Dugu Qianye held Little Baiqiu in her hand and said, "We ca out because Xiaohuo and the others needed to level up. Didn’t you say you’ve evolved? Why do you still seem the sa as before?"
"Who’s the sa? I’m very different now!" Little Baiqiu, hearing Dugu Qianye’s words, waved its little paws in protest.
Dugu Qianye weighed Little Baiqiu in her hand and said, "The size is the sa and the shape hasn’t changed much either. If there is a difference, it’s the weight—it’s gotten heavier!"
"Hahaha..." Everyone was amused by Dugu Qianye’s words.
"That’s not true, I’ve beco powerful, I can beat up the bad guys myself now!" Little Baiqiu continued to protest.
"Oh, Little Baiqiu can beat up bad guys by itself now? It’s not going to stuff its master half to death like last ti, right?" Xiaojiu teased.
"Sly fox, you talk nonsense and I’ll rip your mouth apart!" Little Baiqiu, flustered by Xiaojiu’s words, blurted out Little Cauldron’s nickna, then stopped looking at Xiaojiu and turned its big watery eyes to Dugu Qianye: "Keke, I’m hungry, I’m starving to death, I haven’t eaten in so long!"
Dugu Qianye looked at Little Baiqiu and smiled, saying, "You wait, I’ll make you sothing."
"Keke is so nice! I want to eat lots and lots, I want barbecued at!" Little Baiqiu said excitedly, squinting its eyes into slits.
Dugu Qianye put Little Baiqiu down on the ground, took out a Spirit Fruit and handed it to it, then put a small white bracelet-like ring on its paw, saying, "There’s more when you finish that." After which, she began preparing food with the cooking utensils.
Knowing Little Baiqiu’s appetite, Xiaoyin and the others ca to help. Hao Pengyou looked at the mountain of ingredients and asked, "Junior sister, can it finish all this food?"
"Don’t worry, there will only be too little, never too much." Dugu Qianye said, flipping the barbecued at in her hand.
Hao Pengyou still couldn’t quite believe it—could Little Baiqiu’s palm-sized body really consu so much food?
After climbing down from Dugu Qianye, Little Baiqiu hugged the Spirit Fruit in its hands and started eating. The fruit was devoured in a few bites. Then it took out more Spirit Fruits from the Space Ring, eating them up and tossing the cores into a corner. Soon, there was a pile of fruit cores in the corner, and Hao Pengyou jumped when he saw them, thinking to himself: This little guy can really eat!
Having eaten the Spirit Fruits, Little Baiqiu didn’t seem so hungry anymore, so it started wandering around. Seeing Lan Yue squatting on the ground, it dashed over and climbed onto his shoulder, asking, "What are you looking at?"
Lan Yue took a look at Little Baiqiu’s big eyes, feeling they could compete with his own, and picking it off his shoulder to hold in his hands, said, "I’m watching Xiaoteng bloom!"
Little Baiqiu saw Vine Emperor too, pointed a small paw, and said, "Is that Keke’s plant Spiritual Beast? Its flowers are really pretty. But it looks so uncomfortable."
Lan Yue nodded, "Yes, it’s evolving, but the process is very painful."
"I’ll go help it." Having said that, Little Baiqiu ran down from Lan Yue’s side, went up to Vine Emperor, poked the blooming flowers with a paw, and then laid its hand on one of the vines.
Everyone’s attention was drawn to Little Baiqiu’s words, and except for Dugu Qianye, everybody else gathered around to watch. They saw Little Baiqiu place its paw on the Vine Emperor, close its eyes, and ditate. White specks of light erged from its body, flowing down its paw onto the Vine Emperor. When all the white light entered the Vine Emperor’s body, everyone noticed that the frequency at which it turned red, and green, and blood, decreased; it seed to be in less pain.
Little Baiqiu withdrew its paw, patted the Vine Emperor, and said, "Alright, I can only help you this much, you need to work hard!" After that, it zipped over to Dugu Qianye’s side, tugging on the hem of her dress as it said, "Keke, Keke, I’m even hungrier now. I want to eat, grilled at, grilled at!"
Dugu Qianye picked up Little Baiqiu and placed it on the nearby dining table, saying, "Everything’s ready for you, and the last bit of grilled at will be done soon."
Little Baiqiu, upon seeing a table full of food, exclaid excitedly, "Wow, so much to eat!" Then it took out its little fork and began to eat voraciously yet gracefully.
Hao Pengyou was sure it was his first ti seeing a Spiritual Beast eat with a fork, and also the first ti seeing one eat so elegantly, and with quite a speedy pace at that, half the table’s food disappeared in no ti! The speed of Little Baiqiu slowed down just a tad towards the end, but it still quickly finished the remaining half.
"Oh my God!" Hao Pengyou was deeply stunned by Little Baiqiu’s speed and appetite. If only he could eat like that, perhaps he wouldn’t be called a stick by Dugu Qianye now?!
"Keke, I’m done eating, but I’m still a little hungry," Little Baiqiu said to Dugu Qianye, waving its little fork around.
"Thump!" Upon hearing Little Baiqiu’s words, Hao Pengyou fell onto his bed.
Afterwards, Dugu Qianye made so more food for Little Baiqiu, and after it had eaten, it put away its fork. Then it concentrated white Spiritual Power on its paw, wiped it across its mouth, and the greasy ss was clean again.
"Qiuqiu can really use Spiritual Power on its own now!" exclaid Dugu Qianye, tapping Qiuqiu’s forehead.
"Hehe, I told you so, but you wouldn’t believe ," Little Baiqiu said proudly.
Hao Pengyou looked at Little Baiqiu and muttered, "This is truly a magical Spiritual Beast!"
With Little Baiqiu’s help, the Vine Emperor soon completed its evolution and beca an Emperor Man-Eating Flower. It extended a vine toward Little Baiqiu, blooming a flower and handing it over, saying, "Thank you for your help."
"No need to thank , no need," Little Baiqiu replied, taking the flower from the Vine Emperor, "I’m just glad you’re alright!"
With the Vine Emperor’s evolution complete, everyone prepared to leave. Dugu Qianye retracted the other Spiritual Beasts, leaving only Xiaohuo and Lan i, while Little Baiqiu took a position on Dugu Qianye’s shoulder, commanding, "Forward, march!"
"Let’s go," Xiaohuo led the way inside, followed by Dugu Qianye, with Lan i and Hao Pengyou behind.
The passage was small, but it kept ascending. After walking for several hours, they began to walk on level ground, indicating they were at surface level.
"Sister, the exit is just ahead. I saw it last ti I ca here with Xiaoyin; it looked like a valley," Xiaohuo said. Soon, they reached the exit, located at the foot of a mountain.
Xiaohuo was the first to step out, and Dugu Qianye had just erged when she heard an unfamiliar voice.
"Xiaohuo?"
As Dugu Qianye ca out of the cave, she followed the voice and saw a man in his twenties looking at Xiaohuo with excitent.
