An Kexin was clearly awake, but she just didn't want to open her eyes. She turned over and wanted to hold the Ha Pi dog pillow in her arms, but the hand she stretched out grasped only air.

She groped around a bit and still didn't find the Ha Pi dog. With confusion, An Kexin suddenly woke up, finally realizing this wasn't her own ho.

She turned over and sat up, discovering that she was sleeping in a bedroom with little sign of life. A thin blanket covered her, and the sea breeze drifted into the room along with the curtain's movent, bringing a coolness and a slight scent of the sea!

An Kexin's sowhat confused eyes gradually beca clear, and her mory also sharpened.

Last night, she had volunteered to stay and accompany Lin Jie in pushing themselves to their physical limits.

They first went to Zhujia Port nearby, had a delicious seafood dinner, and drank quite a bit of rice wine!

Afterward, the two of them took a stroll on the beach to digest, then ran barefoot along the seaside.

They kept running back and forth until they were utterly exhausted, mud splattered all over them, forcing them to take a seawater bath in their clothes!

They then bought beach shorts, T-shirts, and so daily washing supplies in a small shop at Zhujia Port, and returned to the clinic.

After showering, Lin Jie continued doing his fitness routines, while she started doing yoga on the sofa, after which, she apparently fell asleep on the sofa...

An Kexin checked and found herself still wearing the beach shorts and T-shirt, with no unusual feeling in her body.

At the sa ti, she felt an unprecedented sense of relaxation!

The feeling of relaxation was both physical and ntal.

This sleep was the most peaceful and sweet she had had in a long ti.

An Kexin understood that by accompanying Lin Jie in pushing physical limits last night, she also released the pressure and uneasiness that had been building up for a long ti, which was an unintended result.

She picked up the phone at her bedside and found that it was already close to 10:30 in the morning, with several missed calls and so ssages.

An Kexin replied to the calls and ssages, got ready, grabbed the clothes she had changed out of last night, and walked out of Lin Jie's office, heading down to the clinic's second floor, only to hear Lin Jie's voice coming from one of the wards.

"From the current signs, the recovery is good, with no symptoms of inflammation! Rember to clear your throat a little every two or three hours, and avoid sneezing and severe coughing..."

An Kexin walked closer and saw Lin Jie advising Zhang Daya on so matters.

Lin Jie also saw An Kexin, gestured for her to wait a mont, and after giving Zhang Daya a few more reminders, he quickly walked out of the ward.

"Did you sleep well last night? You must be quite hungry by now, so let take you out for brunch!"

Looking at the now energetic Lin Jie, An Kexin smiled and said, "I slept very well. The air here is nice, and it's away from the city's hustle and bustle, a great place to live."

"As for food, I'll pass this ti, there're so things I need to return to the city and handle quickly!"

Lin Jie didn't insist and escorted An Kexin downstairs.

On the way, he asked with concern, "About that microscope and surgical equipnt, you only used them once, you should be able to make them look like new and resell them at the original price to a client, right?"

An Kexin blinked mischievously, saying, "But we are honest in our business, how could we deceive a client?"

Lin Jie scratched his head sheepishly, "Then I'll persuade Luo Shanshan to buy them. Maybe after the news of Zhang Daya talking spreads, similar patients will co seeking treatnt!"

At that mont, another issue occurred to him.

Zhang Daya's surgery costs hadn't been determined yet, so it was necessary to talk with Luo Shanshan later.

An Kexin just smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll treat this set of equipnt as a display sample. Speaking of patients seeking treatnt, I actually have one here, are you interested?"

"A friend of yours?"

Lin Jie hesitated for a mont, then continued, "If not, then forget it. For the ti being, unless there's a surgery or case I'm particularly interested in, I don't want to further complicate things!"

Hearing this, An Kexin felt a bit flattered, dramatically clutching her chest, "Thank you for the exception!"

"She's a girlfriend of mine, you've t her before, the one who drew on Keng's neck!"

Lin Jie imdiately thought of that super powerful tornado kick, shaking his head reflexively, "Oh, that duck-voiced, violent girl? I'd rather not treat her, even if she ca begging herself."

"You've t her again?"

Seeing Lin Jie's unnatural expression, An Kexin, knowing her girlfriend's temperant, naturally guessed that their previous eting probably wasn't that pleasant.

Since both were her friends, An Kexin didn't want them to beco irreconcilable enemies and softly explained, "Her voice wasn't like that before; it was just slightly neutral. Later, she had a minor surgery."

"Sadly, after the surgery failed, her voice didn't improve but beca even more hoarse."

With a sympathetic look, An Kexin said, "Her mind was already a bit sensitive, and after her voice worsened, she beca more radical. She even went to specifically learn martial arts and taekwondo to beat up those who mocked her."

"Lin Jie, my girlfriend has a good heart; it's just that her voice made her self-conscious, sensitive, and aggressive! Could you overlook her slight and forgive her offense?"

Lin Jie chuckled and said, "Kexin, I'm actually the younger one here, alright? Let's talk about this matter another ti. For now, I need to fully prepare for Miaomiao and Uncle An's surgery."

Seeing Lin Jie unwilling to relent, An Kexin also felt quite helpless!

Firstly, she didn't know the exact details of their disagreent, and secondly, apologies are only effective when personally addressed by the involved person.

With that in mind, she stopped persuading and boarded her rcedes off-roader, taking her leave.

Lin Jie returned to the clinic, pulled Luo Shanshan aside, and softly said, "Shanshan, how have you calculated the surgery costs for Zhang Daya?"

Luo Shanshan smiled and said, "Oh, Zhang Daya's surgery costs are basically free."

"It's like this: every year, my father allocates five million to the clinic as operational funds."

"He specifically instructed that for old residents from Zhujia Port visiting the clinic, for each visit, they bear the cost up to a hundred for minor illnesses, and a thousand for major ones. Any excess cost is covered by the clinic."

"So, for Daya's surgery, they only need to pay a thousand yuan. The other costs are covered by the clinic."

She looked at Lin Jie with a half-smiling, half-serious expression, "Even though the clinic covers the cost, your surgical stipend won't be reduced by a cent. I'll soon establish a standard for that."

"Rest assured, your surgical stipend will definitely be much higher compared to what you'd earn at a big hospital."

Lin Jie, feeling a bit embarrassed, said, "Shanshan, I didn't bring this up for that reason!"

"But if people from outside Zhujia Port co for treatnt or surgery, pricing calculations are still needed."

Luo Shanshan showed a troubled expression, saying fretfully, "I'm not too familiar with that aspect either."

"I'm already looking for soone to get the cost accounting system, surgery pricing table, and other price lists from Limin Hospital over here. I plan to mimic them to create a price list for the clinic."

Lin Jie could only roll his eyes!

However, he understood that being a doctor and managing a hospital are vastly different.

Currently, the clinic has few people, few affairs, and few patients, so it doesn't require much of Luo Shanshan's energy yet!

Lin Jie could only hope that Luo Shanshan's managerial abilities would grow quickly or that they could eventually recruit a professional manager once the clinic becos busier.
