It hadn’t taken long for every Ogre of the Tribe to gather around Jason and Vel. Narjis and Doro quickly joined them.

While Narjis explained her choices as to which female Ogres should remain to protect the village and train the males,

Gulp-

’A-Am I supposed to go in there?’ A timid Catgirl thought, peeking her head through the tent’s curtains. ’I should have gotten up earlier! How am I supposed to walk through the whole crowd to reach Jason?!’

The obvious difference in tones only made it more difficult.

’I’ll stick out like a sore thumb! How do I make my way through? Should I just wait for him to be done with them?’ Calia asked herself as she turned towards the inside of the tent. ’Yes... Maybe I should just wait...’

The Catgirl peeked once more and,

’Is that... Is that Vel standing next to him?’ She gulped. ’I should go... Yeah, I should go...’

Calia wasn’t too sure why, but seeing Vel with Jason made her feel like she needed to be there.

’W-What should I be worried about anyway? I’m their Chief’s... Their Chief’s...’ The Catgirl imdiately felt an imnse amount of pressure. ’What do I say if they ask who I am? Their Chief’s... What? Saying that I’m his woman would be a bit presumptuous, right?’ Calia quickly shook her head. ’I’m their Chief’s woman, and that’s that! I have no reason to feel shy or embarrassed by anything!’

With that thought, Calia stepped out of the tent.

Her steps were slow, deliberate, and incredibly awkward as she approached the crowd.

’Keep walking,’ The Catgirl told herself, tail stiffer than ever. ’A lot of males in the crowd... Jason just recently beca Chief, so I can assu those are his friends, right?’ Calia couldn’t help but gulp at the thought. ’What if they judge for not being an Ogre? What if they don’t like ? If his friends don’t like or even hate , could we still...?’

She did her best to quiet her mind and simply approach the group like she belonged, but it was a difficult battle.

Her ears twitched constantly, trying to catch the whispers and murmurs of those that had noticed her.

"E-Excuse ..." Calia muttered upon arriving right behind the crowd.

She gulped again as the sea of Ogres imdiately turned in her direction.

"C... Can I pass through-"

"It’s her!"

"Calia, right?"

"The Chief’s woman!"

"Hello! It’s great to et you!"

Wide and welcoming smiles imdiately appeared on the male Ogres’ faces. So even wanted to shake her hand.

The sea of Ogres parted, leaving a direct path to join Jason’s side.

’Oh...’ Calia scratched her cheek, smiling shyly as her gaze t Jason’s. ’He told them about .’

The Catgirl timidly walked through the crowd, shaking the hands offered to her, and pursing her lips in embarrassnt.

"Morning." Jason said as she joined his side.

"Hey..." The Catgirl whispered, visibly intimidated by the dozens of eyes suddenly locked on her.

The male Ogres were incredibly curious as to who their Chief’s woman was, and they couldn’t hide it.

At the very least, the fact that she was from a different Species didn’t bother them in the least. In fact, so found it very cool.

"Of course our Chief would choose soone like that." One of the male Ogres in the crowd whispered. "Our females are... Well..."

Vel let out a heavy, audible sigh.

"Took you long enough," She muttered. "We can wait a couple more hours, if you’re still sleepy."

Jason raised an eyebrow instantly. ’Is Vel trying to break the awkward silence? She’s helpful, in her own way.’

Calia’s lips parted, ready to retort. "Shut up." She ended up whispering, reminded of the previous night’s events.

"In any case," Narjis scratched her head. "Like I was saying..."

Less than twenty minutes later, the Tribe was split into two groups.

One remained in the village, and the other entered the forest.

"Hm..."

"What is it?" Jason asked, noticing that Calia seed bothered by sothing. "Walking through the forest is kind of annoying. I hope we can obtain better ways of transportation soon."

"No..." The Catgirl scratched her head. "I’m quite happy to walk. It’s been a while after all..."

"Then?"

"Nothing." Calia pursed her lips. "It’s just... You’re the only male here."

"Yeah." Jason shrugged as he looked around.

The two were walking at the center of the group, with female Ogres ahead of them, and more female Ogres behind them.

"We’ll have so guys join us next ti." The Chief rubbed his chin. "Once they get used to fighting a bit. They need the experience before a real fight goes down."

"Right..."

"Don’t tell you’re worried about or sothing?" Jason smirked teasingly.

It was true.

Ogres, Orcs, Hobgoblins, and Goblins were all known to be vicious beasts that had no control over their bodily urges.

"Well, there are six of them... Counting Vel..." Calia whispered, scratching her head. "I’m just a bit worried..."

’That’s cute.’ The Chief chuckled internally. "I’m not worried at all." He shrugged.

"Well, you should be!"

Not only was Jason not worried about being violated, but the odds were not as bad as Calia thought.

Vel was his slave, and could hardly harm him thanks to the Spell held within the choker around her neck.

Ayn was one of the female Ogres that Jason trusted the most apart from Narjis and Vel. She had been the first to accept his claim as Chief, and he knew how much she loved her n, with whom she was now sharing a hut.

Fia and Kon... Weren’t really interested in him.

’That only leaves Ama and Wyn.’

Those two, Jason was slightly worried about.

They had been part of Ena’s group, the female Ogre who had attempted to murder him.

’Narjis thought about breaking up the three. That was a good idea.’

Since he trusted them the least, they walked ahead of him, while Vel and Ayn walked behind.

Keee- Keee-

"So cool." The Chief whispered, looking far ahead into the distance. Witnessing the difference between Hunters and hunters amused him greatly. "They sound just like eagles."
