"This is bad, it’s Love Blossom Fruit! There are ripe Love Blossom Fruits nearby!" Dugu Qianye suddenly said in a rush, getting to her feet and looking around. Eventually, in the middle of a connected forest, she saw a large swath of fiery red fruits.
"They are indeed Love Blossom Fruits. Everyone, we need to leave quickly," Dugu Qianye said to the butler.
"What’s that? We’re all so tired, and we finally find a place to rest, and you just want us to leave?" a man with a beard said discontentedly.
"Kid, you should just go and rest on the side. Ha ha!" a few older n joined in jeeringly.
"Tell , what is this exactly?" the young master of the Liu Family asked an elegantly dressed old man beside him.
"This is indeed the Love Blossom Fruit. Mature Love Blossom Fruits give off a faint fragrance that attracts nearby phantom beasts. Those lower than divine beasts simply can’t resist its scent. Moreover, it’s an aphrodisiac for phantom beasts," explained the alchemist accompanying the Liu Family. "Young masters and ladies, we should really leave quickly."
Upon hearing what the alchemist said, everyone stood up and started to prepare to leave. Dugu Qianye, however, stood still.
ng Sanniang and the others turned to look at Dugu Qianye. She pulled the elder to her side and, pulling out a longsword, said, "It’s too late."
Several Phantom Kings also stared seriously at the surrounding forest.
A grey wolf appeared in the line of sight of the people, followed by a pack of grey wolves, cheetahs, boars, and even a bunch of moles. In less than the ti it takes to brew a cup of tea, over a hundred wild animals had surrounded the crowd and the Love Blossom Fruits behind the trees. Every one of the animals was snorting loudly and baring its teeth at the crowd.
So of the more timid rcenaries had already turned pale with fear. Dugu Qianye, too, was wearing a grave expression. She glanced around and noticed that most were spiritual beasts, with only a small fraction being holy beasts, with the highest level around six or seven.
Thankfully, the beasts’ levels were not very high. Of course, that was only in comparison to Dugu Qianye. For the others, such a group of phantom beasts could easily claim their lives.
ng Sanniang and the others looked at the group of beasts and summoned their own phantom beasts. They said to Dugu Qianye, "We’ll take the front; you just handle any that slip through."

The other rcenaries and guards from the Liu Family also summoned their own phantom beasts, which weren’t of high levels either. After the phantom beasts ca out, they too gradually succumbed to the aphrodisiac sll of the Love Blossom Fruits, losing their rationality.
"No good, the contract beasts simply can’t resist the temptation of the Love Blossom Fruits; everyone quickly recall them," shouted one of the Phantom Kings upon noticing the odd behavior of the contract beasts
The contract beasts were then taken back into the Phantom Beast Space. Without the help of the contract beasts, the situation beca even more critical.
The irrational phantom beasts began to attack the crowd, which now had to continuously unleash their Phantom Power in defense. The Love Blossom Fruits kept attracting more phantom beasts and, once their Phantom Power was exhausted, the outco was self-evident.
While protecting the elder, Dugu Qianye swung her longsword, battling the phantom beasts around her. The elder, seeing Dugu Qianye defend him this way, showed a satisfied glimr in his eyes.
"Ah!" ng Sanniang, fighting a one-star holy beast, was bitten on the ankle by a sneak-attacking mole. Dugu Qianye, who was contending with a wild boar, heard ng Sanniang’s cry and hurried over to help.
Seeing that many people had been injured, and the number of phantom beasts was only increasing, Dugu Qianye knew they couldn’t drag this out any longer.
"Xiaoyin, co out," Dugu Qianye summoned.
"Awoo!" Along with Dugu Qianye’s command, a long howl rang out. Xiaoyin’s true form appeared beside Dugu Qianye, a massive Silver Wolf seven to eight ters long and two to three ters tall. With a swipe of its front paws, a fierce gale tore the nearby Phantom Beasts into several pieces. The remaining Phantom Beasts were suppressed by Xiaoyin’s aura and cowered on the ground.
The people who were fighting desperately were startled by the sudden appearance of Xiaoyin, and even more so by the two five-pointed stars above its head.
"Is, is this a Divine Beast?!"
No one expected that the person they thought was the weakest actually had a Divine Beast! However, once the Divine Beast appeared, their pressure was imdiately reduced by half.
Ignoring everyone’s astonished stares, Dugu Qianye commanded, "Xiaoyin, quick battle, quick decision."
Xiaoyin nodded toward Dugu Qianye and charged into the fray of beasts. The disparity in levels left them with no ability to resist, and they were slain by Xiaoyin as effortlessly as slicing waterlons. In no ti, a pile of Phantom Beast corpses had accumulated in front of everyone.
This was the gap in strength!
While everyone was distracted, Dugu Qianye slipped behind a large tree to harvest the Love Blossom Fruits and threw them into her Space Ring. Then, she transplanted so Love Blossom Fruit saplings into the Refining Demon Pot.
Seeing that Xiaoyin had dealt with the crazed Phantom Beasts, Dugu Qianye said to ng Sanniang, "You go and collect the corpses." Seeing ng Sanniang wanting to say sothing, she added, "Collect them first, we’ll talk after we leave this place."
Knowing that the area was not safe, ng Sanniang and the others started to gather the Phantom Beast corpses into their space devices. More than a hundred bodies filled their rings to the brim.
With Xiaoyin releasing its Divine Beast aura, they left the area of the incident. Since many were injured, they decided to camp early for the day.
After setting up the camp, Xiaoyin transford back and jumped into Dugu Qianye’s arms. Dugu Qianye, holding Xiaoyin, ca to the old man’s tent.
"Grandpa, how are you feeling now, any injuries?" Although she tried her best to protect him, in the chaos that ensued, accidents could have happened.

Xiaoyin, in Dugu Qianye’s embrace, bared its teeth at the old man, but in its current form, the gesture carried no threat.
Dugu Qianye paid no heed to the bickering between the old man and Xiaoyin, noticing that he was quite spirited and probably not injured. After chatting with him for a few monts, she planned to leave, but was stopped by the old man just as she was about to go.
"My dear grandson, tell grandpa your na, would you?"
Hearing the old man’s words, Dugu Qianye was startled, turned around, and saw the old man looking shrewd.
"Baili Xie, you know it, right?" Dugu Qianye feigned confusion.
"Not that one, I an your real na." The old man shook his head.
"How do you know that’s not my real na?" Dugu Qianye asked, looking at the old man.
"Being as clever as I am, of course, I would know. With such a high level of Phantom Power and a Divine Beast at a young age, who else could be so impressive aside from a scion of a great family?" The old man said disdainfully, "I know pretty much all the noteworthy young ones; those not worth ntioning, I don’t bother with. But you, I really can’t figure out. Just tell grandpa, won’t you!"
