"Jasmine, what exactly happened in there while I was away? I recall you ntioning mum humiliating you and Jane hurting your foot more so what happened? Tell so I will at least understand what was happening between you and the guy earlier...,"
"I won't tell you anything since it will look like I am the evil one here so ask soone present there to narrate what happened because I won't," Jasmine said as she took a step forward only to stagger backwards because she could not apply pressure on her right leg.
The agile Jackson caught her just in ti before she could fall.
"Let carry you," Jackson said as he quickly carried the angry lady before she could reject his offer.
When they were in front of the hall, Jackson let her down since this was what she wanted.
The instant they stepped foot into the hall, Jasmine saw her parents approaching the entrance which also serves as the exit.
"Mum, father," Jasmine remarked when they both reached where they stood. Jackson quickly greeted them the mont he saw them.
"Mum, father this is my...," Before Jasmine could introduce Jackson, her father walked past them.
"Go to the hospital and get your foot properly treated or your dad will be even angrier when he sees you leaping around," Mrs Avans tapped her by the shoulder before she exited the hall too.
"Were your parents perhaps present when the incident you ntioned happened?" Jackson asked on hearing Jasmine mother words.
"It's very likely they were there seeing how angry father is," Jasmine replied absent-mindedly before she made to walk into the hall.
Jackson went to enquire what happened after he had found a suitable place for her to sit down.
Knowing that other socialites will be too scared of him to reveal the truth, he approached Alfred and Elizabeth table. Elizabeth was too angry to tell him what he wanted to hear so Alfred did the narration.
After hearing the entire story, Jackson was so angry that he could not hide it.
"Liza even wanted to challenge your mum but I stopped her because I didn't want it to look like she was ddling in you guys business," Alfred said in a serious tone.
"I was so supportive of your relationship with my sister. I even went ahead to put in good words for you when Jasmine was hesitating to accept you. Jackson, I did all this not because you were better than all the n out there but because I saw that you love her. I thought you could protect her but what is going on here?" Elizabeth asked fiercely.
"Your very own mother treated her like she was so lowly girl you picked up from the streets whereas she is the daughter of the richest man in the country. I wonder how my parents would have reacted if they were here to see how their beloved daughter was treated so badly...,"
"Liza, it's ok hmm," Alfred said as he placed his hand on her leg and tap her leg gently.
"Jackson, Jasmine is known all over for her fierceness. She has never let anyone who insults her go scot-free but for your happiness, she did not hesitate to let your mother walk all over her. If this was our parents treating you this way I am sure that hotheaded girl wouldn't have let them have a peaceful night yet...," Elizabeth was too emotional to speak.
"I am unhappy with the way your mum treats my little sister. I even tried talking to her about this but she brushed it off by saying she will win her over...,"
"I also told her not to ever let my mum bully her but she won't listen to either. She is silly to think that I will be happy if she quietly let my mum mistreats her," Jackson said in a more calm tone.
"Jackson, I hate to see my sister hurt be it physically or emotionally so I suggest you do sothing about the way your mum treats her because I am certain you won't have an easy sail with my father if he learns about this. He will take revenge for his daughter's humiliation, I promise you this," Elizabeth said before she stood up and walked away. Alfred also followed her after biding Jackson farewell.
Jackson began looking for his mum and Jane after the couple left him. Instead of seeing those he was looking for he bumped into Evelyn and Steve.
"Jack, where were you when your injured woman was being ganged up on? I am so disappointed in you...,"
"You can scold all you want after you tell whether you have seen my mum and Jane in the hall," Jackson interrupted the furious Evelyn.
"I saw Auntie and Jane together so monts ago heading out of the hall. I am sure they must be heading ho together," Steve replied to his question.
"Guys, I will leave the task of taking Jasmine to the car to the two of you. Thanks in advance," Jackson tapped Steve by the shoulder before he quickly turned around and approach the entrance.
"I fear what he will do with how angry he is," Steve said his eyes glued on Jackson's departing back.
"Whatever he does I am sure that annoying Jane deserved it so I don't feel an ounce of pity for her," Evelyn said before she approached where Jasmine sat oblivious of what was going on.
When Jackson reached where cars were parked he searched for any sign of his mother's car. He finally find the car after searching for three minutes.
Before the car could drive off the angry Jackson was at the front of the car with his hands spread. The driver halted when he saw this.
"Jacky, how could you jump into the front of the car impulsively, what if the car had hit you?" Mrs Smith asked with her head sticking out of the window.
"If that had happened then I would have died of physical pains only instead of undergoing the emotional pains that you are putting through," Jackson said approaching the side of the car his mum sits. He acted as though he didn't see Jane sitting at the other side of the car.
"Jacky, what do you an by that?" Mrs Smith asked in confusion as she steps out of the car. The angry Jackson went ahead and explained what he ant.
