"Over twenty years ago, did you believe what they said? That I really hired soone to assault June Kane, and to protect , you agreed to marry her."
Claire Sullivan’s words were half right, the other half was guessed wrong.
"No, I believe you!"
Simon Sterling turned around, looked at Claire Sullivan seriously, "You had no reason to harm June Kane."
In his mind, even if June Kane was the eldest daughter of The Ford Family, what did that matter!
He wanted to marry Claire Sullivan.
"Then why can’t you clear my na!"
Claire Sullivan questioned loudly.
"Claire, soone tampered with your phone!"
Simon Sterling frowned and said, Claire Sullivan was taken aback, of course, she knew about it.
She could be convicted because the evidence was conclusive.
And the evidence was her phone — it was she who sent the ssage to June Kane, asking June to go to that room, and it was she who transferred money to the man who assaulted June Kane.
That man insisted afterward that it was Claire Sullivan who instructed him.
"I never sent that kind of ssage to June Kane!"
Claire Sullivan said sternly.
Who knows why there was such a ssage on her phone or why there were transfer records.
"Because soone tampered with your phone."
Simon Sterling said, "And who this person is, Claire, do you have an answer in your heart?"
"No!"
Claire Sullivan replied imdiately, "I don’t know."
"Nor can I be convicted just because of this ssage."
Simon Sterling smiled slightly, "The man who attacked June Kane is adamant it was you; it’s not hard to imagine that The Ford Family is behind this, making him confess."
"Or maybe June Kane herself hired soone to do this, then frad !"
"It’s not impossible!"
Simon Sterling agreed, he had long suspected that June Kane arranged it herself.
However, it’s impossible that only June Kane was behind designing a trap for Claire Sullivan.
There are others, hidden in the shadows, who have not yet shown themselves.
"But, there’s also a witness!"
A witness!
Claire Sullivan was shocked, brought out by Simon Sterling because he didn’t want her and their unborn child, she heartbrokenly returned to Solaria.
Here, she refused to talk even when the elders of the Sullivan family questioned her.
In fact, her silence didn’t an they didn’t know.
Later, she focused on her career and didn’t want to deal with past issues, just wanted to bury her past in the Imperial Capital in the dust.
"Who is it?"
She asked.
"Your college best friend."
When Simon Sterling ntioned "best friend," Claire Sullivan’s face changed and imdiately thought of soone.
"Wendy Monroe!"
How could this be? Today, she had heard Wendy Monroe’s na from both Serena and Simon Sterling.
"I went to look for her, but couldn’t find any trace of her."
"She must have been hidden by soone."
This "soone," Simon Sterling guessed, was The Ford Family.
"Not long after, she appeared, claiming to be pregnant with a Ford Family child, and after giving birth to Wayne Jennings, she beca Mrs. Kane."
"Trying to ask her about your matter, it’s impossible to get anything out."
Over the years, Simon Sterling was not intimidated by anyone, not even The Old Master Kane.
After The Old Master Kane died, he didn’t take The Dowager Kane seriously.
And Mrs. Kane, being very low-key in front of The Ford Family mbers, drew Simon Sterling’s attention.
"Mr. Kane doesn’t handle affairs; in fact, he was long kicked out of The Ford Family’s ga."
The Ford Family once created a huge ss in the company, and the board of directors of the Kane Group didn’t accept him. During The Old Master Kane’s ti, he openly stated the Kane Group couldn’t be left to him.
