Upon hearing her mother’s words, Jin Miaomiao thought she had a point, "I have his contact info. I’ll give him a call later to see if he’s willing."
"Call him now. If he’s not willing, I can start arranging the next candidate for you."
"It’s better to discuss this over a al, a phone call would be too abrupt."
Madam Jin agreed, "Alright then, but you must tell the outco as soon as possible."

Five o’clock in the afternoon.
Gu Xichen arrived on ti at the coffee shop beneath his office building for the eting.
He had no idea what Jin Miaomiao wanted to discuss with him.
Their only connection was so business dealings.
They weren’t well-acquainted.
The two shook hands and took their seats.
"May I know the reason President Jin has asked to et with ?"
"Does President Gu have any prospects for marriage?"
Gu Xichen was taken aback, not expecting her to ask this, "No."
"What do you think about a marriage alliance between us?"
The mont Jin Miaomiao said this, Jingsheng subconsciously looked at the man beside him.
Gu Xichen, unfazed, asked, "What kind of marriage alliance is President Jin considering?"
"A real and recognized marriage alliance," she emphasized. "Not a sham marriage just for show."
Her words couldn’t have been clearer.
Gu Xichen was well aware of what a marriage alliance entailed and he knew all too well who Jin Miaomiao was.
"What if I never love you for the rest of my life?"
"I’m not sure I could ever fall in love with you either," Jin Miaomiao told him plainly. "Consider it and take your ti to weigh the pros and cons of marrying before you give an answer."
She lowered her head and elegantly sipped her coffee.
"Three days. I’ll give you an answer in three days."
"Okay, let’s leave it at that."
After Jin Miaomiao left, Jingsheng sat huffing and puffing in the seat she had just vacated, "Are you seriously considering accepting this marriage alliance?! Gu Xichen, have you gone mad?!"
"Why are you getting so worked up?"
"Is it really possible to marry soone else when you’re in love with soone? I know you’re well aware that it’s impossible with the Master, but you can’t just choose any rich girl from a prestigious family for a marriage alliance." Jingsheng was almost fuming, "You already have enough money, how much more do you want? I know that it’s powerful when wealthy families unite, but is it really just fa and wealth you want?"
"I’m considering it. I haven’t agreed to anything yet," Gu Xichen then said, "If I’m destined to marry a woman I do not love, why not choose one that could bring more benefits?"
Jingsheng looked at him, "Who says one’s life is destined to marry or be married off? If you lack an heir, can’t you find another way to have one? I thought you would outright reject this ludicrous suggestion, but to my surprise, you hesitated, you’re considering it, which ans there’s at least a fifty percent chance you’re swayed in your heart."
"This is my business, can you refrain from ddling?"
Jingsheng showed a look of disappointnt, stood up, and ran off.
