He had also heard about the Avengers Initiative from Nick Fury, but Fury hadn't gone into as much detail.
"George, did you find any useful clues? Otherwise, knowing that aliens are going to invade doesn't really help us prepare," Steve asked, focusing on the key issue.
Steve had already co to believe George's words, so now he was thinking about how to strategize and prepare for the impending alien invasion.
"Right now, I only know that the leader of the invasion is soone nad Loki. The most recent clue I've seen points to their presence near Old Bridge Town in New xico. So, if everyone has the ti, I'd like to go there and investigate. Maybe we'll find sothing useful."
Finally, George revealed his intention.
"I'm good to go. Just take back to suit up, and I'll co with you," Tony said, agreeing first.
George had been very helpful to him, so Tony naturally wouldn't turn him down. More importantly, even if George hadn't shared this information, Tony would have gone to check things out himself to protect the Earth.
"I agree, the sooner we leave, the better," Steve said, imdiately on board.
As a hero who had once shielded others by taking a grenade blast or been willing to sacrifice himself to save an entire city, how could Steve refuse to help when the world was in danger?
Seeing that Tony and Steve had agreed, George turned to look at Banner and Betty.
"Would you two be able to help?"
Banner hesitated a little before asking, "Are we really useful?"
George nodded firmly.
"Of course. You and Dr. Betty are both excellent scientists. Perhaps you'll find so traces of how the aliens are getting to Earth."
"Alright, we'll join too," Betty answered before Banner could respond.
As a scientist, how could she pass up the chance to witness extraterrestrial life and alien technology? Moreover, with powerful allies like the headmaster, Iron Man, and Captain Arica, she felt confident that safety wasn't an issue.
"Great, then it's settled."
Once everyone had agreed, George began organizing the plan.
"Professor, you'll stay behind at the school. The rest of you, prepare whatever you need. I'll take Tony back to get his suit, and then we'll head to New xico by jet."
Soone had to stay at the school; otherwise, it could be raided in their absence.
Professor X's telepathic abilities could cover the entire school, and he could control the Sentinels. In case anything happened, he would be able to handle it. Plus, his abilities were redundant with George's, so it made sense for him to stay behind.
As for why Betty, who didn't have combat skills, was going—it was because she could help guide Banner when he transford. Otherwise, if the Hulk turned into a rampaging beast, she could help keep him under control.
It wouldn't help if Hulk ended up fighting them instead of the Destroyer.
Everyone went off to prepare, and George used his Illusionary Shift ability to bring Tony back to his mansion.
While Tony was donning his new Iron Man suit, George took out so of the Hulk's hair and crafted a new magic wand using the green giant's hair.
He tested it briefly, and the results were impressive.
The wand worked even better than the one he had used in the Harry Potter universe, with power comparable to a magic ring from the world of a wizard's apprentice.
In his past life, George had heard that the Hulk's strength ca not just from gamma radiation, but from a mystical power tied to so dinsional demon or hellish force.
Even if others were transford by the Hulk's blood, they could never match his true power. The Hulk's unique ability to grow stronger with rage wasn't sothing others could replicate.
This might explain why the wand worked better than expected, as it carried a power beyond his initial assumption.
Once Tony was ready in his suit, they returned to the school. The others were already prepared as well.
There wasn't much to prepare for, really.
Captain Arica had only grabbed his shield—he wasn't wearing his iconic uniform.
Wolverine's weapons were his indestructible Adamantium claws, so he didn't need any extra gear.
As for Banner and Betty, they only took so diagnostic equipnt from the school, hoping it might co in handy later.
The group boarded the X-Jet and quickly made their way toward Old Bridge Town in New xico.
About an hour later, they arrived above the town.
"We need a plan, and we should assign tasks. We can't just go in all obvious; it will give us away," Steve said, pulling out a map of Old Bridge Town. He was about to suggest a plan when Tony, already in his Iron Man suit, flew out.
"I'll scan the area around Old Bridge Town first and see if there's anything unusual," Tony called out.
"Don't mind him, Steve. Continue with your plan," George said with a smile, signaling for Steve to keep going.
Every hero has their own personality, strengths, and weaknesses. George didn't plan on collecting them as his subordinates—he wasn't that type of leader, and he didn't have the energy for it either.
Take Tony, for example. There was no way he could make Tony his underling.
These heroes would naturally start to see each other's rits and work together, gradually improving their relationships. What George needed to do was bring them together, give them a goal, and let them solve it themselves. He would handle any gaps in the plan from behind the scenes, using it to further his own objectives.
If Tony wanted to investigate alone, then so be it.
Besides, Tony's suit was so conspicuous that it would be noticed the mont it hit the ground, and Tony knew that well.
Steve, on the other hand, wanted to proceed thodically and carefully. George and the others would follow Steve's lead.
"Go ahead, Steve," Logan said, puffing on a cigar, nodding at Steve to continue.
Logan wasn't much for planning. If Steve and Tony were willing to handle the strategy, Logan was fine with just handling the fighting—less work for him.
Steve didn't argue with Tony's decision, and he continued laying out the plan using the map of Old Bridge Town.
So, after the X-Jet landed stealthily just outside of the town, George, Steve, and the others split into four different directions to gather information about Loki.
George headed east, Steve west, Logan south, and Banner and Betty north.
As George entered Old Bridge Town from the east, he quickly found a lead near a pet shop—Thor, the God of Thunder, was there.
"I need a horse!" Thor bellowed at the pet shop owner while wearing Earthling clothes.
The pet shop owner stared at Thor as if he were insane. "Sorry, we don't have horses. Only cats, dogs, or birds."
"Then get the biggest one," Thor commanded.
The pet shop owner silently pointed to a large golden retriever in a nearby cage. "That's the biggest."
Thor was speechless.
"Sir, perhaps I can be of so assistance?" George stepped into the pet shop and smiled at Thor.
