"Over the years, the Ancient One has truly collected quite a number of magical artifacts."

As George reached the second floor and passed by the room dedicated to displaying magical artifacts, he couldn't help but sigh in admiration.

The Ancient One had brought him here once before.

Inside, besides the Cloak of Levitation worn by Doctor Strange, there was also the Ax of Angarumus, brimming with magic; the Sanctum Bell, capable of creating a tunnel between Earth and the Aiken Dinsion; the Black Mirror, which could peer into other dinsions; and the Brazier of Bom'Galiath, allowing access to phisto's realm in the Hell Dinsion—among many other powerful relics.

At the far end of the second floor, several magical portals appeared before his eyes.

Adjusting the dial to Kamar-Taj, George stepped through the portal and arrived at the true headquarters of Kamar-Taj, nestled in the Himalayas near Kathmandu.

"Master George, what brings you here?"

Mordo was taken aback when he saw George appear in Kamar-Taj.

Though George studied magic under the Ancient One daily at the New York Sanctum, this was his first ti visiting Kamar-Taj's headquarters.

"I have urgent business with the Sorcerer Supre. It concerns the safety of the entire Earth."

"Please, follow !"

Hearing George ntion Earth's safety, Mordo didn't dare delay. He quickly led George through several rooms and out onto the large courtyard.

At that mont, the Ancient One was instructing novice sorcerers in the courtyard on the basics of magic. Seeing Mordo arrive with George, she too looked surprised.

"Has sothing happened?"

She imdiately sensed sothing was amiss.

George wasted no ti and got straight to the point.

"Master, have you heard of the Serpent? I've received information that HYDRA recently released an evil god nad the Serpent from the deep waters of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean."

"What? The Serpent... Kurr, the God of Fear? This is troubleso indeed."

The Ancient One's pupils contracted sharply at his words.

Seeing her expression shift, George realized this Serpent was no ordinary entity—if it unsettled even the Ancient One, it must be serious.

"Is he one of those extradinsional demonic gods?"

"Not exactly. He's actually from Asgard. He is Odin's elder brother."

The Ancient One shook her head and explained:

"Kurr, known as the God of Fear, beca increasingly tyrannical after ascending as ruler of Asgard. Odin overthrew him and sealed him within Earth's Pacific Ocean, in the Mariana Trench."

"Huh? Wasn't it Odin's eldest daughter, Hela, whom he sealed away?"

George was visibly confused.

The Ancient One looked at him in surprise.

"It seems you know quite a bit. Indeed, the Goddess of Death, Hela, was also sealed on Earth—in Norway."

"Okay, seriously, why is everything sealed on Earth? Can't they just seal them in their own realms?"

George looked completely exasperated.

The Ancient One sighed.

"Because Earth is the Midgard of the universe—the cradle of many ancient gods and the heart of the cosmos. It possesses unique powers, making it the most suitable place to imprison powerful beings."

There are countless planets and civilizations across the universe, along with nurous deities.

Yet Earth is the most unique. Despite its relatively low level of developnt, it has given birth to many powerful Elder Gods—Gaea, Oshtur, Set, and Chthon—all originated from Earth.

This is why so many dinsional demons seek to invade Earth rather than any other planet in the universe.

Only by conquering and consuming Earth can they devour the entire universe.

The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj are not rely guardians of Earth—they bear the heavy responsibility of safeguarding the entire universe.

"This is a matter of Asgardian internal affairs. It wouldn't be appropriate for Kamar-Taj to interfere. I suggest you inform Thor—he happens to be visiting your school, doesn't he?"

"Good point. Interfering in soone else's family matters on a whim does seem a bit inappropriate."

Hearing the Ancient One's words, George instantly understood her underlying ssage.

It was simple: although Kurr, the God of Fear, had been unsealed on Earth, Kamar-Taj had no intention of taking action against him.

All this talk about not ddling in other people's family business—it was clearly just an excuse.

Still, he could understand their stance.

From the ti he had spent studying ti magic under the Ancient One, George had learned a bit about the history of this universe and Kamar-Taj's role in it.

Kamar-Taj was founded in 5000 BC by a human nad Agamotto, who created it after repelling Dormammu's invasion. This included establishing the three Sanctums on Earth.

Its core mission was to prevent dinsional demons like Dormammu from invading Earth and consuming the universe.

According to Thor, Odin led the Asgardian army to conquer the Nine Realms connected by the World Tree around 679 BC, becoming ruler of the Nine Realms.

Yet George noticed that, before Thor ever ca to Earth, Asgard had never stationed troops here like it had in other realms. For the most part, it left Earth alone, allowing humans to develop independently.

That didn't quite make sense.

The Dark Elves' planet had already been annihilated. The Frost Giants still had Laufey and many other giants, but they had only signed a peace treaty.

As for Earth, George speculated that the reason for Asgard's hands-off approach was likely the existence of Kamar-Taj.

In his view, Odin's power wasn't far off from that of the Sorcerer Supre. Odin could wield his full might in Asgard, while the Sorcerer Supre had maximum power on Earth.

Sothing must have happened between them. Kamar-Taj acknowledged Odin's title as ruler of the Nine Realms, but Odin could not exert real control over Earth.

You could tell from Doctor Strange's attitude toward Thor and Loki in the movies—sorcerers knew of Asgard and clearly held hostility toward Loki, who brought chaos to Earth.

So it was certain that the Ancient One and Odin knew each other, but how friendly they were was questionable.

Both appeared to be paragons of virtue, yet neither was exactly easy to deal with.

Odin waged war across the Nine Realms, slaughtered countless beings, and went so far as to cover up the existence of his daughter, Hela.

The Ancient One, on the other hand, cared little about how many died as long as her bottom line wasn't crossed. She sched extensively to pass the mantle of Sorcerer Supre to Stephen, sacrificing many in the process.

George didn't believe for a second that the Ancient One couldn't have saved the sorcerers slain by Kaecilius—or that she couldn't have subdued him in advance.

In his eyes, the Ancient One simply didn't want to clean up Odin's ss. After all, Kurr's ultimate goal was definitely to return to Asgard, reclaim the throne, and take revenge on Odin.

Earth might suffer so collateral damage, but it was unlikely to face total destruction.

If the Ancient One and the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj were to intervene, they might succeed in stopping Kurr—but only at great cost.

And if Kamar-Taj were weakened, it would leave Earth vulnerable to invasion by other dinsional demons. That would be a real disaster.

Even during the Chitauri invasion, the Ancient One rely stood atop the Sanctum, dealing with Chitauri soldiers that directly threatened the Sanctum—she didn't intervene beyond that.
