Du Zexin switched to the auxiliary monitor without any hurry, thankful that he had previously commandeered the caras from Mingji Humanity, which conveniently gave him so ti to slack off.

"If that guy really is a cohort of the David Lyn Faction, then he should choose to take out the other Third Rule agents first, to create an opportunity for conversation," he mused.

As expected, he hadn’t been attacked for quite so ti, and the enemy-seeking radar showed that Li Aozi’s position was veering away from this area.

But that wasn’t enough to make him completely trust the other’s identity.

——Imagine, you’re out on a company team-building event in the wilderness and suddenly a savage springs out saying, "Hey, I’m your cousin."

He doesn’t harm you, but instead wipes out all your colleagues. What would you think?

’Even if he is a mber of the sa faction, I can’t let my guard down.’

Du Zexin picked up his Magnum Burst Energy Gun, and began to ponder.

Li Aozi had no intention of killing him, but clearly, it was not the ti for discussions.

The only bla could fall on the fact that neither of them was a Spirit dium or a Shaman; they simply had no way to communicate secretly and build trust.

Besides, as a Quasi-Beta Rank Arcane User, Du Zexin was facing this kind of opponent for the first ti. The first encounter was a learning opportunity, and sparring with him was not without its benefits.

If he could subdue Li Aozi and seize the initiative, that would be perfect.

Beep beep beep——

No sooner had the auxiliary monitor booted up than the radar imdiately began to emit a warning sound of being locked on.

"He’s coming."

Through the footage from the Mingji Humanity caras, Li Aozi was seen approaching quickly, almost skimming the ground with a long sword in hand.

"Bionic muscles charging, strength can reach up to 7.8 tons; in close combat, I actually have the advantage!" he declared.

Ding——

The crisp unsheathing sound rang out like a droplet splashing on a mirror’s surface. Li Aozi slashed horizontally, aiming straight at Du Zexin’s torso.

Even as the back of the blade was used, it was accelerated several tis by gravity and wrapped in a fierce, ghostly killing intent, overwhelming!

Crack——

Du Zexin lifted his left hand, the palm splitting open to reveal a firing port, sending a surge of electricity through the air. The bionic muscles charged and swelled in an instant, pushing straight out towards the back of Li Aozi’s blade.

Bang clang!

The solid impact sound was like a bomb going off, the shockwave sweeping across the ground, lifting Li Aozi’s coat as well as causing Du Zexin to stagger slightly.

In the blink of an eye, their figures collided once more, a brief exchange, and Du Zexin raised his hand, part of the Magnum gun’s bullet sliding out as a bayonet, clashing repeatedly with the long sword, sparks flying.

The long sword whirled up and down, resembling a butterfly flitting between flowers, Li Aozi delivered horizontal and vertical slashes continuously, which Du Zexin blocked with ease. Suddenly, Li Aozi kicked out, striking Du Zexin’s chest with gravity-enhanced force, pushing him off balance.

Imdiately following, a dazzling white blade descended from above, eting a thunderous strike. The artificial intelligence reacted faster than he did, raising the left arm shield in defence.

Whoosh——

But there was a glitch in the computer.

The long sword brushed against the grain of the shield effortlessly, just as if ’saring’ its way over easily.

——It turned out to be a feint.

The blade followed the curvature of the shield, skewing at his ribs unexpectedly and tearing open a stark gap along the seams of the armored suit.

Slice—ding—

Du Zexin tensed, the blade reeking of death nearly etching an indelible mark on his ribs.

"Even for a Quasi-Beta Rank—this swordsmanship is way too outrageous!" he exclaid.

His attacks had a casual appearance, but were expertly executed, like a torrential storm. Quite soon, Du Zexin found that his assisting computer’s learning and analytical speed couldn’t keep up with the frequency of his opponent’s attacks.

"Don’t let your eyes wander."

With heavy gravity, Li Aozi brought down his sword like a war hamr on the ground—seemingly hitting nothing—but followed by kicking up fragnts of cent and floor tiles, which obscured Du Zexin’s vision. Dragging his long sword, Li Aozi lunged forward, faking a shoulder ram and activating Iterative Movent to move swiftly to Du Zexin’s blind spot, lifting the blade in a swift diagonal slash.

Clang——

Du Zexin’s shoulder armor was knocked away, revealing the electronic muscles underneath. As a Beta Rank chanic, his reactions were quite sensitive with the AI’s assistance. He imdiately twisted his body and activated the armored suit’s combat system.

[Peak Mont Military]

All the micro thrusters on his body activated, and his figure moved at an accelerated pace, leaving a trail of afterimages in the space around him.

As a chanic, with military-grade enhancents, he had an advantage over the common Martial Artists, and the efficacy was sowhat better.

The ongoing combat engagent roused Du Zexin’s enthusiasm. He distinctly felt that his adversary was no ordinary Transcendent.

Exquisite swordsmanship, a beast-like combat awareness, coupled with that field-type Arcane Energy—if it weren’t for the modern anti-gravity system recently added to the [Beautiful Wish BETA], he would have been crushed in a direct encounter.

Moreover, since before, he had been counting: white light, explosions, force fields, accelerated movent—a single human possessing so many types of Arcane Energy was virtually unheard of.

"However, re acceleration type Arcane Energy, modern technology has long been able to replace that!" Du Zexin declared.

Just as Du Zexin was raising his Magnum Burst Energy Gun, a whisper from Li Aozi suddenly reached his ear:

"Is that so?" Li Aozi responded calmly and leisurely.

Iterative Movent could reach up to one-third the speed of light at its peak, and initial mobility for a chanic solely depended on rocket thrusters and special enhancents.

