When Theron closed his eyes, a sudden darkness turned into light, and he found himself standing in front of the palace.

The palace looked like the one he had seen in the history books.

Everything seed different. Nothing was like the era he was living in now. He didn’t understand where he was.

So he took a step forward. But when he stepped into the palace, his feet got bloody because there was blood on the floor.

And when Theron glanced up and his gaze moved around, he saw corpses of the royal knights.

They were wearing shining armors, but their hands were cut off, or their legs— their corpses were scattered around, like a pile, one on top of the other.

From any angle, that scene was not sothing that could be called normal. Still, Theron took a step ahead, because he was getting a vibe that there was sothing behind the door in front of him.

Since there were so many corpses in front of that door, it ant sothing mysterious was inside.

When Theron took a step ahead and opened the door, he saw it was a hallway. And the hallway was very silent. It was like no one was alive in that whole palace.

And just then, a crying sound reached Theron’s ears. As soon as he heard it, he quickly glanced around to see where that sound was coming from.

And when he found out, he went in that direction directly.

And when he followed the crying voice, he found himself standing in the main hall. And the main hall’s condition was worse than the outside.

People’s corpse body parts were scattered around, cut into pieces. One after another, corpses were lying there. And that crying sound was getting louder.

Theron understood that there was a kid here who was crying. But the thing was, no matter how much he glanced around, he didn’t find anyone alive.

It ant that kid was hiding sowhere in the main hall and crying because he must be very scared of seeing all this in front of his eyes.

Theron started to search everywhere. He was even moving those piles of corpses to see if the kid was buried there.

But he wasn’t able to find him soon. But just then, his eyes finally caught that kid.

And when Theron went to that kid, his steps froze and his eyes widened—because that kid was none other than Velric. And he was in soone’s lap, and that person was also dead.

"Velric..."

As Theron called out Velric’s na while sobbing, Velric looked up.

"Daddy!"

Theron quickly picked up Velric from that person’s lap, but he couldn’t see that person’s face.

"What’s with this place and why are you stuck here?"

Velric hugged Theron tightly.

"Daddy... sob... I thought everyone left ."

Theron turned around. "What do you an by everyone left you? You don’t know how much Silas is worried right now. So let’s get out of here quickly."

And just then, Theron stepped on a corpse’s hand, so he looked down. But after seeing that corpse, Theron was shocked.

"SILAS!"

Silas’s dead body was lying there, and his eyes were still open. Seeing that, Theron’s heart skipped a beat.

But before he could do anything, suddenly everything started to scatter into pieces.

Seeing that, Theron touched Velric’s head and held him tightly. And everything collapsed around them.

Theron snapped his eyes open and found himself back in the room, standing in front of the bed.

But when he looked ahead, he saw two ghost n sitting beside Velric.

Velric also opened his eyes and, while rubbing them and taking support from one hand, he sat up.

But as soon as Velric looked around, he saw those two ghosts sitting on either side of him.

Velric’s little heart skipped a beat seeing them. And when his eyes fell on that ghost whose face was burned and looked creepy, the little kid got so scared that tears started to stream down from his eyes.

In the end, he was just a 5-year-old kid.

"Waaahhhhh... Waaahhh... Mumma... Daddy!"

Theron, who was watching all this while standing there, moved forward and grabbed Velric, picking him up in his arms. As he picked up Velric, his eyes glared at those ghosts.

Silas was unconscious, because earlier when the second ghost’s head popped out from under the bed, Silas passed out just at that mont upon seeing another ghost in front of his eyes.

Of course, these things were abnormal. He had only imagined them or seen them in movies, but he never thought that ghosts actually existed in this world.

And as Silas passed out, Damon didn’t understand what to do. He wanted to co inside and take Velric and Theron away from those ghosts.

But as Theron instructed, he couldn’t go into the room—no matter what happened.

Damon was helpless. He was sitting near the door, holding Silas’s head in his lap.

A few monts ago, when Damon saw Theron moving, his eyes lit up. Finally, Theron moved. After a few seconds, Velric also sat up.

And as he sat up, seeing the ghosts, he started to cry. This ti, Damon wanted to co inside and hug Velric to comfort him.

Even though Damon hated children and usually got angry seeing kids cry—thinking they were annoying—that wasn’t the case with Velric.

In Velric’s case, everything was different. Damon didn’t hate him. Damon didn’t think he was annoying.

In fact, seeing Velric in pain, Damon’s heart also ached. And when Theron picked up Velric in his arms, Damon sighed in relief.

"Theron," Damon called out Theron’s na.

And as Theron heard that, he turned around and saw Damon sitting down, and Silas was passed out. Theron rushed to them without wasting any seconds.

"What happened to Silas?"
