As he passed through the last of the protective formations, Shun Long made his way out of Lunar Grave's headquarters with Liu i and the others in tow.
On the way out, he didn't spot any other assassins either, as if the entire headquarters only had Wolf Hunter, Thousand-faced, and the few assassins gathered in the main hall earlier.
Still, he wasn't overly surprised about that either. It made sense, considering most of Lunar Grave's mbers were rely affiliated with the guild and didn't have a deep sense of camaraderie. It would be unnatural for them to stay there if there was nothing for them to do.
Nevertheless, he didn't regret taking the ti to visit Lunar Grave. Putting aside the fact that he learned how an Abyss-class assassination mission had been placed over his head, just eting Wolf Hunter and getting a better idea of how the guild operated was worth the trip.
Still, standing in front of Lunar Grave's gate and taking in the starry sky above him, he couldn't help but curve his lips ever so slightly, as he thought about that last mission.
Dealing with the Tianxuan dynasty right now would indeed be a bit difficult. Even more so considering how there were also nurous cultivators from the Immortal Dinsion roaming the continent.
Still, if Xuan Bo wanted to deal with him, Shun Long wasn't going to be polite either.
With a smile on his face, he threw one last glance at the obscure guild headquarters behind him, before he took a step forward and vanished from the southern part of Amber Dawn, as if he had never been there in the first place.

Back on the third floor of the shop, Bai Longtian could no longer stay silent as he looked at Shun Long and asked solemnly
''Brother Shun... are you sure about this?''
Liu i and the others didn't say anything, but it was clear they all mirrored his thoughts as they looked at Shun Long in unison. After all, this matter was really a serious one.
It was one thing for Liu i and the rest to work as assassins for Lunar Grave and climb the ranks, especially Xingyi who was, without a doubt, the one best suited for this. With her Dao of Shadows and her Vanishing Shadows unique physique, she was basically born to be an elite assassin.
However, Shun Long's case was a completely different story. If he was planning to manage his alchemy shop every day without changing his plans and also take on assassination missions from Lunar Grave, his chances of being discovered by the Tianxuan dynasty or even so Void or Abyss-class assassins would increase exponentially.
After all, despite the disguise he wore, who could say with certainty that the Tianxuan dynasty or any high-tier cultivators wouldn't be able to see through it? By then, if anyone found out that Shun Long had been roaming around the central continent without a care, his life would really be in danger.
And yet, Shun Long rely nodded as he looked at Bai Longtian and the others, before he said with a confident smile that didn't match his aged look
''Don't worry. Aside from a few powerful Sovereigns, barely anyone can see through my disguise. No peak-stage Dao Emperors can do it, at least.''
As his raspy voice echoed through the floor, Shun Long used his qi and removed the layer of paste that had altered his appearance, revealing his handso face once more. Even his wrinkly skin seed to disappear the mont his face returned to normal, along with his slightly hunched back that quickly restored itself as well.
It wasn't that Shun Long was arrogant when he said that barely anyone could see through this disguise of his, he was just that confident about it.
After all, this paste was sothing that even most low-level Earth Immortals would have trouble seeing through if they weren't in close proximity to it.
Of course... what Shun Long didn't tell Bai Longtian and the rest was, that any high-level Dao Emperor who had comprehended the Dao of Fate would have a decent chance of locating him too, regardless of whether he wore a disguise or not... given enough ti and the necessary tools, that was.
Still, even if he ignored how rare cultivators of the Dao of Fate were, let alone the high-level Sovereign ones, Shun Long knew that even they weren't omniscient. Even if a Sovereign of Fate tried to find him, they'd at most be able to guess his general location and not exactly where he was at.
''Besides, it's not like I'm planning on staying idle this whole ti either. I'm going to take the next couple of weeks and breakthrough to the peak of rank 9, before I even take on any assassination missions.''
When Liu i and the others heard that, they all visibly relaxed for the very first ti. Shun Long had remained at the peak of rank 8 since they were still in the 'City of Immortals' and hadn't had the ti to cultivate ever since.
Others may not know how vast the gap between a peak rank 8 and a peak rank 9 Dao King really was, but Liu i and the rest knew it all too well. That's why they'd felt regretful that he'd had stagnated there for so long.
After all, if Shun Long was so terrifying when he was still a peak rank 8 Dao King, they could only imagine how strong he'd beco as a pseudo-Dao Emperor!
After browsing through the low-level missions of Lunar Grave one last ti, Shun Long had Xingyi and the others choose a mission each, before everyone but Bai Longtian vanished from the third floor.
