Tu Hengsha realized he had recently picked up a new catchphrase: listen.

Be good, listen, don’t wander off;

Be good, you can’t eat too much at once, listen;

You’ll look beautiful once it’s clean, don’t move around, listen;

You can’t chew on Grandma’s things, understand? Listen...

But that was for Bangbangtang! When he suddenly said this to her, it made her shudder as if she’d been electrocuted, staring at him like she was watching a horror movie, wondering if he’d been possessed.

He frowned at her, "What kind of nonsense are you up to now?"

She stamred, "No... Mr. Su... I think I might have masochistic tendencies, and I’m more suited to you giving the cold shoulder or ignoring ..." Lines like "listen" should be left for Bangbangtang or Su Rongxing...

He instantly changed his expression, clamped his lips shut, and said no more.

Tu Hengsha slowly breathed a sigh of relief, finally feeling normal—indeed, she suited this just fine...

They arrived in Jin County in the dead of night. Despite only being able to lean against the car window, Tu Hengsha slept soundly with a gentle scent of green grass in the air, until her face started to sting, and she was forcibly woken up by soone patting her.

She opened her eyes to see Su Ronggui holding a folder in his hand. No doubt, he’d used it to smack her face just now!

"Get out of the car!" He had a stiff look on his face, jamd the folder into his laptop bag, grabbed his equipnt, and left.

She was stunned for a mont, then jumped up and followed him out of the car, feeling an urge to talk with Mr. Su: Mr. Su, although I might have masochistic tendencies, that doesn’t an I enjoy violence!

Mr. Su strictly adhered to the cold-shouldered principle she requested, his long legs leaving her a ter behind as he led her into the hotel.

While booking their stay, a man and woman were ahead of them in line. The man was handling the paperwork, while the woman kept her head down. Her skin was slightly dark, and she wore an off-the-shoulder pink dress, which was a bit too tight and didn’t quite fit.

"Over here." The other attendant at the front desk said.

This was directed at her and Su Ronggui.

So Tu Hengsha handed her ID to Su Ronggui, letting him handle it together.

The attendant was efficient and didn’t ask any questions. In no ti, the check-in was done, "The room is on the third floor, here’s the key card."

It was only then that Tu Hengsha realized they had only been given one key card...

"No, we need two rooms," Tu Hengsha quickly said.

"There aren’t two rooms on the sa floor." The attendant replied.

"No worries, no worries..." Tu Hengsha took the key card from the attendant’s hand, "You open another room."

The room for the couple next to them was ready too. After getting the key card, the man said nothing, and the woman silently followed behind him.

Once Su Ronggui had his key card, the four of them were almost simultaneously waiting for the elevator, while the woman kept her head down.

As it happened, that couple’s floor was the sa as Tu Hengsha’s. When the elevator arrived, the woman finally lifted her head, and Tu Hengsha, for the first ti, got a clear view of her face. She was average looking, with makeup that was conspicuous for its amateurish application. Frankly, she might have looked better without it.

She only glanced once, since staring was rude. Once the couple left the elevator, she waved to Su Ronggui, "Mr. Su, let’s rest first. Good night."

She followed the couple down the hallway, watching them enter a room, and realized her room was right next door.

So she entered her room, intending to take a shower and rest.

However, after she finished her shower, strange noises ca from the next room. Unmarried as she was, after listening for a while she finally understood what the noise was and couldn’t help but secretly resent the hotel’s awful soundproofing...
