"I admit defeat!"

Accompanied by Feng Xue’s declaration from sowhere, the scene before her eyes returned once again to the sixth layer of the Tower of Babylon.

Looking at the challenger who had clearly been killed by her yet had sohow managed to shout out her surrender, the owner of a residence on the sixth layer couldn’t help feeling sowhat apprehensive.

"Thank you for your guidance, here’s a small gift," Feng Xue said with a grin, handing a coin to the residence owner who was montarily taken aback but accepted it nonetheless.

Having just died once again, Feng Xue moved to the staircase as if nothing had happened and re-entered the guard challenge.

However, she did not press start imdiately but instead took out a card pack with a "Resurrection Tomb" elent, and retrieved the "Resurrection Tomb" card she had just used, performing a "resurrection surgery" on herself.

Although this resurrection card had its limitations—typically usable only once per combat (if a duplicate could be produced, it would allow three uses, and even more with a trap recall card), left the user in a defense-only state, and resurrected a locked enemy unit—it couldn’t obscure its perfect resurrection effect.

Under other circumstances, Feng Xue would have to consider issues like being guarded post-mortem, but for challenging residence rights, this card almost let her exploit the system without harm, the only problem being she didn’t know the condition of these "enemies" resurrected by the card.

Naturally, even with such concerns, she wouldn’t forsake using such handy resurrection tools rely to avoid potentially appearing enemies, thereby forgoing exploiting the residence owners.

Today marked the twenty-fourth day of Feng Xue entering the Tower of Babel, and only a week remained until the end of the challenge month. Having accidentally killed a guard of the most common superpower type, Feng Xue spent several days battling knight and swarm guards before starting the formal residence owner challenge.

Compared to the guards, who were almost entirely overwhelming, these residence owners indeed possessed outrageously strong combat abilities, even on the sixth layer, as introduced by the Cowboy.

Taking out a small notebook and crossing off a number, she looked at the remaining few and frowned:

"There are three residence owners left on the sixth layer I haven’t battled yet, then I’ll try going to the seventh layer."

While that was what she said, Feng Xue had completely abandoned the idea of qualifying as a residence owner by the end of the month. As Cowboy had said, she was nothing but a "newborn" now and hadn’t even grasped the basic abilities of Kaidan, let alone hoping to defeat these veterans, which would be too arrogant.

However, she could capitalize on her ability to resurrect to gain a bit more combat experience.

Waiting until the Silent Boots gradually healed the wound on her chest, Feng Xue triggered the start command but even before the guard appeared, she decisively declared, "I admit defeat."

Returning to the staircase on the eighth layer, Feng Xue descended to the sixth layer and then re-entered the villa area, using the house number to locate a villa she had not yet challenged.

"Knock, knock, knock..."

Gently knocking on the villa’s door, Feng Xue followed the standard procedure provided by the Tower of Babel to initiate a challenge request. Unexpectedly, the hoowner didn’t co out from the room as usual; instead, the challenge space instantly unfolded.

"At last, I’ve encountered soone who likes to start fights in the dead of night!" As he watched the red moon hanging in the sky, a hint of surprise appeared on Feng Xue’s face, but the next mont, he received a ssage from the Tower of Babel—

"Hoowner detected as not ho, Descent Rule activated; if not present in five minutes, the challenge is forfeited, and the challenger automatically gains the residence right..."

Watching the five-minute countdown slowly tick away, Feng Xue’s expression turned complex. On one hand, he was eager to try out the full output of the Disintegration Holy Mother on these classic Kaidan stories during this grand night setting. On the other hand, he couldn’t help but hope that the opponent wouldn’t return in ti, allowing him to effortlessly gain a residence right.

Even though the mont the opponent returned, they would probably imdiately initiate a residence right challenge, even just a few minutes to uncover the mysteries of the residence right would be beneficial.

Holding this thought, Feng Xue gently caressed the handle of the Disintegration Holy Mother while he quietly awaited the countdown’s slow approach to its end.

However, he quickly gave up this foolish waiting and began observing his surroundings.

The place resembled a graveyard, with various types of gravestones scattered all around. At what appeared to be the exit or the end of the graveyard was a spire-topped building with a cross on top. It was unclear whether it was the tomb guardian’s cabin or a chapel in charge of holding funerals.

"This kind of environnt always feels like it might spawn a bunch of undead creatures; it seems the hoowner here might be of the ghostly Kaidan type?" Feng Xue silently analyzed in his mind. No matter where, ghost stories have always been the mainstream of Kaidan. Compared to the mind-racking rule-based Kaidan, simple and raw fear is the elent most likely to beco popular.

If this had been half a month ago, Feng Xue would have been at a considerable disadvantage against pure ghost-type enemies, but now it was different.

It wasn’t because he had concocted so ghost-repelling fantasy creature, but because he had successfully integrated the Fairy Energy into his Inner Power System.

Since mastering the Thin Mist Field, Feng Xue had possessed Fairy Energy in his body, but he had never been able to utilize it through anything but the Thin Mist Field.

However, once he acquired the "Martial" Power, everything changed. The more he used the Thin Mist Field in combat, the more he understood how to use the Fairy Energy and combined this power—comprising both life and spirit—with the Bu Tiange Practicing Route.

While his use of Fairy Energy remained basic for now, Feng Xue believed it wouldn’t be long before he could develop a cultivation technique that refined Fairy Attribute Inner Strength (perhaps Fairy Fighting?) without depending on the Thin Mist Field Skill Machine.

By then, the quality of the Bu Tiange Secret Manual would likely be elevated once again.

As Feng Xue pondered, the countdown reached the last twenty seconds. Just when he had begun to anticipate the hoowner’s arrival, the Tower of Babel suddenly transmitted a new ssage—

"The hoowner has descended; please prepare for battle."

"So he returned after all?" Having already ntally prepared himself, Feng Xue wasn’t too disappointed. Watching the countdown of the last ten-odd seconds, which hadn’t reset, he gripped the Disintegration Holy Mother in his right hand and the Pardon Bell in his left, ready to plunge into battle at any mont. Yet, just as the countdown hit zero, he couldn’t help but falter for a mont.

It wasn’t because the hoowner had astounded him under the Feminization Filter, but rather because the hoowner was frantically trying to pull up her trousers, and her bare upper body, with her frantic movents, was wildly swinging about...
