"Should I intervene or not?"
Leaving the New York Sanctum, George fell into deep thought.
"I'll decide when the ti cos."
Whether he would get involved depended on whether there were benefits to be gained. If the rewards were worth it, he didn't mind lending Asgard a hand again, just like last ti.
As Odin's older brother, Kurr was certainly no weakling.
However, having been sealed away for so many years, and now being on Earth—where he couldn't draw upon the power of Asgard—George didn't feel particularly threatened.
Lately, in addition to studying ti magic, he had also been learning alchemy.
He was planning to relocate the entire school into the sky, which would require the use of levitation spells, flight enchantnts, and magi-tech airship techniques. If he could get his hands on a large amount of Uru tal, the process would be much easier.
In short, everything depended on the situation. He might not even get the chance to intervene, even if he wanted to.
If Odin chose to take action personally, Kurr probably wouldn't be able to stir up much trouble.
"Reveal location—Thor Odinson!"
First, he needed to find Thor and inform him about Kurr, so Thor could return to Asgard and notify Odin.
Flying swiftly through the air, he soon followed the guidance of a tracking spell and located Thor in the faculty housing area of New York University.
At that mont, Thor was wearing ice skates, using Mjölnir for propulsion, and foolishly circling around with Jane on the path outside the dorms, seemingly learning to skate with her.
He radiated the overwhelming scent of love and affection.
"George? What brings you here?"
Startled by George's sudden appearance, both Thor and Jane jumped slightly.
George's expression was serious.
"Your uncle Kurr has broken free from his seal."
"My uncle?"
Thor was stunned. He had no idea he even had an uncle.
Seeing Thor's reaction, George imdiately realized that Kurr, like Hela, had been erased from all records—Odin had hidden everything.
So, George quickly shared all the intel he had on the matter.
After hearing it all, Thor stood in silence for a long mont before finally reacting.
"I can't believe it... sothing like this was kept from ."
He turned to Jane, gave her a few brief instructions, and then shouted into the sky:
"Heimdall!"
A rainbow bridge descended from the heavens, landing on the nearby lawn.
"George, I'm heading back to Asgard to inform Father. Don't worry, we Asgardians won't sit by and ignore Kurr."
With that, Thor leaped into the Bifrost and vanished, transported back to Asgard.
Having relayed the ssage, George Apparated back to the school. In the main conference room, aside from Raina, there was now another Inhuman—the blind man who could teleport.
"Is the list ready?"
"It's done."
Raina handed a piece of paper to George. It was filled with the nas of Inhumans' family mbers who had been taken hostage by HYDRA and were now scattered across various bases around the world.
"The leader just sent new intel. That evil god known as the Serpent has summoned seven celestial hamrs. Each person who wields one gains power as strong as Sin's."
"But they're all completely under the Serpent's control."
"Now, several of HYDRA's top leaders have submitted to the Serpent because of the hamrs. It seems they're planning to attack the White House."
"Attack the White House?"
George paused, confused about why Kurr would attack the White House. Was he planning to take control of the United States?
Well, let him attack if he wanted. As long as it wasn't his school being targeted, it didn't really concern him.
Until Thor sent word, he had no intention of taking action.
He wasn't Superman—he wasn't going to fly around the world saving people. Natural disasters and man-made catastrophes killed countless people on Earth every day. He couldn't possibly save them all. He wasn't so kind of saint.
Besides, human nature was fundantally flawed and notoriously difficult to predict. Even if he stepped in with the best intentions, the outco wouldn't necessarily be positive.
So people would even bla his intervention for bringing disaster.
He had no desire to be that kind of scapegoat.
If he was going to take action, it would only be at the mont when everyone had lost hope—appearing like a savior to maximize gratitude and personal gain.
Call him opportunistic, but he believed that if you were going to be a good person, you should at least be a smart good person. Otherwise, you'd end up unappreciated and exploited. Better to be a clever villain than a foolish hero.
"Do we know who's wielding the eight hamrs?"
"Sin, Baron Zemo, Baron Strucker, Mada Hydra, Hive—and three others who aren't part of HYDRA," Gordon, the eyeless man, replied.
"The leader said one wore a unique black panther suit, another had blue skin and liked to stay underwater, and the last could ignite flas from his body."
George's brows furrowed. He knew the first five, but wasn't certain about the last three.
The one in the black panther suit was likely Black Panther—but was it T'Challa or T'Chaka? After all, at this point in ti, the old king of Wakanda was still alive.
The blue-skinned one who liked water was probably Atlantean, but George wasn't sure if it was King Namor himself.
As for the one who could ignite flas—he had no imdiate guess. It probably wasn't the Human Torch, since he hadn't co across the Fantastic Four in this world.
Anyone who touched Kurr's celestial hamrs would be controlled by the Serpent, so it wasn't surprising who had fallen.
But for George, it didn't matter much.
The hamr-wielders, even with their power vastly enhanced by the celestial hamrs, at best matched Thor's level. They posed no real threat to him.
His main concern was Kurr's power.
"Let's start by rescuing people."
George turned to Gordon and said, "We'll split up. I'll track down everyone on this list and get them out. You're responsible for bringing your leader and the other Inhumans to the school."
Since the Inhumans had provided valuable intel and he had agreed to collaborate, it was only right that he ensured their safety.
"They're likely scattered all over the globe. Will you have enough ti?" Gordon asked, a hint of concern on his face.
Once they began, HYDRA would definitely catch on. Gordon could transport his people to the school quickly, but if George couldn't rescue everyone before HYDRA noticed, there was a real risk the hostages would be executed.
George smiled.
"Relax, I've got ti—but not yet. First, I'll locate them. Then I'll notify you, and we'll act simultaneously, teleporting in together. HYDRA won't have ti to react."
Only then did Gordon rember—he wasn't the only one who could teleport. George could, too.
He nodded in agreent with George's plan.
"Need any help from ?" Wolverine asked eagerly, extending his claws.
George waved him off.
"Not for now. But put classes on hold for the next couple of days. Tell everyone to gather—we might have a big fight on our hands once Thor returns."
He suspected that, to deal with Kurr, Thor might bring Asgard's army down to Earth.
However, Odin likely wouldn't co personally.
If Odin didn't appear, Thor would probably struggle against Kurr and his eight hamr-wielders. That would be the mont George might have to step in with reinforcents.
He Apparated into the sky above the school, cast an invisibility spell, and then began to transform using his Animagus ability.
In the blink of an eye, he beca a massive dragon, adorned with gleaming golden wings.
