Chapter 962: 948, which bastard (1)

Jian Qing could guess where they had just been without needing a detailed explanation.

Yet he had been shot, and still he wouldn’t rest; there was really no helping him.

Her furrowed brows relaxed, “Where is he?”

“On the third floor, turn left, the first room.” Yi Kai glanced at the cake she was holding and a teasing smile curved on his lips as sothing occurred to him.

“Madam, are you here to celebrate the Boss’s birthday?”

Jian Qing snorted softly, “Who says that.”

Yi Kai chuckled softly and looked down, while Jian Qing strode upstairs.

Watching Jian Qing’s figure disappear at the stairwell, Yi Kai’s smile suddenly froze.

Shoot, Boss still has injuries on his hand.

Would he be sent by the Boss to the frontiers to dry salted fish?

Dawn hadn’t broken yet, and the other people in the villa were still asleep.

The hallway was quiet and silent. Jian Qing stood at the door, looking at the closed room door, her lips curving into a warm smile.

She lifted her hand and knocked on the door.

“Knock, knock, knock—”

In the bedroom, Quan Jingwu had just put down the docunt when he heard the knock and walked over to open the door.

“Yi Kai, what’s up?”

Before his words ended, the door was pushed open.

When he saw clearly who was standing at the door, he lost his voice instantly.

“You…”

How could she be here?

He had planned to deal with the matters here overnight so that he could rush back to celebrate his birthday with her and their two little treasures. He hadn’t expected her to give him such a huge surprise.

“Do you need to be this surprised to see ?” Jian Qing smiled mischievously.

After a glance, she confird that her Quan Jingwu was still as handso as ever.

“How did you get here?” Quan Jingwu’s voice rose with excitent, grabbing her hand and pulling her into his embrace.

“Hey, hey, easy! If you ruin my cake, I won’t let you off.” As she collided with his firm chest, Jian Qing’s nose hurt, and she quickly raised the cake in her hand to prevent it from becoming another casualty.

Under the light, the exquisitely packaged cake made its presence felt strongly.

Quan Jingwu embraced her without letting go, and his gaze shifted to the cake in her hand, waves rippling in his eyes, “For ?”

“Not at all. I just suddenly felt like eating cake, but since it’s so big and I thought it’d be a waste if I couldn’t finish it, I decided to bring it here so you could help

eat it,” Jian Qing pulled away from his grasp, panting heavily, almost strangled.

Quan Jingwu lowered his gaze and t her smiling eyes, his lips curving slightly, “You ran all the way here from Beijing for cake?”

Jian Qing made a sound of disdain and walked past him toward the sofa, “Is that wrong?”

Quan Jingwu laughed softly, obediently following behind her.

“I heard you were injured, so consider this cake a visitation gift for the patient,” Jian Qing set down the cake, her gaze casually sweeping towards his arm.

Quan Jingwu sat down beside her, a flicker of emotion passing through his eyes, “Who told you?”

Jian Qing raised an eyebrow, “Does it matter?”

“Are you angry?” Quan Jingwu gripped her wrist, pulling her in front of him.

“Why should I be angry? It’s not

who’s injuring himself and staying up all night without sleep,” Jian Qing turned her head, refusing to look at him.

“Heh!”

Quan Jingwu’s lips curled into a smile, his fingertips pinching her chin, forcing her to turn her head, “Is this your way of showing concern for ?”

Jian Qing snorted coldly and directly reached up to pull up his sleeve to check his wound.

“It’s nothing serious, just a minor injury, don’t worry,” Quan Jingwu held her hand, bringing it to his lips for a light peck.

“Fine, if you’re okay, then I’m leaving.” Jian Qing withdrew her hand, stood up, and pretended she was going to leave.

“My treasure!”

Quan Jingwu wasn’t about to let her go now that she was here.

He reached out, took hold of her wrist, and with a strong tug, Jian Qing fell into his embrace, his strong arms instantly wrapping around her waist.

“My treasure, I’m in so much pain.”

He tilted his head to rest on her shoulder, his magnetic, husky voice carrying a hint of sexiness.

“…”

Jian Qing cast a sidelong glance at him. Who was it that had just said a minor injury was no big deal?

She pushed his head away and pulled up his sleeve. The white bandage was stained with spots of blood. “Did it get torn just now?”

Quan Jingwu shook his head, “It’s really nothing. The doctor took care of it.”

“No way, do you have any dicine?” Jian Qing glared at him, “What if the wound gets infected and inflad?”

“Alright, don’t be angry, hmm?” Quan Jingwu playfully grazed her nose tip, “I’ll go get the dicine box for you.”

This was the first ti she had shown concern for him since her amnesia, and naturally, he wanted to thoroughly enjoy it.

Before long, Quan Jingwu brought the dicine box, which still contained the dicine left by the doctor.

“You hold onto your sleeve.” The dark-colored robe was made of silk, and the sleeves would slide down just a few seconds after being pulled up; Jian Qing took his hand and had him hold onto the sleeve.

Quan Jingwu glanced down at the robe on his body, and his athyst eyes darkened, “This is too much trouble.”

“Hmm?” Jian Qing picked up the bandage, looking at him uncomprehendingly.

The next second, he untied the belt around his waist and with a light shake, the robe slid down from his shoulders, pooling around his waist.

Bare-ard, Quan Jingwu watched as the person across from him seed to freeze, a hint of amusent lifted the corners of his mouth, and he placed her hand on his wound.

“My treasure, later you can take your ti looking.”

“Get lost.” Jian Qing calmly withdrew her gaze and began to remove the bloodied bandage from his arm.

“Quan Jingwu, has anyone ever told you that you’re asking for a beating?”

He didn’t even take care of himself after getting hurt.

Quan Jingwu watched her thick lashes flutter, like a feather gently brushing his heartstrings, “Yes, you’ve said that before.”

Jian Qing’s eyes flickered slightly at his words, but her expression remained unchanged as she applied dicine to his wound.

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Quan Jingwu, what would you do if I never rembered my past mories?” Jian Qing asked in an extrely soft voice.

As he watched a lock of her hair fall onto her cheek, Quan Jingwu couldn’t resist reaching out to hook back that strand of dark hair, “It doesn’t matter. Since you’re already my wife and no one can change that, I’ll just have to woo you all over again.”

Suppressing a laugh, Jian Qing said, “What if I happen to like so other handso guy?”

His eyes narrowed dangerously, “Could he be more handso than ?”

“That’s hard to say.” Jian Qing teased him on purpose, “When you weren’t around these past couple days, I saw soone much more handso than you.”

As she wrapped the bandage around his wound, she observed his complexion, successfully seeing Lord Jing’s face turn sour, and she continued nonchalantly, “What’s more, he’s better at being sweet, has a nicer voice, and he always saves the tastiest bites for

first.”

With each hit, Jingwu’s anger ter soared to the limit, teetering on the edge of exploding.

“Which bastard?”

In his absence these past two days, could it be that so blind fool dared to co close to his woman?

“What’s the matter, you’re not planning to hit soone, are you?” Jian Qing put away the dicine box and turned to look at him with an air of nonchalance.

“Let

tell you, I quite like him. You are not allowed to touch him,” she warned.

Hearing her say she liked another man from her own lips, Quan Jingwu’s face grew stern, his eyes inquisitively studying her, trying to find even the slightest hint of jest on her face.
