1584 She Was Long Gone
Huo Yao promptly veered her eyes when she saw the voice call from the clan leader. She said calmly, “Your phone’s ringing.”
She was cuing Shangguan Yun to answer the phone.
Shangguan Yun caught the drift and his face instantly collapsed.
He always felt intimidated by the clan leader.

Shangguan Yun finally put down his chopsticks, took the phone, and stood up. He nodded to Huo Yulin as he answered the phone and walked out of the room. “Hi, clan… Aunt Tong.”

Huo Yao caught the look on Huo Yulin’s face. She pondered briefly before she put down her chopsticks and made small talk. “Oh yes. Brother Yulin, do you plan on staying at the academy?”

“Have you found what you wanted?” asked Huo Yao casually.
Huo Yulin’s hands paused briefly. He knew his little sister was always an observant young woman. Even though she did not ask in detail previously, it did not an she did not figure out his intentions.
“No, I haven’t,” replied Huo Yulin.
There was not much information about their human experint subjects at the National Academy of dicine. To be precise, all the related files were encrypted and he did not know where to start.
Huo Yao thought about the file regarding Aunt Tong she found on Huo Yulin’s computer and asked. “Are you looking for research data or sothing?”
“Sothing like that.” Huo Yulin nodded.
Huo Yao took a sip of tea and said, “Brother Yulin, if you need my help, feel free to ask.”
Huo Yulin simply smiled. “Uh huh.”
Before long, Shangguan Yun ca back after ending the call. He looked relieved but confused in comparison to when he picked the call.
Huo Yao raised her brow and glanced at him. “Why the call?”
Shangguan Yun was still in a daze. After so ti, he finally replied. “Nothing… She was just calling out of concern.”
If she had called to scold him, it would have seed normal. Her behavior was clearly strange, so Shangguan Yun could not help feeling uneasy.

Huo Yao did not continue asking and simply said, “Call her when you can.”

First thing in the morning, Huo Yao went to the airport.
“Take care while you’re there. If you need help, call Uncle Changfeng. I told him about your flight details. He’ll be there to pick you up.” Huo Yulin stood at the departure gate as he instructed Huo Yao.
Since he had sothing on his mind, his voice sounded a little solemn.
Huo Yao casually pulled so loose hair behind her ear. She nodded and replied. “Uh huh. Got it. Brother Yulin, you can go back.”
Li Chenhui and the others had already walked over to gather not far from them.
“Alright.” Huo Yulin did not linger.
As he turned to leave, he glanced at the hall before turning to look at his little sister and asked. “Why isn’t Min Yu at the airport to see you off?”
