The two golden and crispy egg tart balls on the plate looked like much smaller hamburgers. Upon biting through the crispy crust, soft egg cake was revealed inside. The lamb chops were perfectly cut to the size of a palm with bones cut through, now sizzling and radiating heat on the black plate, the roasted vegetables contained lightly charred parsley, carrot strips, green cauliflower, etc. from the hot grill. Crystal Cola is a type of cola, clear in color, slightly sweet, with a low sugar content.
The four sat down at a corner of the dining room with their trays. Although Shui Yanqing and Ores were still in a silent tiff, they didn't choose separate tables but sat diagonally across the sa one, avoiding the discomfort of sitting together.
"Their beef patties are really tasty." Blanchi comnted while eating her beef patty which contained clearly separate chunks of beef, not resembling the grounded at from generic brands.
"Yeah, the quality is good." Shui Yanqing finally spoke, breaking the silence from the whole trip.
"Are you getting used to it, Ores?" Tilan asked the songstress miss sitting beside her.
"Still getting used to it." Ores was slowly enjoying her fruits and pastries, having ordered conservatively with modest portions.
Seeing that the two finally started talking, Tilan felt much better. During the al, they rarely spoke, but at least it wasn't completely silent; among the four, Tilan and Blanchi, usually quieter, beca the main initiators of conversation today.
"If I hadn't awakened my songstress talent, just to be able to work at a company like this would have been a great fortune." Blanchi looked at the surrounding employees and felt quite emotional.
"I rember Blanchi's scores are actually not that bad." Tilan, who had spent quite so ti with Blanchi learning piano, had gotten to know her much better.

Blanchi was being modest actually, because the vast majority of people couldn't get into college, but compared to the other three at the table, Blanchi's talent was indeed just average.

Shui Yanqing said this out of the blue, although she didn't explain, Tilan understood her feelings; without the songstress talent, she might not even have 'human rights,' let alone soone born into an Elf Family like Ores.
No wonder she is so cautious, always trying to please others, doing things ticulously - it must be the environnt and experience that force her, because of her status, many topics and sides are like walking on a tightrope. If it causes any political issues, others can easily attack her based on her identity.
As for Ores beside her, Tilan looked at her, the elf girl slowly enjoying her lunch appeared unrestrained since childhood, advocating for nature and inherent traits, disliking Shui Yanqing's deliberate pretense and slightly slick rhetoric; her family background also ensured that Ores never had to bow down to others or perform any pleasing gestures.
Shui Yanqing thinks Ores is lofty, not understanding the hardships of lower classes, while Ores thinks Shui Yanqing is already a songstress yet still puts on pretenses, finding her first eting speech using her own bloodline ability as cheating, very displeasing.
Their fundantal values differ, so it's not at all strange that they have conflicts.
Perhaps only by making Ores truly understand Shui Yanqing's situation, and then Shui Yanqing obtaining an environnt where she can truly be at ease without worrying about her identity, can their conflicts be healed.
Getting Ores to understand Shui Yanqing's situation is feasible, but truly resolving Shui Yanqing's deep-seated issues is not that simple.
Superficially, Shui Yanqing appears to be a skilled conversationalist with high emotional intelligence, very kind to strangers, but this image is actually a protective shell; only amongst fellow songstresses does this shell beco ineffective. When this protective shell is lost, Shui Yanqing is easily irritated by Ores, who is also very sensitive, often touching on Shui Yanqing's most vulnerable issues, thus aggravating the tension.
It seems it will be simpler to start with Ores, just letting her not provoke Shui Yanqing, then slowly helping her understand Shui Yanqing's struggles, and showing more sympathy and warmth, this should stabilize Shui Yanqing's side as well.
