Huo Yao called Lei Xiao after having breakfast the next day. She had made plans to et up with him at his place and told him to prepare his research data.

Lei Xiao did not disturb her. Instead, he placed the virus sample in the airtight glass receptacle under the analyzer.
The analyzer’s arms moved automatically and scanned the virus in the glass receptacle before transferring the data to the Biological computer nearby.
Huo Yao only spent 10 minutes reading the files. When she was done, she placed the laptop on the table. She glanced at the data appearing on the Biological computer as she walked up beside Lei Xiao and said, “Did you ever investigate the synthetic source?”
Lei Xiao adjusted his mask and turned to look at Huo Yao. “Huh? The synthetic source?”
“Uh huh.” Huo Yao nodded. “The virus keeps synthesizing into new viruses indefinitely, so there is probably so reaction at the bacteria level. If you want to figure out the reason it does so, you need to know exactly what kinds of bacteria are in it.”
