Silas’s POV
I was shocked. What happened all of a sudden? Why did Damon do this? I was prepared for this shoot—I had morized everything, and now they were telling that it was canceled, that soone else was replacing . If they were going to give the role to soone else, why bother calling here in the first place?
Nekol looked just as disappointed, but I was beyond frustrated and angry. I couldn’t even put it into words. As I looked around, I saw the makeup artists standing there, listening to our conversation. They had worked hard on my makeup, but now all their efforts were wasted.
But what could I do? I couldn’t go against the company or Damon. So, I simply changed my clothes, removed my makeup, and grabbed my bag.
As we left, the crew mbers and those four idols watched us, but none of them asked what had happened. That ant they already knew soone else had been assigned in my place. Funny, isn’t it? The entire situation changed in just 20 minutes.
As we stepped outside, I noticed a car parked near the entrance. The door opened, and guess who stepped out? Ciel. Dressed in black, wearing sunglasses, exuding his usual arrogance. He stepped down from the car and glanced at us, as if he had been waiting for us to co out. But why was he here? Just seeing his face irritated and angered .
I grabbed Nekol’s hand. "Let’s leave. I don’t want to talk to any b*tch."
"Okay," Nekol agreed, and we were about to head towards his car when suddenly, Ciel approached us.
"Silas, why are you leaving? Didn’t you have a shoot here? Or... is it already done?" His sugarcoated tone made my blood boil. I wanted to strangle him, but I held myself back.
"What are you doing here, Ciel?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
He smirked. "Funny that you ask, considering I’m the one replacing you in the shoot. I thought you already knew. They replaced you because of . They know I’m much better than you."
Wait—what?! Damon canceled my shoot to give it to this b*tch? My blood was boiling. I didn’t know how he convinced Damon, but... didn’t Damon already know how much I hated Ciel? So why would he do this?
I was lost in thought when I heard Ciel’s voice again.
"What’s wrong, Silas? Still in shock? Well, what can I say? When I asked Damon to give this role, he imdiately assigned it to . I think he’s already fallen for ."
I scoffed. "Damon? Fallen for you? Those words don’t sound right coming from your mouth. Did you forget? You already have a mate. His na is Zarek."
As soon as I ntioned Zarek, Ciel’s expression changed. He glanced around, checking if anyone else was listening to our conversation. But there was no one around—just , Nekol, and him.
"Silas, I know you still like Zarek. That’s why you followed into the entertainnt industry. After all these years, you never once ntioned wanting to be an actor," he said smugly.
I clenched my fists. "It would be best if you minded your own business. If you keep sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong, I’ll ruin you completely. And don’t bla later for not showing you any rcy."
Ciel glared at but then suddenly smirked. "Silas, you have a habit of losing important things to . It seems that habit hasn’t changed over the years. That’s why your mate... is now my mate."
Nekol, who had been silently listening, looked completely shocked. I never told him anything about my past or how I ended up becoming an actor. But I guess after this conversation, he was definitely going to ask. And I would have to tell him—after all, he was my manager.
But after what happened today, I didn’t think I wanted to act anymore. Not in a company where the CEO played favorites.
"Now go to the company, Silas. There’s a surprise waiting for you. I hope you’ll like it," Ciel said mockingly.
I ignored him and walked toward Nekol’s car. Nekol followed, and we both got in. He didn’t ask anything during the drive, which surprised —I thought he would.
"Silas, don’t worry. I’ll talk to Mr. Damon and ask him why he did this," Nekol finally said.
I nodded. He kept driving, but the entire way, I kept questioning my decision to beco an actor in Damon’s company. Maybe Damon was just like every other Alpha—falling for Ciel’s tricks. When would this problem nad Ciel finally disappear from my life?
"Silas, if they fire you, I’ll resign too," Nekol said firmly. "I’ll follow you wherever you go. We can sign with another company. There are so many entertainnt agencies out there. Your talent won’t go to waste."
"Yeah, yeah. Just drive. We’ll see what happens once we reach the company," I replied.
Nekol sped up, and soon, we arrived in front of the company. I stepped out of the car and walked straight inside, Nekol following behind .
I had no idea what was going to happen, but if Damon told to leave, then I would. I didn’t care anymore. He had been so nice to yesterday, but I guess people change overnight.
We took the elevator up and reached Damon’s office. I knocked, and his voice ca from inside. "Co in."
I pushed the door open and walked in with Nekol.
But as soon as I entered, my footsteps halted.
Sitting in front of Damon was my father. And next to him... a strange man.
What was my father doing here? And why did Damon look so serious, as if sothing bad had happened?
My eyes widened, and I froze, staring at Damon in silence.
"Silas, co sit here."
Damon patted the seat beside him. I glanced at my father and went to sit beside Damon,
but my father was looking at , and I couldn’t really tell what he was thinking.
