Chapter 165: 165 Bringing a Puppy Ho, Mr. Hale’s Future Brother-in-Law? Chapter 165: 165 Bringing a Puppy Ho, Mr. Hale’s Future Brother-in-Law? The light was dim, and the eyes of the little brown dog were clear and bright, gentle and well-behaved, and harmless to humans and animals. Who could resist when such a beautiful little dog stared straight, moistly at you?

Hannah’s mind was a whirl of thoughts.

She tried to control her emotions, “Aren’t you afraid I might be a bad person?”

“You’re not,” he replied.

“Why?”

“Because you are beautiful.”

“…”

Hannah laughed out loud, still so naive; because I’m pretty ans I’m not bad?

Her legs felt a bit weak from laughing, and she leaned loosely against the wall.

Those foxy eyes were red from the alcohol, quite alluring.

The man in front of her seed a bit dazed. Straightening up, Hannah seized the mont while he was lost in thought, grabbed her bag, and patted his shoulder, “Don’t be so naive. You should ask around, I am very bad.”

“Thanks for tonight, see you,” she said.

“Wait a second.” The man called after her.

“Hmm?”

“Next ti we et, will you treat to a al?”

Hannah nodded with a smile.

She headed to the parking lot, couldn’t find a designated driver, and directly called Kyle Lowe.

Kyle was speechless. She really must think of him as her personal driver, he thought resentfully. Still, they arrived at the hotel. There was a speed limit around the hotel, so the car moved slowly. Hannah rolled down the window to let the cool breeze in, dispelling the heat from the alcohol.

“You seem to have drunk a lot tonight,” Kyle remarked through the rearview mirror.

Hannah tilted her head, “Kyle, do you think I could keep a dog?”

“A dog?”

Kyle was perplexed, “As long as you wish, you can keep anything.”

Hannah inexplicably began to regret.

How good it would have been if she had taken that little brown dog ho earlier.

It had a pleasant voice and was good-looking, a joy to have at ho.

Next ti, then,

If it’s really ant to be, they would et again.

At that mont, the car slowed to a stop, and Hannah’s gaze wandered aimlessly…

She froze instantly.

The little brown dog was standing by the roadside, seemingly waiting for a ride.

Their gazes t in that instant,

He seed to freeze too.

Then he gave her a smile.

It was warm, brilliant, and as the wind filled his clothes, his soul seed to mix with the light.

He stared at her intently, making Hannah’s heartbeat lose its rhythm.

His gaze seed to say:

We et again.

Kyle, unaware of their acquaintance, simply drove past and left…

Hannah, through the rearview mirror, saw the smile fade from the puppy’s face, but its gaze still tightly followed the direction her car was heading.

That look, as if he was accusing her of abandoning him.

A few hundred ters later, Hannah bit her lip, “Kyle, turn around and go back.”

“Did you leave sothing at the hotel?” Kyle asked.

“Yeah.”

Kyle was about to drive straight back to the hotel but was stopped halfway when Hannah spotted a man by the roadside and waved him over, “Get in.”

Kyle was flabbergasted.

Was this what she had left behind?

It was clearly a living man!

And a man,

Tall, with fair skin, and very delicately handso features. One could even say he was very good-looking.

Was this Cousin Miss’s…

New love interest?

Where did he co from?

“Which school are you from? I’ll take you back,” Hannah asked, resting her cheek on her hand as she looked at the person beside her.

“It’s too late, the dormitory has a curfew, I can’t go back now,” he replied.

“What should we do then?”

The little brown dog didn’t speak, just stared straight at her.

Not only Hannah,

But Kyle as well finally understood:

This was clearly wanting to go ho with Hannah!

Kyle Lowe was flabbergasted.

“Who exactly is this man that suddenly appears?”

“Do you know who the person before you is?”

Hannah Johnson had always been bold, and she had thought to herself before that if they t again, she was definitely bringing him ho.

So…

She tilted her head and said, “So, do you want to co with ?”

He didn’t speak, but his eyes clearly showed he wanted to.

Kyle Lowe almost slamd on the brakes.

What part of the plot had he missed?

At that mont, Hannah Johnson suddenly turned to him, “Kyle Lowe.”

“Hmm?”

“You know what you should and shouldn’t say to William when you see him again, right?”

“I understand.”

This matter was such that even if he wanted to say it, he didn’t know how to start:

Should he say that Cousin Miss brought ho a man she picked up on the roadside to stay overnight?

Hannah Johnson was an adult; she was bound to have her own private life.

When their car arrived at Yarden, Hannah Johnson directly led the man into the house. The sudden arrival of a strange man in the territory woke up Fanta, who was in a deep sleep, and she began owing.

The man obviously got startled by the sudden cat calls.

“Scared of cats?”

“Not afraid.”

“She’s called Fanta; she’s mine.”

Hannah Johnson casually tossed her bag aside and bent down to change her shoes when she stumbled and nearly fell.

The next second,

she felt lighter as the brown-haired dog behind her bent down and lifted her up. He looked quite slim, but he held her effortlessly, his arm going around her waist and another under her legs.

He set her on a shoe cabinet that was less than a ter tall next to them.

Bending down, he took off her high heels.

His hands were warm as he held her feet,

picked up her slippers, and helped her put them on.

Hannah Johnson stared down at him, his actions gentle and ticulous, so considerate.

Her mind was muddled, and even though she had drunk alcohol, she was sober, watching him neatly place her shoes and then look up at her, his gaze directly eting her brown eyes…

Uncannily, Hannah Johnson felt a sense of invasion and danger.

Her heartbeat began to speed up.

In this day and age, there were no true fools. Late at night, man and woman together, it seed sothing was always bound to happen.

Under her gaze, the brown-haired dog straightened up, his hands braced on the cabinet, easily trapping her in front of him. Hannah Johnson’s body was soft, and her breath fell on his face.

It was provocation,

and a form of disguised seduction.

“Do you often bring people back here?” his voice was warm and exceptionally pleasant.

“Aside from relatives and friends, you’re the first,”

“Don’t have a boyfriend?”

“Does work count?”

Hannah Johnson watched him drawing closer and closer, her heartbeat inexplicably quickening. Despite the alcohol fuzzing her brain and her boldness, she felt sowhat nervous, her fingers tightening unconsciously on the edge of the cabinet.

The room was dim, moonlight streaming through the window filling the room.

Drifting up and down,

Fanta closely watched the two of them, observing their shadows rging together.

At this ti, Kyle Lowe, who had been waiting downstairs, suddenly received a call from William Hale asking him for a favor to deliver so docunts.

“Just take the two docunts on the desk, send them to the rchant.”

William Hale was still looking down, dealing with his work, not looking at him, until he noticed he hadn’t moved for a while, then lazily lifting his eyelids, darting him a glance, “Is there sothing wrong?”

“I just went to pick up Cousin Miss.”

“Did she arrange sothing for you to do?”

“Nothing.”

William Hale put down the pen in his hand, looked at him intently, but Kyle Lowe then hugged the docunts and rushed off rapidly, almost running, causing Zoe Bell, who was binge-watching dramas in the living room, to involuntarily glance sideways and walk into the study, “What’s with him?”

“Don’t know, maybe he’s upset about being assigned work at midnight.”

Kyle Lowe wanted to say sothing but didn’t know how to begin.

Hannah Johnson wasn’t the type to act rashly, and he hadn’t figured out the exact nature of her relationship with that man.

If this was his boss’s future brother-in-law…

His boss would storm over there,

Offending him rashly and taking him to task later in the fall would be the end of him as the informant.
