Though a bit clumsy, it was clear that she was serious about it, so Tilan didn't want to interrupt her.
Actually, she didn't need to wash Ores' hair for such a hassle, but using Magic Power now wouldn't be conducive to healing, so she didn't stop her.
After a while, Tilan stood up a bit and used a bath towel to cover her body.
"Alright, after this I'll handle it myself, Ores, you should go rest first."
"Okay." Ores nodded, went back to the bed, and sat there waiting for Tilan.
Seeing this, the young girl shook her head slightly, and a burst of transparent ice bead fragnts fell from her hair and body into the basin, splashing a little water, then slowly lting.
After getting clean, Tilan ca out, put her dress into the basin, washed it lightly, then dried it and put it on.
It seems I should always keep two sets of clothes on hand; otherwise, it's too troubleso, the girl thought to herself.
After that, she returned to the bedside, sat down with Ores; it was already quite late, and after teaching Ores so more about how to speak, Tilan felt a bit sleepy, so she closed the door and fastened the latch, then lay down with Ores to sleep.
That night, she slept deeply, a rare good night's rest.
The next day, a knock at the door woke Tilan, and she got up to open it, finding Sura outside.
"Are you up? Lunch is ready. If you don't co soon, it'll get cold." She beckoned Tilan over.
"Alright, we'll be right there."
Then Tilan pulled up the still sleepy Ores, and the two headed to the dining spot of the settlent.
The cooking area was a shed outside the cave. The dining area was a room near the cave's entrance, where a coarse stone table was set, and a few oddly shaped stones served as chairs.
On the table was a large pot of cooked wheat porridge, with so vegetable roots mixed in. You could see so green and white chunks.
"This is the masterpiece of Marula, the best chef in our settlent. Tilan and Ores, co and try it." Sura placed two wooden bowls on the table, then poured the steaming wheat porridge and vegetable chunks into them.
Though the two had eaten sothing last night, it was rely dry bread from the settlent's reserves, not very pleasant. Today was their first proper al since arriving in this world.
The heat from which the wheat porridge was made was still a bit scalding; Tilan blew on it with a spoon and carefully tasted a bit.
The texture was good, perhaps because she was hungry, but the flavor was mild, likely due to the lack of salt.
Tilan glanced at Ores beside her. She was also blowing on her spoon like Tilan, but hadn't yet tasted it.
"Eat slowly; it's a bit hot." Tilan instructed and only let Ores eat after she had blown on it a bit more.
As the two were having lunch, a figure leaning on a cane entered, helped by Guy.
"This is Tilan, the lady who helped treat Big Moose yesterday." Guy introduced, then turned.
"This is Marula, our settlent's best chef. He can tell which things are edible and preserve so items." The man in worn linen clothes looked about 30 years old, short black hair, pale complexion, with heavy shadows under his eyes.
"Hello." His voice was sowhat hoarse, and he seed not entirely recovered, a bit dazed.
To this, Guy rely patted his shoulder without saying much.
In a while, Sura ca back, sitting on a stone in the room.
"All here, one, two, three, four, plus Tilan and Ores, making six altogether. This is everyone in the settlent now."
After yesterday's incident, apart from Big Moose still in a coma, only three remained in the settlent. Sura and Guy were still intact, but Marula lost a leg in the fight, and last night Guy cleaned and bandaged his wound.
The atmosphere was sowhat chilly, especially for Marula, who was gloomy from losing a leg, and Sura didn't seem like soone who comforted others, while Guy chatted with him a bit but didn't dare say too much, afraid of upsetting him.
While eating, Sura chattered on about the results of the morning's battlefield cleanup.
"We found so leftover broken weapons; after lting them down, they might still be useful. Although yesterday was chaotic, luckily, the corner plot of wheat wasn't too damaged. If we maintain it carefully, we can have food in the future."
"But many are gone, Grandma Morolly, who could sew, is gone, and the settlent no longer has anyone to make clothes. We're also short on hands, needing soone to take turns as a lookout."
"Let do it; I can't do much else right now anyway." Marula spoke up more spiritedly now, volunteering.
"It'll be tough on Marula then; I'll make you a bell later. You just need to ring it if there's anything."
Sura turned her head, "Sorry, Hexia, we probably won't be able to take you to Shilin Mountain Castle these days."
"It's fine, it's not that urgent." If there weren't any superluminal spacecraft on this planet, then finding a city wouldn't an much either.
"In the upcoming period, could Tilan stay and help us a bit? Big Moose is seriously injured, and we need manpower." Sura asked directly for help.
"Sure." Tilan agreed with a nod, and Sura breathed a sigh of relief seeing this.
"If you need anything, just tell or Guy, and if there's sothing you don't understand, feel free to ask." She contemplated, discussing the division of tasks for the upcoming period.
