"Interdiate level ones can produce 20 pills per batch. The primary level should yield more, about 25 pills," said Dugu Qianye. Seeing the strange look on Mo Yin’s face, she asked, "Uncle Si, what’s wrong? Are my numbers much lower than others’? I’m already working on improving my pill yield rates."
"Do you know what the usual pill yield rate for alchemists is?" Mo Yin did not answer her question but asked one instead.
Dugu Qianye shook her head and said, "When I was guiding Mo Feng before, I only taught him so refining techniques and never asked about his pill yield rate. I have even less knowledge about other people’s rates."
"Typically, alchemists can only produce 5 to 10 elixirs per batch. Mo Feng can now produce 15 per batch, which already makes him a genius in the realm of elixirs," Mo Yin said, taking a glance at Dugu Qianye. "For you to produce 25 per batch, tsk tsk, it truly is a miracle amongst miracles!"
Hearing Mo Yin’s praise, Dugu Qianye smiled and said, "And here I thought I was much worse than others!"
After all, she was currently using the pill recipes and techniques revealed by the Shennong Cauldron; how could she possibly fall behind?
Having rushed to produce a number of elixirs for the Mo Family Elixir Pharmacy to sell and stored so in her ring, Dugu Qianye did not spend too much effort on the primary and interdiate levels any longer, only refining a batch or two each day to ensure a continuous supply.
These days, she spent her mornings studying the thods to refine Grade 7 elixirs, and her nights were occupied with absorbing Phantom Power or practicing the Formless Divine Skill. Soon enough, she produced her first batch of Grade 7 elixirs. Though it was only a few pills, she was still very happy, as this signified her leap from an interdiate to an advanced alchemist.
Looking at the round elixirs in her palm, Dugu Qianye thought to herself: Indeed, standing on the shoulders of a giant allows one to see further. If not for the recipes and techniques brought forth by unsealing the Shennong Cauldron, she wouldn’t have beco an advanced alchemist so quickly.
Of course, this was also inseparable from her own hard work.
"Knock, knock."
A series of knocks interrupted Dugu Qianye’s thoughts. She put away the elixirs, opened the door, and saw Zi Xiao’s devilishly handso face.
"What is it?" Dugu Qianye asked.
"I’m leaving," Zi Xiao said.
"Oh," Dugu Qianye nodded, signaling that she understood.
Dissatisfied with Dugu Qianye’s lack of reaction, Zi Xiao complained, "That’s all the reaction I get?"
Hmm? Dugu Qianye looked at him questioningly and then added, "Goodbye."
Zi Xiao felt like he would be driven mad by Dugu Qianye!
His face darkened, a stark departure from his previous gentle appearance, resplendent like a lofty emperor. Slightly squinting his eyes, he said, "Woman, do you really want to go that much?"
"Is this the real you?" Dugu Qianye glanced at Zi Xiao and said, "You said you were leaving; what does that have to do with ?"
Zi Xiao was at a loss for words because of Dugu Qianye’s blunt response. In the end, he could only say resentfully, "I was thinking... woman, wait for when I’m back!"
Dugu Qianye truly disliked that addressing, stating, "We’re not close."
"Oh?" Zi Xiao looked at Dugu Qianye mischievously, suddenly flashing a seductive smile, "Then let’s get to know each other a little better."
Zi Xiao’s smile was not like his usual breath of spring air, but rather a soul-imrsing charm. Even Dugu Qianye was montarily bewitched. By the ti she ca to her senses, she hadn’t even grasped what Zi Xiao had said when his face suddenly lood closer, followed by a soft brush of lips. Light as a feather, it grazed past her.
Dugu Qianye was so shocked that she forgot to react.
Zi Xiao stepped back, looking at the stunned Dugu Qianye with a satisfied smile, "Woman, wait for !"
After saying that, Zi Xiao laughed heartily as he turned and left.
A long while later, a scream pierced through the Mo Residence, inside and out.
"Ah! Zi Xiao, you haven’t seen the last of !"
Her first kiss of both her lifetis, just like that, Zi Xiao had stolen it!
Although in her previous life she had dated the son of the Great Elder, they seldom t at ho due to her frequent missions, and also because of their difference in status, they had only ever held hands.
Several hundred miles away, a Kylin was swiftly carrying Zi Xiao forward. Sitting on the back of the Kylin, Zi Xiao thought back to Dugu Qianye’s stunned expression and the softness of her lips, a delighted smile curling up the corner of his mouth.
"Master, you seem to be in a very good mood!" the Kylin spoke.
Zi Xiao didn’t say a word, only smiling.
"Sigh, is this idiotic person really my Pledged Master?" thought the Kylin gloomily. Imdiately after, Zi Xiao slapped it hard.
"Ci Hun, you better not have been misleading . If there’s nothing wrong or the matter isn’t that serious, then prepare to be punished," Zi Xiao said wickedly.
"It’s true, we wouldn’t dare to deceive you!" Ci Hun said. He certainly didn’t want to be punished. Every past punishnt involved being confined in the Phantom Beast Space, preventing him from seeing many beauties.
That was truly, truly too cruel!
Several days of travel for Zi Xiao, and it was New Year’s Day.
During these days, Dugu Qianye had been refining seventh grade elixirs. With the supply of herbs from the Refining Demon Pot and knowledge from the Shennong Cauldron, she soon beca proficient in crafting seventh grade elixirs.
On New Year’s Day, heavy snow fell from the sky. Although the weather was very cold, it didn’t affect the Phantom Masters or the Sword Masters much. Phantom Masters could use Phantom Power to stay warm, and Sword Masters naturally had robust physiques.
That day, she wore a long white dress and draped a big red cloak over her shoulders. Delicate features, skin like creamy jade, a well-defined figure, and long, ebony hair effortlessly coiled into a simple bun atop her head, with the rest cascading down to her waist, fluttering enchantingly in the breeze. As she walked, she drew countless admiring glances.
"Bang!"
A man, distracted by gazing at her, collided with the pillar in front of him.
"Wow, is that an angel?"
"When did such a beauty arrive at the Mo Residence?"
"She’s even more beautiful than Feng Xue, the number one beauty in Mors!"
"Your drool’s showing!"
An old lady from the kitchen ca out and slapped a daydreaming man on the back, scolding loudly, "You deadbeat, what are you dawdling for? Hurry up and help out!"
The man waved the hand on his back and said, "Old woman, don’t yell. I’m admiring a beauty here!"
"Good for nothing! How dare you ogle other won behind my back!" scolded the old lady, but as she looked ahead and laid eyes on the beauty, she paused and said, "Hide those lecherous eyes, that’s Miss Qianye!"
"What? Miss Qianye!" exclaid the crowd in astonishnt. On closer look, it indeed was Dugu Qianye.
"Wow, our miss is really beautiful!"
"Miss Qiushui was once the number one beauty in Mors, but I never thought Miss Qianye would surpass her in beauty!"
The dining hall of the Mo Residence had already filled with many people. As everyone had improved their Phantom Power and contracted with Divine Beasts, joy was written all over their faces, and the hall was abuzz. Suddenly, everyone facing the outside fell silent, gazing dreamily at the red figure walking through the snow. Curious, the other patrons turned to see what had caught their attention and were instantly srized.
