With barely half a month until the new year, the people here had no concept of the celebration, nor did they think of celebrating. But on this day, soone returned and caused a commotion at Dugu Qianye’s place!
Dugu Qianye was flipping through the Array Compendium she had obtained earlier in the courtyard. To rescue her parents sooner, she had to master these formations, or else not only would she fail to save her parents, but their lives would be at risk as well.
Hao Pengyou was sleeping in the room while Zi Xiao brought out sliced fruits for her, using a toothpick he had carved to feed Dugu Qianye. She was now accustod to Zi Xiao and bit into the fruit following his hand.
"Engaging in such acts under the light of day, truly shaless," a crisp female voice ca from outside the courtyard. Dugu Qianye and Zi Xiao looked over to see a woman in a purple gauze skirt standing outside, her gaze filled with contempt and disdain when she looked at Dugu Qianye.
"Who are you?" Zi Xiao asked with a frown.
When the woman saw Zi Xiao speak to her, she blushed with a shy smile, saying, "I am the daughter of his second uncle, nad Dugu Qianlan. May I ask how should I address this gentleman?"
Zi Xiao couldn’t be bothered to answer and just picked another fruit to feed Dugu Qianye. After she took a bite, she turned to look at Dugu Qianlan, saying, "So you are the daughter of my second uncle. What brings you here, sister?"
Qianlan, Qianlan, such a na she couldn’t bring herself to like!
Dugu Qianlan, feeling disgruntled that Zi Xiao ignored her, grew even more annoyed seeing him feed Dugu Qianye fruits. Lately, Dugu Qianye had been busy concocting different dicinal als for Feng Sani and others, studying the Array Compendium, cultivating her Spiritual Power, and so her days were very busy. Zi Xiao would find Spirit Fruit for her in the Refining Demon Pot and prepare them for her when she had ti.
Zi Xiao was referring to this kind of tiredness, but when Dugu Qianlan heard it, she interpreted it as the two of them exhausting themselves in bed every day. The thought of eting such a handso man in true intimacy made her cheeks burn with a blush unconsciously.
Zi Xiao glanced at Dugu Qianlan and saw right through her thoughts, his gaze filling with even more disgust.
Dugu Qianye, noticing Dugu Qianlan’s red face, asked in confusion, "Sister, why is your face red?"

"He’s my fiancé," Dugu Qianye said, seeing Dugu Qianlan’s infatuated gaze land on Zi Xiao and feeling very uncomfortable, as if declaring her ownership.
Zi Xiao looked at Dugu Qianye and, hearing her personally call him her fiancé, couldn’t suppress the smile on his lips. Dugu Qianlan watched them, her eyes filled with little hearts.
