Chapter 484: Chapter 281 He is the Best Mr. Chen Cheng in the World

The initial talks on the equity swap were held at the headquarters of the Sanyo Group.

Chen Cheng had seen his fair share of grand scenes.

Beijing’s CGG, Red Mountain, and LinkedIn, i Xiang’s Xingye Products, weren’t all these industry leaders?

But standing in front of the headquarters of the Sanyo Group, he still felt a tremor of shock.

It wasn’t that the building itself was overwhelmingly opulent—it was even sowhat understated, its grey granite façade reflecting a stern light in the sunlight, its simple lines sketching a calm and restrained temperant.

What truly shocked was the intangible oppression, a thick sense of historical weight and powerful strength accumulated over a century, silently declaring its status.

Upon entering the building, this feeling intensified.

The spacious and bright lobby, the minimalist decor, every detail exuded sophistication and ticulousness.

A faint scent of sandalwood lingered in the air, quiet and solemn, subconsciously making one tread lightly and lower their voice.

The one to receive them was not Xiao Nai, but a middle-aged man dressed in a dark suit, his hair ticulously grood.

He was polite yet with a barely perceptible sense of distance.

“President Xingye, Mr. Chen, this way, please.”

He led the two through a long corridor, the walls on either side adorned with black and white photos representing various developntal stages of the Sanyo Group, silently recounting the family’s glorious history.

The conference room was located on the top floor, affording a view that overlooked the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.

Outside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, skyscrapers stood densely, with bustling traffic, like a miniaturized steel forest.

Sanji Kintaro was already waiting there, dressed in a sharp suit, his expression solemn.

Besides him, there were several other n in suits and leather shoes in the room; they were likely the senior managent of the Sanyo Group.

“President Xingye, welco to the Sanyo Group,” Sanji Kintaro, maintaining his deanor, rose to greet them.

i Xiang walked up with Chen Cheng, “Mr. Kentarou, thank you for taking ti out to et with us today.”

Kentarou smiled and waved his hand, “Xiao Nai told about it last night. As your uncle and a good friend of Osuke, it is only right for Sanyo to offer you help at this ti.”

After indicating for them to sit down, his gaze fell on Chen Cheng, “This must be Mr. Chen Cheng from Beijing?”

i Xiang nodded, “Mr. Chen is our second-largest shareholder at Xingye Products and also my… boyfriend.”

Kentarou gave a slight smile and Chen Cheng nodded in response.

Then, the preliminary discussions officially began.

i Xiang went straight to the point, “Mr. Kentarou, I hope to conduct an equity swap with your company, so that the operation and oversight of Xingye Products can be transferred to you.”

“President Xingye, I am curious, what prompted you to make this decision? Xingye Products has always been very stable.”

i Xiang earnestly said, “So personal factors influenced my decision. I believe your company is capable of managing Xingye Products better, benefiting more employees and custors.”

Saying so, she took out two thick docunts from her bag, “These are the financial statents and asset appraisal reports of Xingye Products, please take a look.”

Kentarou did not check them personally, but handed them over to the other three present.

Upon receiving the docunts, those three employees started to flip through them, and the rustling sound of pages turning reached Chen Cheng’s ears.

anwhile, Kentarou continued to chat with i Xiang, “Honestly, I have been keeping an eye on your Xingye Products.”

He paused, “The debt ratio of Xingye Products is not low, if you propose a swap at this ti, the price, unfortunately, may not be at a good position.”

In business, it seems that preliminary interactions and relationships don’t count as much in the face of real interests.

i Xiang also knew that the debt ratio of Xingye Products was linked to the Brazilian Mine; she calmly said, “So, what I am swapping this ti is the operation in Japan, which is profitable.”

She pointed to the docunts that were being examined.

Kentarou’s face showed no change in expression, he then asked, “How much are you thinking?”

“I hope to swap 74.6% of Xingye Products’ shares for a 2.7% share of Sanyo Group,” i Xiang stated her price.

Sanji Kintaro crossed his arms, “i Xiang, I’m afraid that ratio might…”

He paused for a mont, “As I just ntioned, while I am happy you ca forward with the proposal, the price cannot be calculated at market rate.”

i Xiang pursed her lips; she had thought that based on the relationship between the two families and her own frank approach, the uncle before her would accept this condition; but now, it seems, she was still naïve.

Chen Cheng had been quietly sitting aside, observing the situation.

He knew that in such a setting, as an “outsider,” it was inappropriate to speak too soon, especially under the delicate relationship between i Xiang and Xiao Nai’s father.

But seeing i Xiang seeming sowhat overwheld, he gently coughed and spoke, “President Sanyo, I understand your concerns.”

i Xiang looked towards the man she relied on.

“Xingye Products’ current debt ratio is indeed high, but that’s mainly due to the investnt in the Brazilian mining project. The equity swap we’re proposing now only involves Xingye Products’ operations in Japan, which has always maintained a healthy profit.”

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the three executives inspecting the docunts,

“The authenticity of these reports can be guaranteed by Xingye Products. You may also have a third party audit institution review them.”

“The stable clientele, mature sales channels, and experienced managent team of Xingye Products in Japan are valuable intangible assets that cannot simply be quantified by financial data.”
