Silas’s POV
I wanted to ask what happened, but seeing his reaction, I think it’s not worth asking. Orian will tell if he wants to, but right now, he won’t tell, even if I ask.
The whole day passed in the blink of an eye, and as evening ca, our luggage was put into the carriage, and Orian and I left our room and went to Dad. As we knocked on Dad’s study, he didn’t answer at first. Then we knocked again. Still, he didn’t answer. That’s why we directly opened the door. And we did. Dad was sitting there, smiling. And there was a letter in his hand.
"Dad?" Orian called out.
Hearing this, Dad’s attention went to us. And as soon as he saw and Orian, he quickly folded the letter and hid it inside his clothes. Seeing that, I rushed to Dad.
"Dad, who sent you that letter? Tell now. You were smiling. Dad, if you have a lover, please tell . I also want to be happy for you."
"It’s nothing."
"Dad, don’t lie and tell ."
"Well, he’s not a lover, but he is my ex."
What? Dad’s ex? I didn’t know Dad had an ex. I thought Dad was a one-woman man. But what is this?
"Dad, who is your ex? Is she more beautiful than Mom? Or is he beautiful? Does he want to be with you again?"
"Oh, you two are already ready, I see. You’ll leave right now, right? Silas?" Dad tried to change the subject.
"Dad, don’t change the subject and tell who that oga is. And what did he say in the letter? Is he coming to et you? Is that why you’re happy? Please, Dad, tell . I also want to know."
I was asking when Orian grabbed my hand. As he did, my whole attention went to him.
"Silas, don’t pressure Dad. If he wants to tell us, he will. Just give him so ti."
I glanced at Dad. He was looking down. I’m such an idiot. Why am I even asking? He doesn’t want to reply. We should give him so ti. He will tell us eventually, even if we don’t ask. There’s nothing wrong. Again.
"Sorry, Dad, for asking you so many questions, but you don’t need to answer . After all, you are our lovely Dad."
"No, Silas. It’s not that I can’t answer, but my ex was not an oga. He was an alpha. That’s all I can say right now. Give so ti, I’ll tell you everything too."
I sat down beside him and hugged his arm. Orian sat down beside him too.
"Dad, you are the best, you know? We love you."
"Yes, I know. And enjoy yourselves there. And Silas, are you really okay with going there again? I an, the last incident happened just a few days ago, when you were coming back from the sa pack. You know what kind of people are roaming around."
Well, Dad is right. But my heart is calm right now. There is no sign of being scared. But there is a little trauma, I think, about touching alphas. Nothing else.
"Dad, I’m totally fine. And I can go there and co back many tis. Don’t worry. And those four are also with , aren’t they?"
Dad ruffled my hair. "When did my son grow this much that he’s at the age of getting married?"
I grinned, leaning on Dad’s shoulder.
"Dad, take good care of yourself, okay? And if you miss us, you can co visit us too." Dad chuckled hearing this.
"Silas, Orian, tell honestly, have you ever missed your mom?"
"No, we didn’t. When we have you, Dad, why would we miss Mom? You were both our mom and dad." Orian replied.
Oh, Orian’s such a cute kid. The way he replied, I’m totally pleased with it. Like, if my kid said this to , I’d be on the seventh heaven’s sky.
"Yes, we didn’t miss Mom. Because you love us that much. You are our everything," I said.
And when we said that and looked at Dad, we saw... Dad was crying!
"Dad, why are you crying all of a sudden?"
"I’m just happy. Don’t worry." We both hugged Dad. Dad is such a cutie. And emotional too.
Orian and I also started to cry. Seeing Dad like that, how could we stop ourselves? We cried. Then Dad wiped our tears, and we wiped Dad’s tears. We hugged. We laughed.
And then, our ti to go had co. Dad ca outside the palace to say goodbye.
"You four better take good care of my sons. What happened last ti? If that incident repeats, I’m gonna destroy your whole pack—including all of you."
Dad was threatening all of them, and they were nodding. But then Damon ca forward.
"Don’t worry, I will take good care of Silas and his brother."
At a ti like this, Damon really looked like a responsible person among those four brothers. He seed like a father figure too. Just look at the way he stood beside Dad—like Damon was standing in the sa posture as Dad.
After that, we hugged Dad, said goodbye to him, and sat down inside the carriage. Orian and I were sitting in one carriage, and the four of them were sitting in another. And this ti, Dad even provided us with shadow guards. Dad only has four or five, and from them, two were assigned to and Orian. Because he was still worried about us, and those shadow guards will protect us.
As we sat inside the carriage, I waved my hand at Dad, and Orian did the sa. And the carriage started to move. As we were moving, going farther and farther, as we reached the city, suddenly the carriage stopped.
"What happened? Why did the carriage stop?" Orian asked.
We were just sitting there, and then the carriage door opened, and we saw...
