[The superluminal flight you are on has now arrived at its destination, Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain-B2-7621 (Jade Skirt), and the current ti is 3:42:55 AM]
Amidst the chanical prompt, Tilan opened her eyes and looked out the window at the nightti sky.
Is it already night? At this ti, most people are resting.
Exiting the superluminal aircraft, surrounded by a group of mbers, Tilan entered the terminal. She had not inford the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain about her arrival in advance, so there were no official personnel to greet her at this hour.
But this was exactly what she wanted; she didn’t want to make a big deal out of this visit.
After waiting a few minutes at the airport, Tilan boarded a shuttlecraft heading to the northern part of the planet. Before eting the Starfield Governor, she wanted to visit her forr teachers.
One was the Ghost Princess residing behind Yuanting Academy, and the other was Lady Isabella.
When she arrived at Yuanting Academy, it was still deep night in this ti zone. Apart from a few surprised teachers on duty who saw Tilan, no one else knew of the girl’s arrival.
"Don’t disturb everyone; I’ll leave after a short stay," she said to the teachers on duty, and with a small group, crossed the mountain area housing the academy, then went alone into the misty valley and deep pool.
The air here was frigid, and the dense mist seed to steal so warmth with every step forward. By the ti Tilan reached the edge of the deep pool, the surrounding air had already dropped to tens of degrees below zero, yet the ground remained green and moist, devoid of ice.
The lake, once blooming with ice lantern flowers, was now empty. The cold pool was exceptionally quiet, and standing by the pool, Tilan felt a slight foreboding.
Sure enough, when she released her consciousness to sense the valley and underwater, there was no longer the presence of the Ghost Princess; only the lingering cold in the air reminded her that though it seed uninhabited now, soone had indeed lived here.
"Gone..." Tilan stood sowhat disappointed at the lake’s edge, gazing at the utterly tranquil water.
Back then, she had just entered high school, still in the stage of youthful ignorance, and this ghostly teacher had taught her many things with profound knowledge and life experiences. Especially the grand epic that was like a firsthand experience, broadening her mind and instilling more reverence for history.
Walking around the lake, after a lap, Tilan still reluctantly dove into the water, the frigid lake water engulfing her as spots of light erged around her, illuminating the depths.
The water was clear, and the underwater world was illuminated with clarity. The extre cold ant no animals or plants were present, making it quite bleak.
However, the rectangular ice contour in the lake’s center caught the girl’s attention. Such a shape made it unsurprising if a coffin had once lain here.
Slowly swimming toward it, at the bottom of the ice contour, Tilan finally saw a line of fine engraved letters; these were carved on the ice layer. If Tilan hadn’t returned today, they’d likely have lted away in a few years.
’Don’t look for , rember the last thing I said to you and fulfill your mission.’
The writing was very elegant, and the words had a classical touch. When Tilan touched them, she could faintly sense the writer’s emotions at the ti.
A trace of nostalgia and reluctance, mixed with a bit of expectation and hope.
The last words said to , Tilan closed her eyes, recalling that conversation in detail.
『"So, Hexia, you’re graduating soon, aren’t you?" The Ghost Princess recalled.
"One more year."
"A year, that’s soon. Just as you’re now collaborating with Grey Dust Crystal, you should be in a position to manage so personnel."
"If possible, ntion to Grey Dust Crystal that we hope to gather so girls around your age, with similar thinking and good aptitude."
"Gather them for what?"
"Choir, maybe it’s called that; they will be your assistants, collaborators, extensions of your will."
"Is there such a need? I think this is the first I’ve heard of it." Hexia blinked, looking at the Ghost Princess.
"Not anymore?" The Ghost Princess seed puzzled and then spoke after thinking.
"Hmm, I understand. It seems this matter can wait." She pondered a while.
"However, the training related to songstresses can indeed be started. You’re quite influential at Edith now, and you can persuade the board to specifically start recruiting students willing to learn songstress-related secret techniques."
"Those with songstress talent are extrely rare, but many secret techniques related to songstresses don’t necessarily require a songstress to use. Other transcendents can also learn, just not as effectively as a songstress."
"I t one in Saint Yingo; without songstress talent, her mastery of songstress-related secret techniques was strong." Hexia recalled the Saint Yingo student nad ’Maidi.’
"Ah, them... it’s a tradition, probably habitually retained." The Ghost Princess slowly spoke, then shook her head gently.
"As an academy nad after the Elven Royalty, nurturing ’singers’ is their duty. However, with so few people having songstress talents now, this objective is likely forgotten."
...
"Don’t be trapped by so-called origins or past; humans are as free as the wind, bound by nothing."
"I’ve seen such a person; pure and simple-minded, you could say her character cos straight from a fairy tale. Yet such a person achieved nurous great deeds and miracles, even leaving to gaze up in awe."
