Silas’s POV
"How did you end up in this situation?"
That’s exactly what I want to ask myself. How did I end up here?
Why am I getting tangled up with those four brothers? They’re not even worth it. They’re just a bunch of shaless bastards.
But I never expected to et Van here. I an, I had forgotten about him because, after that day in my childhood, I never saw him again.
Sotis, I rember him, but then I recall that he befriended Ciel, so I push everything aside.
And now, Van is standing right in front of . The world really is small. Judging by his outfit, I think he has beco the Great Priest.
"It’s a long story. Let’s not talk about that now," I said, not wanting to reopen my wounds by telling Van everything.
"Yeah, you’re right. But how are you going to get back ho now?"
I glanced around because, honestly, I had no idea how I was going to get ho.
If my phone wasn’t broken, I would have just called a taxi or Atlas. But Kael dropped it, and now it’s useless.
"Silas, if you don’t mind, I can teleport you to your house."
"What? Teleport? You know magic?"
That was probably a silly question because I had literally just seen him appear right in front of .
That ant he had teleported here. He obviously knew magic. And yet, I still asked him as if I wasn’t sure.
"Haha, of course, I know magic. You see, I’ve beco one of the Great Priests, so teleporting you to your house is a piece of cake for ."
Well, I had no objections. Why would I say no when he could teleport straight ho? So, I nodded.
As soon as I did, he stepped closer and extended his hand, silently telling to take it.
It’s not like I don’t trust him, so I dropped the knife and placed my hand in his.
The mont I did, he suddenly pulled closer, and a bright light started surrounding us.
Because of that light, I couldn’t keep my eyes open, so I shut them.
When I opened them again, we were standing right in front of my apartnt.
Seeing my apartnt, it hit —I had left my luggage and apartnt keys in Atlas’s car.
I glanced at Van, and just then i heard music sound so went ahead and just as I did, I noticed Shine and Atlas sitting on the staircase, my luggage right there with them.
They were both on their phones, but as soon as I walked up to them, their attention shifted to . Seeing , Shine and Atlas imdiately stood up.
"Oh, Silas, you’re ho? But when did you return? We didn’t see you at all."
"Thank you guys for waiting here, but your eyes are getting red. You should go ho and get so rest. Shine, if you want, you can stay over."
Of course, I felt guilty. Because of , they had to sit outside with my luggage, not knowing when I’d return.
They could have unlocked my apartnt and gone inside, but they didn’t. I guess they respected my privacy.
I couldn’t ask Atlas to stay over because I knew he had a younger brother.
I hadn’t seen him since that day in the hospital, and I had no idea how he was doing. I just hoped he was okay.
"Thank you, Silas," Shine said, grabbing my luggage and heading toward my apartnt. Atlas waved his hand in goodbye and left.
Neither of them noticed Van at all. He was standing in the corner near my apartnt, while the staircase was a little ahead of it, so they probably didn’t see him. But Shine was going that way... he’d probably see him now.
I hadn’t realized Velric was asleep. Glancing at him, I saw his eyes closed, his breathing even—he was sleeping soundly.
I turned back and took out the key from one of my bags, unlocking the door. Shine was staring at Van, but he didn’t say anything.
As I opened the door, we all stepped inside. The first thing I did was take Velric to my room, gently placing him on the bed and covering him with a blanket. Then, I walked back out.
The mont I stepped into the living room, I saw Shine and Van standing there—Shine was staring at Van.
Just a mont ago, he looked half-asleep, but now? His eyes were wide open, locked onto Van.
"Hey, who are you? And what’s your motive for coming here? I know you’re up to sothing bad," Shine said suspiciously.
Shine and his habit of interrogating people...
"Excuse ?" Van raised a brow. "I could ask you the sa question. Why are you here? It’s not like you don’t have a house. Why are you staying over?"
"Why would I tell you? And judging by your outfit, you look like so kind of cosplay artist."
I sighed. If I let them continue, they’d be at it for an hour. Stepping forward, I quickly interrupted.
"Both of you, stop. Shine, this is Van. He’s a Priest. He was my childhood friend. And Van, this is my manager, Shine."
Van blinked. "Oh, so he’s your manager? Wait... what exactly are you doing these days that you have a manager, Silas?"
Shine scoffed. "Hey, Mr. Priest, I didn’t know you were that poor. Do you not have a TV in your house? Have you never watched Silas’s drama?"
After arguing for about five minutes, they finally sat down on the sofa. I was feeling exhausted too, but neither of them seed to care enough to tell to get so rest.
And I had no idea when Van was planning to leave. I couldn’t just outright tell him to go.
But then Shine spoke up. "Why aren’t you leaving? Can’t you see it’s already midnight? Silas needs to rest."
"Sorry, I didn’t realize. I was just happy to see my friend again, so I lost track of ti. But don’t worry, I’ll leave now," Van said.
He stood up and walked over to .
