Sitting behind a large ornate desk was the sa elf who ca to the shop, purchasing the automatic flipping cat toy. Relaxed, his lazy smile perated the room. Yet hidden deep in his eyes were a seasoned rchant's expressions: greed, skepticism, and a hint of burning curiosity.

"I have been following your progress across the last couple of days, especially when you tried your best to gain funds for your... 'little' project of yours..."

Simon's ears perked up. " You know what it is?" Duncan rely shook his head. "Nope, not enough ti to investigate. But I would like to listen to it, and ponder why the other rchant associations rejected it. Toy may begin..."

Hands spread apart, Duncan asked Simon to begin his presentation. Hope rising, Simon brought his board in. "Well, my project aims to propel the people of the planet to outer space. The main goal is, of course, the Moon..."

As he continued presenting, Duncan could not help but gaze at the young dwarf, passion illuminating his entire visage, glorifying the dwarf.

Yet he shook his head.

"Stop, stop, stop. While I do agree that this plan has enormous potential and can generate a lot of money for us, I would still decline to invest in it. Why? Because it's just a dream. Yes, a dream..."

He stood up from his chair, turning the window behind him. "Mankind, Elvenkind, Dwarvenkind, Aviatrixkin... everyone had dreams to go above, to touch the strategy with their bare hands, to conquer the unknown. Yet why hasn't anyone done it? It's because it's impossible. The only reason I entertained you is because of your skills."

Duncan turned towards Simon once again, but this ti, his eyes burned brighter than before. "I'm quite intrigued, and very interested, in your skills. Your inventions, such as the automatic ignitor, make life so much easier for everyone, especially in dungeons. I see a humongous potential in it, sonwhat do you say? Are you ready to abandon this foolish dream of yours, and join us in this venture?"

Expecting hesitation, he was shocked by what the dwarf did next.

Anger igniting across his face, his fave turned bright red. "How dare you dean my dream! Sir, while I do say that what you say makes sense, I will not abandok my drama for so... paltry copper, so screw off, you–you–you snobbish cunt of an elf!"

He turned a4ound and stomped off, naging the door hard in his way out.

All that was left was a very shocked elf, paralysed at the sudden outburst.

After a great day in the fields, Lewis had finally managed to gain enough credits to go up a rank.

He is know a veritable stone rank, a tank higher than those flimsy wooden ones.

Carrying a bottle of beer into the house, he was shocked to see a very sad dwarf, wailing in the corner. Concerned, he imdiately dashed to the dwarf wanting to kn9w what happened.

Feeling a hand on his shoulders, Simon lifted his head. Seeing that it was Lewis, he burst into a new round of tears. Before Lewis could ask what happened, Simon began regurgitating what happened today.

After listening, the first thing he did was not to comfort Simon, but slap him really hard, multiple tis at that.

"We might not have investors, but cant we have the people pitch in for us instead!?"
