Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud Chapter 145: Maybe I’m Just Healing
redith also seed unsure, "I haven’t heard anything about the reason, maybe there’s so personal grudge?"
"Henry Hughes doesn’t seem like the kind of person who’d hit soone over a minor issue, and Julian Fairchild isn’t that kind of person either." Maeve Lane leaned back on her chair, her tone casual, "I’m really a bit curious."
redith looked at her eyes and said, "Weren’t you into Julian Fairchild before? Why are you now talking all about Henry Hughes?"
Maeve Lane replied, "Because he’s my friend. You can have many boyfriends, but good friends are rare, and it’s hard to find soone who suits my taste."
redith pursed her lips, "I really feel a bit sorry for Julian Fairchild."
"Why?" Maeve Lane was puzzled, "redith, why are you siding with him? Look at how people are talking about outside!"
redith rolled her eyes and said, "Seeing how calm you are, you don’t look affected at all. They’re saying you were rejected and whatnot, but I don’t think you’re upset."
"I even feel like you’re a bit happier after you stopped chasing Julian Fairchild, like you’ve let yourself go?" redith thought for a while, using a phrase that seed to match Maeve Lane’s current state.
Maeve Lane laughed a bit, "Not bad."
Though indeed, she was a bit happier, Julian Fairchild likes obedient ones, so she needed to restrain herself a bit.
"If you don’t like him, why did you chase him?" redith sighed for Julian Fairchild, her voice small like a mumble to herself, "I think only three kinds of people in this world wouldn’t fall for you."
Maeve Lane was curious, "Which three kinds of people?"
"First, n who like n. Second, n who have soone they deeply love, and third, blind n."
Maeve Lane couldn’t help but chuckle, "You’re quite confident about , huh?"
"Of course." redith said, "So which do you think Julian Fairchild is? Does he like n, or does he have soone he loves, or is he blind? None of them, right?"
Maeve Lane didn’t refute.
redith noticed sothing, "Hey Maeve, could it be that... you rejected Julian Fairchild?"
Maeve Lane lazily lifted her gaze.
Back then in that small garden, she indeed sensed sothing.
She liked to have fun, but she didn’t have the nasty habit of playing with people’s true feelings.
So, everyone who dated her, she would keep within a ti limit, and within that limit, if anyone developed true feelings, it would be against the rules.
She wouldn’t let them fall any deeper.
Have to say, Julian Fairchild controlled his emotions very well, which once made her doubt.
So much so that when she noticed, the emotions in his eyes seed a bit too hard to hide.
So it ended there.
"I knew it." redith saw the expression on Maeve Lane’s face and instantly understood, sighing dramatically, "Fairchild is such a poor guy. What are you after? If it’s looks, none of the boyfriends you find are better-looking than you. If it’s money, you don’t seem to need that either?"
A hint of gloom flickered in Maeve Lane’s eyes before she jokingly said, "Will you believe if I say I have depression?"
"Who are you trying to fool?" redith laughed, "And even if you have depression, what’s that got to do with dating boyfriends?"
She carelessly curled her lips and said, "Maybe I’m just treating my illness."
"Hahaha, the way you say it, dating can cure illness?" redith laughed out loud a few tis and said, "If that’s the case, I’ll quickly go get sick!"
