Chapter 100: Chapter 100: The Ancestor Looks for Clues
Jiangli rembered that Zhang ijuan had said her husband died in a car accident three days ago.
Three days.
Not yet ti to fetch the soul.
After seven days of death, a person leaves the yang world and moves on to where they’re ant to go.
Normally, in the first three days, they linger around the place of death, beside their body, or where their attachnts were the strongest.
Here, this must be where Qiang Hongtao t his death.
It was normal for him to appear here.
“Abbot, do you think we can find any clues here?” Zhang ijuan didn’t know what Jiangli had seen, looking around, she seed sowhat anxious.
She had been to this place many tis over these past few days, searching for a long ti, but had never found any clues or witnesses.
And she thought it made sense.
If there were any clues or witnesses to be found, the police would have found them long ago, how could it be her turn?
But she just couldn’t let go.
“He’s right here,” Jiangli suddenly ca out with a sentence out of the blue.
Zhang ijuan quickly looked around left and right, “Where? Is it, the driver who caused the accident?”
“No.”
Jiangli hadn’t finished speaking before she took a step and walked forward.
Zhang ijuan was puzzled, she looked at the passing people but really couldn’t spot anyone suspicious.
Seeing Jiangli walking farther away, Zhang ijuan hurriedly followed and asked anxiously, “Abbot, who did you an by ‘he’s right here’? Where is he? Really?”
To her series of questions, Jiangli proceeded as if she didn’t hear, walking straight across the street.
Zhang ijuan, confused, had no choice but to follow.
Once they reached the opposite sidewalk, Jiangli looked at that ‘person’.
“What are you looking for?”
“I, I’m looking for the gift I bought for my wife—”
The other party answered indistinctly with his head lowered.
The next second, as if realizing sothing, he suddenly raised his head and looked at Jiangli.
Just as he was about to ask sothing, he caught sight of Zhang ijuan standing beside Jiangli.
“ijuan!”
There was an imdiate outpouring of joy in his eyes, he rushed towards Zhang ijuan brimming with elation.
Zhang ijuan, knowing nothing, simply stood there watching.
Suddenly, she felt a wave of moist air and cold wind blowing towards her face.
But for so reason, that breath felt strangely familiar; she stood there and forgot to move.
Jiangli watched them.
She saw Qiang Hongtao rush over and pass directly through Zhang ijuan’s body.
Montum made him stumble, nearly falling to the ground.
He turned around in a daze, looking at Zhang ijuan’s back, eyes reddening, as his body began to be engulfed in layers of dark mist.
That was Evil Qi.
Jiangli’s expression darkened, and she flicked a Talisman from the tip of her finger, hitting Qiang Hongtao.
Zhang ijuan saw her suddenly take action and was taken aback, just as she was about to ask what happened.
At that mont, Jiangli also raised her hand, took out a Talisman, and affixed it to Zhang ijuan.
Zhang ijuan imdiately felt a jolt throughout her body, as if she had been sharply poked.
It was uncomfortable.
She instinctively touched her forehead and before she could lift her head, she heard a familiar voice whispering with a choke.
“ijuan—”
Zhang ijuan shivered violently, turned her head around sharply, and saw soone standing behind her.
Soone whom she had been longing for night and day, the person she wanted to see the most.
“Husband!”
Zhang ijuan was overwheld with emotion and burst into tears as she lunged forward.
Jiangli grabbed her with one hand.
Zhang ijuan was frantic, “Abbot, you…”
“He’s a ghost now, not human,” Jiangli said, looking into her eyes. “He’s dead, you know that.”
Zhang ijuan’s face, which had been suffused with joy, suddenly stiffened, then faded away.
Her gaze drifted blankly away from Jiangli and settled on Qiang Hongtao.
It was then that she noticed Qiang Hongtao’s body was semi-transparent.
Zhang ijuan’s tears gushed out in an instant, “Husband…”
