When Fu Shinian walked in, Auntie Lin was just supporting Su Mu as she turned away from the window.

"With one foot disabled, you still have the heart to watch the excitent?"

Su Mu didn’t make a sound. She hadn’t intended to witness Fu Shiyue’s embarrassnt but couldn’t help wanting to see Fu Shinian when she heard from Auntie Lin that he was back. Little did she know, she would encounter his rciless side towards Fu Shiyue.

"Pack up your things. We’re going back to Bishui Yuntian soon."

"Are we leaving tonight?"

"If you want to continue staying at the old house, I don’t mind. Grandma would probably be happy, but I’m leaving."

——

From the garden, Fu Shiyue watched Su Mu’s figure disappear from the window, the hatred in her eyes not fading in the slightest. If Fu Shinian weren’t by her side right now, she truly would have found it unbearable not to go up there and kill her.

It must have been her! She must have said sothing to Fu Shinian, otherwise he wouldn’t have sent her abroad so heartlessly, nor would he have dealt such a heavy blow on such an important day for herself.

How could she hold her head up high in front of those people in the future?

Fu Shiyue wasn’t oblivious to their ulterior motives in getting close to her, but she enjoyed the feeling. She never really took them as friends, just as a pasti to while away the ti; however, people she once deed beneath her now avoided her like the plague. Fu Shinian’s move was quite clever indeed—it allowed her to see them for the two-faced people they really were!

Qin Nianwan had stayed the whole ti, and now she patted Fu Shiyue’s shoulder in a comforting gesture:

"Maybe your brother said that in a fit of anger. Don’t take it to heart. When he’s in a better mood, you should have a proper talk with him. You’re his only sister, how could he truly bear to send you abroad?"

"Sister?" Fu Shiyue scoffed with a laugh. "After being treated like this by him today, how am I still his sister? I’m more like a joke in his eyes."

Qin Nianwan fell silent for a few seconds, then looked up at the second floor before wrapping her arms around Fu Shiyue’s shoulders and leading her to a nearby bench to sit down:

"Before I went abroad, Shinian obviously doted on you a lot, you were always the first person he thought of for anything good, no one could bully you. I have no idea what happened now that there’s been such a big change in such a short ti."

Qin Nianwan’s words inevitably made Fu Shiyue think of Su Mu again.

Yes, before Su Mu married into the Fu family, Fu Shiyue was the most beloved sister of Fu Shinian. Sotis even Qin Nianwan couldn’t compare to her. He was like the kind of brother on the internet that made countless people envious, so good to her that she felt like the happiest person in the world.

But ever since Su Mu married into the Fu family, everything had changed. Initially, Fu Shiyue never took her seriously, thinking she would leave sooner or later, and that her brother would never be interested in her, but in the end, she had underestimated her. If it weren’t for Su Mu, how could Fu Shinian have treated her like this?

"It’s Su Mu." Fu Shiyue said hatefully. "It must have been her saying sothing to my brother, otherwise, he would never treat like this."

"That’s impossible, right? Although you and Su Mu have always had a rocky relationship, there’s no conflict of interest. Why would she sche against you?" Qin Nianwan looked at Fu Shiyue with sympathy: "Yueyue, could you have misunderstood? I don’t think Su Mu is that kind of person."

"There’s no chance I’m mistaken! She’s always been like this! She’s calculating and deep, otherwise, how could she have driven you away from my brother’s side and ascended to beco Mrs. Fu?" Fu Shiyue fell silent for a few seconds: "She’s already Mrs. Fu, but that’s still not enough. It looks like she wants to remove obstacles in the Fu family one by one to take charge. Now I realize why she hasn’t been sucking up to like a poodle recently, it turns out she’s planning to drive out!"

Qin Nianwan didn’t say anything more; the desired effect had been achieved.

"I will never let her have an easy ti!"

——

On the way back to Bishui Yuntian, Song Yi was driving the car with things the old lady had asked to be brought back, and he left with Auntie Lin, while Fu Shinian carried Su Mu onto the driver’s seat of his own car and fastened her seatbelt for her. This made Su Mu a bit uncomfortable, but thinking it was just his whim, she didn’t pay it much attention.

The ride was silent, and as Su Mu gazed at the nightti scenery outside the window, she rembered the events from the birthday banquet and couldn’t help but speak up:

"You’re really going to send Shiyue to England?"

Fu Shinian, driving with one hand, glanced at her upon hearing this: "What? You can’t bear to let her go?"

Su Mu smiled:

"I’m worried Grandma can’t bear it."

The old house was already desolate and quiet. Although Fu Shiyue also had her own place outside and didn’t co back often, she always spent weekends with Grandma, which cheered her up. While Fu Shiyue was not very kind to Su Mu, she did manage to keep Grandma quite happy. Su Mu was concerned that without Fu Shiyue, Grandma would be lonelier.

