Zi Xiao dusted off the hem of their robe, casting a contemptuous glance, and said somberly, "I don’t care who you are, but I know who you’ll beco if you don’t scram."
"Who?"
"Song Wuzi!" Having said this, a blast of spiritual power was thrown at him, aid certainly at the place that would end his chances of fatherhood.
"Argh..." Song Wuzi was thrown to the ground once more, then curled up, clutching his groin and howling in pain.
"You, you actually struck Divine Guard Captain!" the village chief said in disbelief, staring at Zi Xiao. When he caught Zi Xiao’s sharp gaze, he almost collapsed in fright.
"It’s him I hit! Daring to steal my woman, he can say goodbye to his manhood forever!" Zi Xiao’s words floated out lightly, yet they terrified everyone present.
"You, you just wait, the Divine Temple won’t let you off!" said the village chief, as he ran over to help the still howling Song Wuzi away.
"I’ll wait." Zi Xiao watched their retreating backs and, with a reined-in aura, turned to Dugu Qianye, asking with a grin, "Little Yeye, was the way I handled it just now okay?"
Dugu Qianye nodded, saying, "Not bad."
"How domineering!" exclaid Hao Pengyou. "I never expected you to have a manly side."
"Whether I’m manly or not, no one knows except for Little Yeye. So, it’s normal that you don’t know," said Zi Xiao.
Dugu Qianye instantly sported a face full of dark lines...
After the village chief and Song Wuzi left, Zhou Hai’s wife helped him over and said, "Thank you! You should hurry and leave now while the Divine Temple’s people haven’t arrived yet, otherwise it will be too late."
Coming before Zhou Hai, Dugu Qianye fed him an elixir and said, "Brother Zhou, we certainly can leave without further involvent, but what about you all?"
Zhou Hai and his wife exchanged a look, then said, "We’ll leave too. After all, we haven’t lived here for many years, so it’s not hard to just move sowhere else."
Huh? Weren’t they locals? But considering the temperant of Zhou Hai’s wife, it wasn’t typical for a rural villager. Yet, if they didn’t elaborate, neither did she inquire further.
"That’s better, having caught the Divine Temple’s attention, it’s no longer safe for you to stay here," Hao Pengyou said. "But we’ve got to finish the full fish banquet before we go, right? Such a delicious al shouldn’t be wasted."
Dugu Qianye nodded, "Since it’s co to this, let’s go finish the al first."
Zhou Hai’s injuries were not severe, so everyone returned to continue their al. They had thought that even if Song Wuzi went for reinforcents, it would take a day, so they could take their ti to eat and then leave at leisure. However, before they could finish their al, the people from the Divine Temple arrived.
As it turned out, the Divine Temple beca aware that Song Wuzi had personally co to fetch Zhou Hai’s wife, and the entire Divine Guard Team ca to watch. Little did they know, just as they arrived, they saw the village chief helping the injured Song Wuzi back.
Upon learning that Song Wuzi had been incapacitated, the people from the Divine Temple clamored for revenge. Song Wuzi usually led them to bully others, so naturally, they wanted to capture the perpetrator and bring them back to the Hall Master as a way to report.
Consequently, a crowd surged into Zhou Hai’s household.
The al being interrupted twice stoked Dugu Qianye’s ire; she stord outside to confront the encircling Divine Temple disciples, saying, "Are you so eager to seek death? Those who don’t want to die, get lost!"
When the Divine Temple disciples saw Dugu Qianye, their eyes widened. Hearing her curse at them, they didn’t get angry but instead burst into laughter, saying, "This woman is sothing else, looking like a goddess, and with such a fiery temper! Imagine the ecstasy of having her beneath you..."
"Bang!" Before that person could finish speaking, they were sent off to the heavens by three bursts of spiritual power.
The fastest of the bursts was unsurprisingly from Zi Xiao, the second ca directly from Dugu Qianye, and the third was sent forth by Hao Pengyou.
"Damn it, you’ve got balls hitting on your aunt while your grandpa is here?!" Hao Pengyou said furiously. He had simply indulged in a few extra bites in his gluttony, and when he ca out, he heard such words, angering him to the point of launching an attack that sealed the offender’s mouth forever.
"You dare attack us?!" Seeing this, the others promptly summoned their treasures, brandishing their weapons, ready for battle.
"Just perfect, your aunt is in a bad mood, so let’s play! I need to finish this quickly; I still have to go back for fish!" After Dugu Qianye finished speaking, she stepped forward with the Ethereal Step Technique, channeled the Formless Divine Skill in her hands, and rushed towards them.
Zhou Hai and the others saw only a shadow moving through the ranks of the Divine Guard Team, followed by the swishing sound of swift movents. By the ti Dugu Qianye stood in front of them again, all of the Divine Guard Team mbers outside had fallen, each with their throats slit—a fatal blow—and not a drop of blood had splattered upon Dugu Qianye’s dagger.
Dugu Qianye sheathed her dagger, threw out a burst of flas that incinerated the corpses outside completely clean. When she turned around, she saw everyone staring, dumbfounded. The looks they gave the female killing god caused her to cough awkwardly.
"Wow, Junior Sister, so dominant!" Hao Pengyou exclaid exaggeratedly.
The wife from the Zhou family said with a smile, "Girl, you’re amazing!"
"Sister-in-law is joking." Dugu Qianye responded.
"Hehe, my na is Mo Qiuhua; you can call Sister Mo," the wife from the Zhou family said.
"Mo Qiuhua?" Dugu Qianye inquired.
"Yes, have you heard of it?" Mo Qiuhua asked. "Our nas were once very well-known around here because many people were looking for us for money. It wouldn’t be strange if you had heard about it."
Dugu Qianye shook her head, "I haven’t heard of it. It’s just that my mother’s na is Mo Qiushui, which sounds a bit similar to yours."
Mo Qiuhua smiled and said, "Our generation all have ’Qiū’ in our nas, so there are many similarities."
"My mother is from the Mo Family on Xuanyue Continent. Maybe our ancestors share a bloodline." Dugu Qianye said.
"Xuanyue Continent?" Mo Qiuhua pondered, "When I left the family, I was quite young and didn’t know much about the conflicts with other families."
"You’re the Miss Mo Qiuhua from that first-rate Mo Family?" Hao Pengyou asked.
Mo Qiuhua nodded, "You know of ?"
"Back then, your family’s affairs caused quite a stir. I happened to be in Yuling Continent and heard so things," Hao Pengyou said.
"What happened that even you, half a bucket of water, know about?" Dugu Qianye inquired.
Mo Qiuhua said, "It’s nothing much. When I went out traveling, I t your Brother Zhou, and later, to be with him, I firmly broke off an arranged marriage with the Nangong Family and then eloped with him. Back then, the Mo Family and Nangong Family sought many forces to help but failed to find us."
"Sister Mo, you and my mother are so alike! My mother also t my father when she was out for training and broke off another’s engagent to elope with my dad," Dugu Qianye said.
