"Director, Director!"

"What’s going on?" The hostel director, who had been startled by the voice while reading the news on his computer, suddenly jumped up, rembering the guest who had checked in the day before, and anxiously asked.

"Room 3, there’s a problem with Room 3!"

"What?" Hearing about Room 3, the director’s face turned dark, thinking to himself that it was exactly what he dreaded, and without caring about the hostel’s rule against using martial arts, he burst out using Qinggong, and then, he saw a room in complete disarray...

"Did you find any corpses or bloodstains?" Looking at the severely damaged room where almost no piece of furniture remained intact, the director gasped in shock. The furnishings in this special hostel were made of reinforced materials, specifically designed to accommodate the current physical constitution of people in Yan Country. Could it be that two martial arts experts had fought here?

"No, none, according to the lounge’s surveillance, the guest of Room 3 left at seven o’clock this morning, and the hallway surveillance didn’t pick up any sounds of a fight."

The attendant shook his head, but the director felt unsure; he knew there were magic items in the world that could disguise and transform appearances. So, he imdiately returned to his office, called his superiors, and a mont later, the puzzled director gathered a few related staff and dryly said, "It’s all good now, rember the confidentiality rules well, don’t ask about anything else."

...

At the Modu Airport, Feng Xue sat in the business class, looking at Chen Xiyao next to her who was yawning, and said sowhat speechlessly:

"Why hasn’t it started? I don’t rember airplanes being this slow!"

"Ha~~" Chen Xiyao yawned deeply, stretched her hand to scratch her head, and said helplessly:

"There’s no choice, the prevalence of Cross Training martial arts is too high now. There’s always a few who fancifully try to stow away on the exterior of the plane, so every ti before a flight, they need to find a few experts in Qi chanism Perception to scan the inside and outside of the aircraft cabin to ensure no one is attempting sothing stupid. It’s less of an issue with international flights. Just last month, we caught more than a dozen people trying to sneak back into the country. But the new Traffic Safety Law has only drafted a proposal, it hasn’t been officially legislated, so we can only follow temporary regulations, which is super botherso!"

"Wow, if it weren’t for the tight schedule, I’d really want to stay and see all the changes in the country," Feng Xue remarked with amazent, but Chen Xiyao just shrugged indifferently:

"Actually, overall it hasn’t changed much. After the novelty wears off, it’s still the sa old sa. It’s just a bunch of unruly kids causing trouble every day. To sum it up, the big problems are fewer, but the small problems are more frequent. At the police station where I interned, there are at least several civil diations every day, mostly involving so kids causing trouble, you can’t imagine how outrageous it is!"

"Oh, do tell about one," Feng Xue said with interest, her expression suggesting she had seen it all.

Chen Xiyao, sowhat more awake from her drowsy state, thought for a mont and imdiately picked a representative case to talk about:

"Just the day before yesterday in Bashui District’s police station, a little brat tripped a blind man, and the blind man perford a Thousand-Pound Fall but didn’t fall himself and ended up breaking the kid’s leg. The parents took it to the police station, demanding compensation from the blind man."

"What’s so outrageous about that?" Feng Xue quirked her lips. It might sound a bit outrageous, but after all, it’s just like those little brats who kick their bikes and get injured or pull on a wire and get electrocuted. But Chen Xiyao shook her head:

"The kid’s parents said that the blind man had practiced Sound Recognition and Bat Skill, and must have been aware of their child. Thus, he intentionally stepped on the kid’s leg. They also claid their kid had trained in Golden Bell Shield to Second Layer; his leg couldn’t have been broken if it weren’t deliberate..."

"This works?" Feng Xue widened her eyes incredulously as Chen Xiyao simply shrugged:

"Why not? So, this case isn’t just legally complex; it also involves legislative issues. That is, how to categorize the ’negligence’ of blind people trained in techniques like Sound Recognition. After all, nobody can guarantee that if this sets a precedent, there won’t be specialized groups of blind martial experts intentionally injuring people in the future. But if we make the blind man fully liable, it might stir public dispute and might also empower these little brats. The higher-ups are now considering whether to establish a specific ’Juvenile Martial Person Protection Act’ for kids who’ve reached a certain level of martial arts, so they could be criminally prosecuted..."

"This is truly..." Feng Xue shook her head, just thinking about it made her head spin.

The two talked on and off, and the plane finally took off. Chen Xiyao eventually could not resist the fatigue and slowly fell asleep.

Feng Xue, who didn’t need to sleep, wasn’t conscious of staying up all night. She watched the white clouds outside the window when suddenly she heard an annoying in-flight announcent—

"Ladies and gentlen, please be aware, please be aware, a stormwalker has been spotted ahead of us. We have notified the air control departnt, and there may be turbulence during the flight. Please fasten your seatbelts as we maintain..."

"Shit!" Chen Xiyao, who had just fallen asleep, cursed abruptly, and imdiately covered her mouth, aborting the swear words that followed. She glanced nervously at Feng Xue.

Seeing Feng Xue seemingly unfazed, she slowly adjusted her position, fastened her seatbelt, and explained:

"It’s a group from Columbia, you know, those who popped Super Serum and ended up with the ability to fly. They fly around causing chaos but aren’t exactly suicidal, so they won’t crash into our plane. They’re just scary."

"Columbia has developed Super Serum?" Feng Xue’s focus clearly wasn’t on safety issues. Chen Xiyao paused before she rembered Feng Xue had just returned to the real world and explained:

"They succeeded around March, although that’s just when it hit the market. The actual developnt ti must have been even earlier. From the intelligence we’ve got, it seems they crafted a ’super genius scientist’ Kaidan narrative, creating ’devices that can manufacture Super Serum’ and other Magic Items. Currently, the serum goes for $2000 a dose. The probability of gaining a Superpower is around five percent. Apparently, because the original movie had white actors who were successfully injected, white people have a higher success rate and better powers. Black people often experience deformities, and it seldom works on Asians..."

"This really is petty play, but how is the power limit? Compared to martial arts, I an." Feng Xue’s lips curled up slightly as she casually asked. Chen Xiyao recalled the intelligence report and replied:

"The latest report I saw was from mid-April; back then, the power levels of Columbia’s Superpower Users were relatively weak, unable to defeat even a newborn baby—um, I an the kind cross-trained in the womb. But when diverse powers work together, their ability to cluster fight and strike from beyond visual range is quite formidable. I heard Bolivar had it rough..."
