''Leave?''
Wolf Hunter was montarily taken aback by the abrupt declaration, his eyes glued on Shun Long as the 'old man' turned around and glanced at his disciples before they all headed for the door of the private room.
Seeing that the man wasn't even throwing him a look in passing and was really about to leave, the middle-aged hall master could no longer remain quiet. He had been itching to ask this question since he found out Shun Long was a Sovereign, and had been waiting for the right mont ever since. Unfortunately, that mont never arrived, and seeing how the small group of 5 was now leaving, Wolf Hunter could no longer bide his ti.
Thus, the Void-class assassin took a deep breath and steeled himself before he stepped forward and said nervously
''Senior, please wait! I need another mont of your ti, if you will!''
Shun Long stopped in his tracks and turned around, finally taking in the middle-aged man who had been looking at him with an expectant gaze. This ti, it was clear that Wolf Hunter had let go of all of his previous arrogance and poise and was earnestly trying to bring up a topic.
And indeed, seeing how he had captured the old man's attention, Wolf Hunter no longer hesitated and got straight to the point
''Senior, would you be interested in joining our guild?''
''...''
''... Join your guild? I have already joined you, have I not?'' Shun Long's raspy voice reverberated throughout the private room, curiosity and dissatisfaction mixed within as he looked at the solemn Dao Emperor. Wolf Hunter's eyes however only lit up as he saw the opportunity in front of him. Without missing a beat, the man lunged at it, hurriedly shaking his head as he responded with a stamr
''No, I an, yes. Senior, you and your disciples have already joined us, but only as outer mbers. What I'm asking now is, if you would be interested in becoming an inner mber of Lunar Grave!''
Without giving Shun Long or anyone else a chance to interject, Wolf Hunter continued in a single breath
''Naturally, senior's strength qualifies you to beco an inner mber of the guild, and although there will be a brief verification process, I can assure you it's nothing much. It will just be senior eting with so of the higher-ups of the guild and becoming acquainted with them. If anything, I'm sure it will be more of a benefit to senior than a hassle!
Additionally, becoming an inner mber cos with a lot of benefits, so of which senior will certainly find useful considering you just arrived in Amber Dawn!''
Narrowing his eyes, Shun Long glanced at Wolf Hunter who was eager to continue his explanation, ready to list off all the available benefits he would get when Shun Long raised his hand, promptly cutting the hall master off.
His raspy voice then reverberated throughout the private room once more as he shook his head and said firmly
''I get what you are trying to say, Wolf Hunter. However, I am not interested in becoming a core mber of your guild. Not yet, at least. Joining you like this is already mutually beneficial for both of us, so let's keep it that way. Don't forget... I am nothing but a humble alchemist, and I am planning to keep it that way.''
Wolf Hunter wanted to argue and discuss this topic a bit more, hoping to change the old man's mind after listing all of the benefits. Unfortunately, Shun Long didn't seem to give him a second chance.
Waving a hand, he motioned for Liu i and the others to follow him, as the 4 of them cupped their hands at Wolf Hunter before walking out of the private room in quick succession.

The inner maze of Lunar Grave welcod them once more, but this ti, Shun Long could make out so of the formation's inner workings as he made his way directly towards the exit.
The gigantic maze seed to be one massive illusionary formation, but the small green jade in his hands guided Shun Long to the right path.
Still, even without this lunar token, Shun Long had a few ways to get out of this place if he really wanted to.
Although the Lunar Grave guild's formation was indeed powerful- so much so that Shun Long doubted he would be able to find his way out even with his spiritual strength that rivaled an early-stage Sovereign's, he knew that at the end of the day, it was only a disorienting formation.
It could prevent others from finding their way around this place, but it couldn't stop him if he opened a space rift and tried to leave.
The only reason he didn't do so was because he wasn't willing to reveal his secrets to any prying eyes of the Lunar Grave's higher-ups that might be watching, including Wolf Hunter, of course.
As for the hundreds of traps the old door man, Thousand-faced had ntioned, they were already visible to anyone with a Lunar token, so neither Shun Long nor Liu i and the others were in any danger.
''Still, I bet Lunar Grave has a couple more protective formations at the sa level as this formation. There is no way the Amber Dawn Sovereign would have let them stay here otherwise.''
As this thought flashed through his mind, Shun Long began to take in the formations around him with renewed interest, slowing down his steps and giving each formation an extra glance as he made his way out.
As for Wolf Hunter's suggestion, he didn't even need to give it a second thought before directly rejecting it.
Indeed, the middle-aged hall master was right when he said that Shun Long would also benefit from joining Lunar Grave as an inner mber. Even without any extra benefits, just getting acquainted with the Sovereigns of Lunar Grave was bound to offer plenty of different opportunities.
However, Shun Long knew that nothing was free. Even those 'different opportunities' ca at a certain cost. The cost of becoming enemies with the Amber Dawn Sovereign and the entire city guard.
Shun Long wasn't naive enough to think that the city guard wouldn't catch wind of the Lunar Grave guild recruiting another Sovereign in their ranks. It was only a matter of ti before they put two and two together and realized who that was.
Thus, no matter how tempting Wolf Hunter's offer may be or how many benefits Lunar Grave was willing to throw his way to recruit him, Shun Long wasn't going to bite. Not yet!
