasted the osmanthus cake, and then sat down at the dining table to eat.
Was it the little brown puppy who did this?
He has that skill?
Good-looking and so capable too.
If William caught her lying with a strange man.
The roof would explode!
That puppy, turning instantly into a dead dog.
“No, I blocked him a long ti ago,” Hannah answered William.
“I heard he’s been asking around for work; he’s used to living in luxury and can’t really do much.”
“What do you an, can’t do much? Nowadays, as long as you’re willing to endure hardships, you can make money. At worst, he can find a job washing dishes or serving tables; he just doesn’t want to endure hardships,” Hannah comnted.
William nodded, “I guess it won’t be long before he can’t hold out anymore; if he survives, that woman will likely cause trouble. Be careful.”
“I know.”
“Then I’m leaving.”
“Off you go then.”
Before William left, he glanced at her again,” Sis.”
“Hmm?”
“This cook of yours starts quite early, probably before it’s even light out.”
“…”
After William left, Hannah finally breathed a sigh of relief and slumped into the chair.
That scared her to death!
She was certain nothing happened between her and the little brown puppy last night. It seems he wasn’t the type to take advantage during a vulnerable mont, and nothing seed to be missing at ho. He even took out the trash after cooking.
Even fed the cat.
Gave Fanta water and even scooped the litter box.
The key point is he was quite considerate.
If anyone knew her identity, many would clamor to the Hugh Family, harassing her relentlessly.
He just left like that.
Too bad, he didn’t leave any contact information.
