Zi Xiao and a few others, being more powerful, protected their eyes well. Upon opening them, they observed Dugu Qianye’s and Yong Xing’s actions. Seeing Yong Xing’s vortex taking shape, they could even feel its suction force.
The corpses closest to Yong Xing were all sucked into the vortex, accompanied by a series of cracking noises as the stones vanished.
Following Zi Xiao, several weaker individuals were also sucked into the vortex, their screams silencing shortly after.
"We can’t get sucked in, everyone band together to form a protective barrier!" Zi Xiao exclaid, and alongside Mang Qianjun and Dugu Qianye’s Spiritual Beast, they conjured a barrier to envelop themselves and Dugu Qianye. Several people who were dragged by the vortex’s pull smacked into the shield and halted.
Seeing this, others hurried to contribute their Spiritual Power into the barrier, and when their Spiritual Power neared depletion, they took several Elixirs provided by Dugu Qianye for restoring Spiritual Power to persist.
The vortex’s suction was indiscriminate. Yong Xing’s undead minions who only knew how to attack and not defend, were all consud by the vortex as it ford. anwhile, the Peacekeeping Team followed Zi Xiao’s lead in creating a large protective shield to withstand the vortex.
"Hahaha, do you think a thin shield can withstand my vortex of death?" Yong Xing roared with laughter, continuing to draw in the Death Qi around him, with those sucked in people and corpses becoming part of the vortex.
"Crack!"
Yong Xing’s side, being significantly weaker than Zi Xiao’s and without the support of Elixirs, began to see their protective barrier crack.

As the suction of the vortex grew stronger, Zi Xiao and their protective barrier started to crack.
"Crack, crack—"
The crack grew larger and larger, and Zi Xiao said to Mang Qianjun beside him, "Hold this place." He then moved above them and aid his spiritual power at the fissure, managing to seal it, but he had to continuously channel spiritual power there to maintain it.
He glanced at the Five Elents Array not far away and noticed the flowing lights rotating faster and faster, knowing that Dugu Qianye was about to succeed. He called out to the people below, "Everyone, hold on a little longer!"

With a wave of her hand, Dugu Qianye made the death vortex dissipate, and the rampant suction force also vanished. She looked at Yong Xing and said, "To enhance your own power, you’ve brought harm to the masses and disregarded the lives of others. Yong Xing, I cannot forgive you."
"Hahaha, you still succeeded, you still succeeded..." Yong Xing saw that Dugu Qianye was obviously different now and knew she had succeeded. After a burst of laughter ca a murmuring whisper, followed by wailing.

"Heh, no matter what, I’ve lost, a case of the victor being the judge and the vanquished the defendant, what more can I say? But if you kill , this world will be destroyed along with , hahahahaha!" Yong Xing laughed uproariously. Yet as he laughed, tears trickled down his cheeks.
Once, he too had called her "sister." Once, she had patted his head, encouraging him. They had once depended on each other, resisting endless emptiness and loneliness. So many beautiful mories of the past, yet he, consud by jealousy and an obsession with power, had resented her, plotted against her, and usurped her position. Now that she had returned, and he had hard so many innocents, they both understood what his fate would be.
Dugu Qianye slowly raised her right hand, slowly clenching it together, and as she did so, Yong Xing and Qiong Qi turned to ashes. Watching Yong Xing disappear into the air, Dugu Qianye closed her eyes and two tears fell.