"I’ve already spoken with the old lady about this before doing it. She didn’t object and also thinks Shiyue should go out and gain so experience."

Since Fu Shinian had said so, Su Mu didn’t feel it was her place to say more. Privately, she felt that Fu Shiyue’s departure was only beneficial to her and not detrintal, but what Su Mu didn’t understand was why Fu Shinian was so determined to send her away.

Back at ho, Su Mu was carried by Fu Shinian to the sofa in the living room. He and Song Yi stood at the door talking about so official matters. After Song Yi repeated the schedule for the next morning, he left. Only then did Su Mu realize that the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday was ending, which ant, according to her agreent with Wen Han, she was supposed to start teaching Wen Shaoyuan tomorrow.

However, Su Mu’s foot probably won’t allow her to walk normally, so going to teach would be difficult. Regardless, she felt she should inform Wen Han in advance. But since her foot had been hit by Fu Shiyue’s car, Su Mu hadn’t seen her phone again.

Fu Shinian walked in and saw the anxious look on her face, prompting him to speak:

"Did you grow fur on your body?"

Su Mu looked at him, "Did you get my phone back for ?"

Fu Shinian was taken aback; he hadn’t really taken it seriously, but now that she was back, where could he find the phone? However, it was strange because since Su Mu got injured, she had never left the old house. Auntie Wang should have found the phone when cleaning the room and definitely would have returned it to Su Mu, but two days had passed, and Su Mu still hadn’t seen her phone.

It seed unnecessary to go back and look for it.

"I didn’t find it, you can use mine for now," he said, handing over his phone.

This ti, it was Su Mu who was startled and did not take it.

The two of them had never gone through each other’s phones. They had no emotional foundation and each controlled that boundary, which was one thing, but neither she nor Fu Shinian was the type with strong controlling desires. Even with deep affection, they would give each other personal space, so they had never exchanged such private items like phones, let alone Fu Shinian offering it to her voluntarily.

"What’s the matter? Don’t you want to make a call?"

Hearing this, Su Mu snapped back to reality and unintentionally spoke what was on her mind:

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll go through your private stuff?"

Fu Shinian scoffed lightly, completely unconcerned:

"If you want to upset yourself, then go ahead and check. Inside there are intimate photos of with various won, and chat records. Do you want to see?"

"I’ll just use the landline to make the call."

Fu Shinian didn’t insist and simply went upstairs.

Su Mu sat in the living room making a phone call, but she couldn’t rember Wen Han’s cell phone number, so she could only call Jiang Bei, shared her situation with Jiang Bei, refused her kind offer to visit her, and hoped she could convey her apologies to Wen Han.

After chatting on the phone with Jiang Bei for more than half an hour, she hung up and thought about getting up and going upstairs, but Fu Shinian had already gone up, and Auntie Lin was busy putting things away; no one ca to help her. Su Mu wasn’t upset, thinking that having rested for two days, she should have improved sowhat, and decided to go up by herself.

Although it was still very painful, she could at least touch the ground a little bit now. With just another support, she could walk quite smoothly, and Su Mu slowly made her way to the staircase, occasionally limping, occasionally hopping a few steps.

Perhaps because she hadn’t walked for two days, even the short distance made her feel a sense of achievent at that mont, but all pride and self-satisfaction disappeared the mont she looked up and saw the person standing at the top of the stairs on the second floor.

With his hands in his pockets and a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, he said:

"Su Mu, I think you twisted your ankle on purpose, didn’t you? So you wouldn’t have to go out to work?"

"...You’re thinking too much."

"Am I? Seeing how you don’t take good care of yourself, moving so aggressively right after you got a bit better, I thought you were trying to fall and make your foot injury worse."

Su Mu: "I can’t wait to get better right now."

"To go take care of other n’s children?"

Su Mu looked at him discontentedly:

"That’s tutoring, it’s work. Why does it sound so unpleasant coming out of your mouth?"

Fu Shinian huffed lightly and said nothing more, but his facial expression told Su Mu that he was irked by both her job and her rebuttal to him just now!

For the past few days, it had been Fu Shinian who took care of Su Mu’s pre-bedti grooming. Initially, she really wasn’t used to it and even resisted, but she wasn’t about to stop bathing or ask Auntie Wang to help her instead, so she endured. Luckily, Fu Shinian had not done anything inappropriate, and she gradually let her guard down.

So tonight, when Fu Shinian directly carried her to the bathroom, she didn’t resist and let him attend to her like a child. She had thought he would be as proper as before, but gradually, Su Mu felt even the air around them beco charged with ambiguity.

She turned around in astonishnt to look at him, and he also looked up at her with a heavy gaze:

"Su Mu, what do you an by that look? Do you really think that I, like a monk, have no desire whatsoever for your naked body?"

"But..."

Su Mu wanted to say sothing, and Fu Shinian knew it all too well. He also thought about the last ti she almost vomited on him, his brows furrowing slightly:

"Can’t accept it yet?"
