Dugu Qianye put away the sign and walked back, saying, "Alright, alright." As he passed by the man, with a swift movent, he took the man into the Refining Demon Pot.
The man originally thought that once Dugu Qianye left, there would be no further pursuit, but unexpectedly, as soon as he lost his attention, his surroundings changed. By the ti he realized sothing was wrong and tried to catch Dugu Qianye, he found he couldn’t move.
"Who are you?"
Dugu Qianye looked at him and said, "Who I am doesn’t matter, what matters is that you are now in my territory."
"Master." Lan i flew over upon hearing Dugu Qianye’s call and, seeing the person fixed in place, exclaid in surprise, "Uncle Jin Wei?!"
Jin Wei, seeing Lan i, asked uncertainly, "You are?"
"Uncle Jin Wei, I am Lan i, Lan Qing’s daughter!" Lan i said as she ca up to him.
"Is it really you?! I slled your scent, but I wasn’t sure, you’re still alive? That’s great! That’s really great!" Jin Wei’s eyes filled with tears as he beheld Lan i.
"Master, this is Uncle Jin Wei, you can release him," Lan i said.
"Dudu." Dugu Qianye called out, and Dudu appeared in her arms. At the sa ti, the spatial restraint on Jin Wei was lifted.
Now free, Jin Wei looked Lan i up and down and then, touching her head, he said, "You’ve grown up so much. You used to be just a Little Phoenix!"
"Uncle Jin Wei, how co you are here? Where’s my mother? And the other uncles and aunts?" Lan i asked anxiously.
Hearing Lan i’s questions, Jin Wei’s face suddenly darkened and he said, "Your mother, she... Ah!" As if he didn’t know how to continue, Jin Wei let out a deep sigh.
Seeing Jin Wei’s reaction, Lan i’s strength drained away from her, but luckily, Xiaohuo was there to support her.
"My mother, is she dead?"
Jin Wei’s expression caused Lan i to feel as if the sky had collapsed and the earth was shattering, as if the question wasn’t even coming from her own mouth.
"No, your mother is not dead," Jin Wei hurriedly said when he saw he had frightened Lan i. "Your mother is just imprisoned, not dead."

"Really?" Xiaohuo asked.
Lan i nodded affirmatively.
"Alright then," Xiaohuo said. "So where is Sister Lan i’s mother?"
"She’s in the forbidden area outside," Jin Wei said. "The entire Blue Phoenix clan is being held there."
"Now that Jin Luan has assud the position of the Phoenix Clan ruler, why didn’t he just kill them all?" Dugu Qianye asked.
"It’s like this. Although many from the Golden Phoenix followed Jin Luan in the rebellion, there was a lot of opposition to killing off the entire Blue Phoenix. "Sister, what do we do now?" Xiaohuo asked Dugu Qianye.
Dugu Qianye thought for a mont and said, "You go back first, tell us how we can contact you, and we’ll reach out when we need you."
Jin Wei, already sensing that Dugu Qianye was Xiaohuo’s Pledged Master, listened to her instructions and, after giving his contact thod, he left.
After sending Jin Wei out of the Refining Demon Pot, Dugu Qianye ca back in.
"Sister, are we going to rescue Sister Lan i’s mother?" Xiaohuo asked.
Dugu Qianye looked at Lan i, who wore an expression of tension and worry, walked over, hugged her, and said, "Don’t worry, we will get them out."
"Thank you, Master," Lan i said as she hugged Dugu Qianye back, deeply moved. She didn’t know about other masters, but she knew she had a good one!
"We need to plan carefully how to handle the next steps. Ideally, we should rescue everyone at once and settle the internal strife within the Phoenix Clan once and for all. And we must find the Evolution Light," Dugu Qianye said.
