Gilgash was able to retrieve all his fired Noble Phantasms using the Chains of Heaven (Enkidu) because those weapons had landed within this world.
Even the bounded field "worlds" created by other Servants still belonged to this world's domain; their internal laws still operated within the foundational laws of this world.
But the small world George had created was different. Although it was still incomplete, it was an entirely separate world, completely distinct from this one.
Without George's permission, Gilgash's Enkidu, which he used to automatically retrieve his treasures, naturally could not invade it.
Therefore, in this battle today, for every single Noble Phantasm Gilgash fired, his Golden Capital's treasury lost one.
The large-scale, dense barrage he had unleashed later had, in fact, completely emptied his treasury of every single weapon-shaped Noble Phantasm.
"How dare you covet my treasures!"
Discovering that the Noble Phantasms within his Golden Capital were truly gone, Gilgash fell into a state of complete and utter rage.
He had never been this furious, not once in his entire existence.
One must understand, his greatest hobby was collecting all manner of treasures. His life's work, the collection of a lifeti, was almost entirely gone. How could his poor heart possibly bear such a blow?
"Chains of Heaven!"
The magical energy in his body exploded forth. A golden light blossod, making him as dazzling as a small sun, impossible to look at directly.
Following his furious roar, two chains crossed through space, appearing directly behind George and swiftly entangling him, locking him down tight.
The Chains of Heaven (Enkidu). This was one of the absolute top-tier Noble Phantasms in his treasury.
Forged by the gods themselves, it possessed an extrely powerful binding force, especially against divine beings. The higher a creature's divinity, the more restrained they would be by the chains.
It could also automatically retrieve all Noble Phantasms fired from the treasury.
At the sa ti he bound George with Enkidu, a bizarrely shaped sword hilt appeared in his right hand.
The hilt rapidly extended, transforming into his strongest Noble Phantasm—Ea, the Star of Creation that Split Heaven and Earth!
"Awaken, O Sword of Rupture!"
Gilgash raised the sword high, pouring all the magical energy within his body into it.
The blade imdiately surged with a strange, crimson energy and a fluctuation of laws so powerful it caused space itself to tremble.
"In the beginning of Heaven and Earth, the Primordial World!"
He swung the sword down lightly. A world-splitting crimson blade cleaved viciously toward George, its power far surpassing Artoria's Sword of Promised Victory.
The spectators on the sidelines were so shocked by the power of this single strike that they stumbled back repeatedly, exclaiming how such a terrifying Noble Phantasm could even exist in the world.
"Do you still not require my assistance?"
Artoria, who had witnessed the power of Ea before, wanted to raise Avalon and rush forward to defend, but she was once again stopped by George's telepathic ssage.
"Splitting heaven and earth... it really is sothing. A pity that the person using it is a bit lacking in strength. Otherwise, it would truly be difficult for to deal with."
Looking at the crimson blade, George's face remained perfectly calm.
This Sword of Rupture, in his view, was similar to Pangu's Axe from the legends of creation. It did indeed possess the law-based power to split heaven and earth.
Of course, he was referring to a similar type of law; the actual power was not on the sa level.
But no matter how strong Pangu's Axe was, if the user lacked the strength, it was useless. It was just like how Pangu could use the axe to create the world, while Chen Xiang could only use it to split a mountain to save his mother.
In Gilgash's hands, Ea couldn't even split the planet, let alone the entire world.
"Alohomora!"
The Unlocking Charm directly undid the Chains of Heaven. His right hand transford into a giant black dragon's claw, and, covered by the Golden Light Curse, it shot out and grabbed the crimson blade.
He was not a divine being. To him, Enkidu was just a particularly sturdy set of chains. With his Unlocking Charm optimized to a near-conceptual level, he could undo it with ease.
"Such a fine Noble Phantasm is wasted in your hands. Gim that!"
The black dragon's claw squeezed hard. The crimson energy blade was crushed mid-air, stunning Gilgash so badly his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
In the very next second, he saw George's face appear right in front of his own, less than ten centiters away.
Before he could even react, the Sword of Rupture was forcibly yanked from his grasp and subsequently vanished into that sa spatial rift.
"My apologies, I almost forgot. I'm a mage. I should be more elegant."
Seeing Gilgash swing an enraged fist at him, George had an impulse to give him a huge slap. But then he rembered his identity as a mage; always resorting to fists and feet didn't seem to fit his status.
Thus, he raised his hand, and a magic circle ford:
"Lightning God Slayer Magic—Ten Thousand Thunders: Continuous Barrage!"
Black lightning descended from above, striking fiercely at Gilgash. Before his fist could even get close to George, he was struck and smashed into the ground.
Before he could even try to get up, one bolt after another—a full ten thousand bolts of lightning—struck him continuously, blasting him from the surface deep into the earth.
When the lightning finally subsided, everyone peered into the deep crater, and they couldn't help but reveal looks of pity.
The once dazzling and noble King of Heroes, clad in golden armor, was now a wreck. His golden armor was now nothing but twisted scrap tal.
His body was half-charred black, and all of his golden hair had been scorched off, leaving him bald. Only a single, faint breath remained, proving that he was still alive.
"It seems God Slayer Magic's restraining effect on divine beings is quite good."
George wasn't surprised by this outco.
Gilgash possessed two-thirds divine blood, so he was naturally suppressed by his God Slayer Magic. If he hadn't been wearing that Noble Phantasm armor with its impressive defense, he probably would have been reduced to ashes by now.
"Behave obediently. At least that way, you can spare yourself so physical suffering."
George didn't kill Gilgash. Instead, he went down and gave him so minor treatnt.
He still needed Gilgash to cooperate with his research on those Noble Phantasms, so he didn't plan on killing him just yet.
Hearing George's threat, a disdainful smile appeared on Gilgash's face:
"I acknowledge that your strength is indeed great. But if you wish for to submit to you... that is an impossibility!"
How could the proud King of Heroes possibly be threatened by a re bit of physical pain?
He was already dead, after all; he had no fear of death.
"This is a bit difficult."
Seeing Gilgash's attitude, George rubbed his chin.
Technically, Gilgash wasn't one of the seven Servants summoned for this war, so killing him now wouldn't affect his subsequent plans.
It just felt like a bit of a waste. Although this guy was arrogant, he still had so skills worth researching.
"If you don't behave, then you can just forget about ever returning those Noble Phantasms I took from you."
"You!"
Hearing George's words, Gilgash's entire body instantly went stiff.
That... that was his entire life's collection of treasures!
"Actually, this isn't a threat. You can think of it as... cooperation. You help research one Noble Phantasm, and I'll return one to you. Once I'm finished researching all of them, I'll return them all to you."
Having found Gilgash's weakness, George patted the defeated king's shoulder with a smile.
