"I an…" Shangguan Hou glanced at Shangguan Tong ambiguously. All he could see was a death stare coming from Shangguan Tong warning him to keep his mouth shut.

Shangguan Hou scoffed. "Won are not only stupid, but they are also funny."

For the sake of a man, she did not care if it ant dying. Was she not stupid?

Shangguan Hou did not want to waste ti talking. He raised his hand and gestured to the super assassin beside him.

He had to rendezvous with King, so he had no ti to continue to give more answers to Roo and Juliet over here.

Before long, it was 8:00 pm. At Serene Village, Huo Yao, Min Yu, and the others walked out of the village chief's place and headed into the Forbidden Forest.

The village chief sent them to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest and halted. Although his torchlight was pointed at the forest, its light was unable to penetrate into the forest at close scrutiny.

The light seed completely cut off by sothing.

"I can only send you this far. As for you… take care," said the village chief slowly.

Huo Yao nodded. "Got it. Thanks."

The village chief smiled as he shook his head. He raised his hand and urged them. "Go on then. You don't want to be late."

"Uh huh," acknowledged Huo Yao before she entered the Forbidden Forest containing ancient-style chanisms and formations.

The mont she took a step forward, sothing could be heard, but on close scrutiny, there was nothing.

Huo Yao straightened the loose hair by the side of her face. She had already taken two steps, but she suddenly stopped. She looked at the village chief and asked, "Did you see them enter the forest with your own eyes?"

The village chief paused briefly. He did not expect Huo Yao to ask about this, but he nodded in all honesty.

Huo Yao's eyes turned dark. She stopped probing and continued making her way inside the forest.

Before long, everyone disappeared through the Forbidden Forest entrance and the surroundings reverted to silence.

After entering the forest, all signals got cut off completely.

Zhuo Yun sighed softly. He placed his phone in his pocket. Fortunately, he had already sent Yang Yi a text ssage. At least he was able to send the last ssage instead of losing touch completely.

The Forbidden Forest was far harder to enter than expected. Moreover, it was already nightti. If they were careless, chanisms would get activated. It was equally hard to enter as the underground palace.

Thankfully, Huo Yao would remind them every now and then and they knew how to handle themselves in the wilderness. This way things were still manageable on their way to the Shangguan clan.

They simply took a longer ti.

All in all, they spent nearly three hours walking.

Looking at the grand and classically styled residence before them, Zhuo Yun and Myron's eyes were overwheld by wonder.

Over 100 steps that kept going up could be seen. Statues of ferocious beasts flanked the door staring down at its visitors. Their eyes looked intense and looked scary as they stared down at them.

The main entrance was tightly shut and two lanterns hung from overhead. Even though no candles could be seen, it left a bright red glow in its wake.

One thing was strange about the place. Despite its large size, the sign on the door was empty and no na could be seen on it.

It gave off a mysterious aura… To a degree, it seed as though no one was living here.

They were unable to detect the presence of other people.

"Is this where the Shangguan clan lives?" Min Yu narrowed his eyes looking serious.

"Uh huh." As Huo Yao spoke, she stepped on the first step.

Her back was straight as she went up step by step unhurriedly.

Min Yu looked at Huo Yao from behind. He suddenly rembered what he saw when he combined both pieces of jade secretly. His hands moved slightly before he followed behind her and held her wrist tightly.
