Before she could finish speaking, Xiaohuo’s tears were about to fall again, which scared Dugu Qianye into hastily waving the white flag. "Okay, okay, I’ll lie down for another two days, just don’t cry."

Xiaoyin stealthily giggled behind her paws in the corner of the bed. This was how her master had been overpowered by Xiaohuo and forced to rest these past few days. To deal with her master in the future, don’t be aggressive—a tender approach is best!

"Xiaoyin, don’t think that just because you cover your mouth, I don’t know you’re snickering. Watch how I’ll deal with you!" Dugu Qianye threatened Xiaoyin with gritted teeth.

Xiaoyin scampered off the bed with a ’gulu’ and laughed while running, "Master, let’s wait until you can move before you say that!"

The other beasts laughed heartily at the sight of Dugu Qianye.

Dugu Qianye was pressed down to rest on the bed by the beasts for another three days before she was allowed to get up. She shook her hands, moved her feet, twisted her waist, looking as if she had been locked up for hundreds of years.

After getting enough exercise, she began to sit cross-legged to examine her body. She was taken aback when she looked; even Xiaohuo and the others were frightened by her changing complexion, thinking that she had not fully recovered.

"What’s wrong?" Xiaohuo asked, "Are you still not feeling well?"

"After bonding with you, only my veins were golden, but now even my bones are golden. I’m almost turning into sothing non-human!" Dugu Qianye said. She definitely didn’t want to beco a monster!

"Being bonded with a Phantom Beast would affect you!" Xiaohuo said. "You should first bond with Lan i."

Dugu Qianye nodded. She gathered the other Phantom Beasts into the Refining Demon Pot, and the three of them headed to the center of ngjiao Ridge. Dugu Qianye had Lan i show her true form, then walked over to place her hand on Lan i’s forehead, using the Beast Taming Technique. Although Lan i was a Super Divine Beast, taming her wasn’t too difficult as she had willingly sought a master.

Half an hour later, Dugu Qianye finished the taming process. She dropped her blood onto Lan i’s forehead. Monts later, silver bonding Runes enveloped both beast and human, then shrunk and imprinted on their foreheads before vanishing out of sight.

Next, Dugu Qianye and Lan i were both enveloped by advancent Runes. Dugu Qianye leaped to a level 6 Phantom King, Lan i advanced to a level 2 Super Divine Beast, and Xiaohuo, due to the life bond, advanced to a level 4 Divine Beast.

A voice echoed in her head, "First layer of Shennong Cauldron unlocked." Before Dugu Qianye could react, a torrent of information poured into her mind.

Feeling like her brain was about to burst from the overload of information, Dugu Qianye didn’t have ti to speak to Xiaohuo and the others. She sat down cross-legged to digest the information unlocked by the Shennong Cauldron. It was countless Elixir recipes and their corresponding preparation techniques. It took Dugu Qianye two days to digest just a small portion. The higher-level recipes were suppressed in her mind, waiting for when she would have ti to interpret them later.

"Sister, I’ve advanced again; I’m a level 4 Divine Beast now!" Xiaohuo said excitedly when she saw Dugu Qianye open her eyes.

"Master, I’ve advanced as well," Lan i told Dugu Qianye. "It took more than two hundred years to get from a level 9 Divine Beast to a Super Divine Beast, and now, I’ve leveled up in just one month. It’s truly unbelievable."

Dugu Qianye nodded at them and said, "Let’s go talk to the City Lord and then prepare to head to the Imperial Capital."

Dugu Qianye and Xiaohuo rode on Lan i’s back as she flew them near Feier City before transforming into a human. The three then returned to the city together.

Back at the City Lord’s Mansion, Dugu Qianye went alone to the City Lord’s study. After being announced, she entered.

"Are you getting ready to leave?" the City Lord put down the docunts in his hand and asked.

"Yes. I want to go to the Imperial Capital two days in advance to take a look around. So I specially ca to bid you farewell," Dugu Qianye said.

"Mm, I know you’re short on ti, so I won’t keep you," the City Lord said, "Just rember to drop by if you ever pass through again. And if you need anything, you can always co to , I am after all a City Lord."

"Hehe, certainly. I caused quite a bit of trouble for Feier City this ti, if the City Lord ever needs for anything, just say the word and I’ll be there. I’ll take my leave now," Dugu Qianye said.

The City Lord personally escorted her out of the City Lord’s Mansion, handed her a map of the Mors Empire, and then watched as she departed.

The three of them arrived outside the city, where Lan i transford into its true form, and Dugu Qianye and Xiaohuo sat on its back, speeding northward. Lan i, being a Super Divine Beast, could cover a thousand miles in a blink, truly living up to its na!

"Sister, after arriving in the Imperial Capital, will you go straight to the Mo Family?" Xiaohuo asked.

Dugu Qianye thought for a mont and said, "Not right away, I’m not ready yet. I’ll attend the college enrollnt first."

After all, having been away for so many years, everyone needed a period of adjustnt. A sudden eting could lead to inevitable awkwardness. Besides, she wasn’t truly Dugu Qianye; spiritually speaking, her claim was neither legitimate nor proper.

Dugu Qianye looked ahead, thinking to herself: Imperial Capital, here I co!

On the Xuanyue Continent, there are four superpowers: the Gabina Empire, the Mors Empire, the Glei Empire, and the Cangqiong Empire. The Mors Empire is the largest among the empires in terms of area, but its overall strength is slightly inferior.

Pu City is the Imperial Capital of the Mors Empire, boasting a history of over ten thousand years. The current Pu City spans over a million acres, mainly divided into several major areas: the northern part is ho to the Mors Empire’s Royal Family and nobles, the eastern part hosts various family clans, the southern part is the comrcial district, and the western part is ho to the famous Empire College.

The headquarters of the Mors Empire’s rcenary Guild, Alchemist Guild, Refiners Guild, and Beast Trainer Guild, as well as the headquarters of various comrce associations, are all located in Pu City, making it a city of great importance both in power and economy.

Pu City is ho to six major families: the He Family, the Ye Family, the Feng Family, the Mo Family, the Long Family, and the Jia Family.

Empire College holds a special status in the Mors Empire. Although it is just a college, it has expanded over several generations to occupy nearly one-tenth of Pu City. It gathers the finest teaching teams and abundant educational resources, attracting many to learn there each year. As it has cultivated nurous outstanding talents and countless elites in various fields—even the current monarch was once a student there—Empire College enjoys a lofty existence in Mors and its prestige is unchallenged by anyone!

After leaving Feier City, Dugu Qianye, carried by Lan i and following the map provided by the City Lord, arrived at Pu City, the Imperial Capital of the Mors Empire, on the evening of the second day.

Dugu Qianye, Xiaohuo, and Lan i paid the city entrance fee and entered. They imdiately saw the wide streets, the row upon row of houses on either side, and the bustling crowds coming and going.

"Wow, so this is the Imperial Capital!" Xiaohuo exclaid exaggeratedly, "Sister, this place is so much more lively than anywhere else! So many people!"

"Mm-hmm, it certainly is much more prosperous!" Dugu Qianye also expressed her amazent.

"Master, let’s go find a hotel to settle down first," Lan i suggested after recovering from the initial surprise, having lived for so many years.