That sort of thod, should it reach four to five tis the speed of sound, would be considered a blessing.

Du Zexin pupils constricted, and he quickly ducked, curling his body as the blade swept past his helt.

[Peak Mont—

Bang!

Li Aozi swiped his sword, performing a fake move, drawing out Du Zexin’s arm in defense which left him wide open.

The blade made a sharp turn downward and struck Du Zexin’s belt buckle precisely, with a snap and a burst sound, smoke swirling around.

"I know you’re in a hurry, but listen to , don’t be hasty just yet."

Li Aozi chuckled as he lifted the blade, and gravity compression instantly descended.

With the anti-gravity device destroyed, the terrifying aspect of gravity was imdiately revealed. Even with a hierarchy advantage, Li Aozi’s attributes were too high; under thirteen tis the gravity, Du Zexin couldn’t lift his arms at all.

Unlike the Biochemist, the chanic didn’t have such a robust constitution, and the heavy tal armor was imdiately crushed by its own weight under high gravity.

The life support system imdiately increased pressure to the legs to push Du Zexin’s blood back to his head, but this only just managed to keep him alive.

[Warning! Life signs weakening! Life signs weakening!]

Blood vessels burst allowing blood and accumulated water to enter the lungs. Du Zexin’s pupils constricted sharply, and a mouthful of blood sprayed onto the display screen inside his helt.

The machine hadn’t been damaged, but the chanic wielding it couldn’t withstand that kind of pressure and had fainted.

"I really don’t know which chanic started this bad trend. These wire pullers are clearly Mages, with such a fragile constitution, yet they always want to get into close combat."

Li Aozi was baffled.

He didn’t understand why, as a chanic dressed in armored suit and at least two ters tall, Du Zexin would want to compete in reaction speed with him, a lightly-equipped Mutant.

Li Aozi guessed that ibei might have thought his own strength was significant and that, once armored, he would win in close combat with just a touch on Li Aozi.

That could only an that ibei was genuinely unlucky, as gravity arcane energy ignored armor.

[Target has fainted]

Once the anti-gravity system was destroyed, it was not yet clear who would run out of health first between Li Aozi and ibei.

Li Aozi touched his chin pondering. To be honest, ibei was really unlucky to have encountered such an arcane energy.

Had he faced any other Oga-level arcane energy... he might not have lost that fast.

"But it’s fine, the Beta-level mission difficulty isn’t high. Now I just need to interrogate him, and it’ll all be over."

Li Aozi symbolically disard ibei. They would have to have a good talk later. The recent fight was a good thing; at least during the upcoming conversation, he would have the upper hand.

He then took out two packs of compressed biscuits and, with a wave of his hand, used gravity to drag over the chained Doctor Anna.

Facing the fallen Du Zexin and the [Beautiful Wish] armor, Doctor Anna’s gaze beca stunned.

The once-invincible Third Rule Agents, the always powerful and mysterious Frost Plated chanism... now it was out of action, fallen to the ground, unconscious.

How could such a Beta-ranked strong person be so weak?

As an ordinary person, although Anna didn’t understand the gap between Transcendent beings, she had heard about the deterrence of a Beta-ranked strong person.

Li Aozi ate his food to replenish his arcane energy while cheerfully watching the collapse and confusion on Doctor Anna’s face.

"Long-ti no see, Doctor Anna," Li Aozi said leisurely, "miss ? It’s a pity, I didn’t die in the Outer World, nor in the hands of your Ersha Armant."

"Li Aozi..."

Doctor Anna ca to her senses and quickly said:

"It’s all a misunderstanding, you suddenly ca to the Mingji Humanity and began slaughtering, triggering the Ersha Armant’s automatic security system and—"

Qiu Ran and Jian slowly walked out of their cover, seeing that this side was interrogating Doctor Anna, they quickly approached.

"Really? So, Nomi’s death was also a misunderstanding?"

Li Aozi bent down, unlocked her chains, picked up her palm, and asked gently.

Doctor Anna averted her gaze for a mont, confused:

"Nomi? I don’t know who that is, this is all a misunderstanding—ahhhhh!"

Thunk!

Before Doctor Anna could finish speaking, Li Aozi suddenly broke one of her fingers. The intense pain made Doctor Anna scream out:

"Stop! Stop—my finger, my hand—"

"I’m a person of double standards, Doctor Anna. Don’t—you can only lie to , you’re not allowed to lie to ."

Li Aozi stepped on the back of Doctor Anna’s hand to prevent her from escaping, then continued in a light-hearted tone:

"Why won’t you admit it, if you killed, then you killed. I even blew up planets in my last life."

"I—"

Doctor Anna’s eyes flashed with a hint of red and black, her hateful gaze quickly disappeared as she turned her head away, unable to et Li Aozi’s eyes.

"Enough, Li Aozi. Let talk to her,"

"You sure?"

"After all, I’ve done work for her..."

Doctor Anna tried to say sothing else, but Qiu Ran walked up, crouched down, helped her up, and said in a deep voice:

"Are you okay, Doctor Anna?"

"How can I be okay like this..."

Doctor Anna was in unbearable pain as Li Aozi continued to grind his boot against her hand, crushing her bones gradually, causing her agonizing pain, her voice filled with violent fluctuations, her body convulsing.

"Is that so?" Qiu Ran’s eyes turned red and black: "You asked to help Li Aozi, do you rember who I am?"

"You..." With tears in her eyes, Anna glanced at her, her pain and tears blurring her vision, hurting so much that she couldn’t fabricate lies:

"I don’t know, there are so many Ersha Infected Individuals, I forgot—"

Whack!

Qiu Ran punched Doctor Anna’s face fiercely, the burning fist searing the unscarred half of her face.
