Aria POV

Everything began to happen so quickly I could not even apprehend what was happening.

Before I could stop them, they had already clinched to each other.

As I rushed to my mom, knowing she was about to go in between them and try to stop them, I looked at her and whispered, "Don’t. They are dangerous."

"No!"

"There are two huge wolves in front of us and you think you can intervene?" I muttered to her as she shrugged and flung my hand away before racing towards my stepfather as she pulled him aside.

Just then, Jaxon transford back to his human form and looked at , still clearly angry, but I did not even give him a chance to say a word as I walked towards Rick.

"You can’t tell what to do. Yes, you are the one paying for everything and you have the right to tell anything. But I told you I have no issues with that school. I don’t know why you are pushing away from it. What’s the harm if I stay there? I don’t even understand what you and Jaxon are fighting over because I can still take perfect care of myself and I would not cling to him either. In short, I always avoid him," I said to Rick as he snarled before looking back at Jaxon again.

"You think I don’t understand what’s going on here, right? The thing you just don’t understand is no matter how safe you think you are, you are never safe. Mostly with everyone seeing you around Jaxon, they would know that sothing is off."

"Okay, please just listen to . I am trying to keep you safe and I’m trying to keep you in a perfect condition. Can you just allow to do what I know is right?"

He questioned as I stayed silent, looking at my mom as she nodded.

I know that leaving Jaxon’s side would also make everything difficult for him since he won’t be able to cope without .

But at the sa ti, Rick had given a good reason to leave the school.

But I don’t want to disappoint Jaxon.

I then behaved calm, like I had everything under control.

"I am the one who insisted on staying in this school. I just changed schools. It’s not even up to how many days and you want to change again?"

Rick had seen through and clearly realized that I was not going to listen to him, so what he did was just snarl angrily and then storm away as my mom followed behind him, clearly trying to calm him down.

She left here, of course. She had to make sure, and she was the perfect person, wife for Rick.

That is her main reason for leaving behind and just turning off because she knows that she could always co back to explain everything to , but Rick would not give her that chance.

Now I was left with Jaxon as he seed quiet for so weird reason.

I was just about to climb up the stairs when I felt his grip around my arm.

"Let go," I muttered before he could even do anything else, but he still held on to .

"Thank you," he muttered as I could not help but smile.

Why was I even smiling?

I slamd my hands on my forehead and turned to him, biting my lips, trying to hold in the words in and trying to pretend like I did not feel anything concerning what he said.

"Why are you telling thank you? Your words are not going to move . I don’t think I was being nice to you at all. I was not being nice. I still don’t want you around and I still need ti to think. I am not going to accept being around you either and I might just reject you if I want to," I said to him as a threat as he looked at confused.

"Why are you acting so differently? I thought it has been resolved. You staying here ans you are going to be by my side. You know what would happen to if you are not by my side," he muttered as I laughed.

"I know what is going to happen to you and I wish it would happen to you every day. But the only reason why I still insisted and kept arguing with Rick was because I don’t want to be in any situation whereby anything happens to . I feel like you are not the only one at loss if you separate both of us with you. I don’t like you, Jaxon. I want you to rember that."

And with those words, I stord out of his presence, knowing it would hit him like a huge wave of flood.

I smiled with satisfaction as I walked away and slowly climbed up the stairs.

I got to my room and for so weird reason, I was expecting him to chase after , but I felt nothing, his presence not close to .

I then opened the door to my room and was about to step in when I perceived him.

For so weird reason, I stopped and turned around as he looked at confused, and his breath hinged from having to run up those stairs and follow after .

He then smiled again at as I felt frustrated.

"Why can’t I ever make him leave ? No matter what I do, he still wants to be around . Is this really how it’s going to be?" I questioned myself before I could even ask him why he was standing there.

He pulled into a tight hug as I tried to fight my way, but he still hugged even tighter, his grip so fierce.

"Stop it. Let go," I angrily yelled at him, but he did not.

"You stood against my father wanting you to leave , and I won’t just let you go so freely. Act like you are so fierce, but you aren’t. You like . I can see it, and I am going to make sure to rebuke those feelings you have."

"What? What the hell did he just say?"
